First time in. Be prepared to wait n the weekends for a table. Our group had to wait about 20 minutes. The restaurant is a large room format and they have seating outside under a cover and umbrellas. Great service! Good food. They greeted us with a Crepe and jam. I had the Eggs Benedict which was pretty good. My daughter had the Breakfast Burrito and said it was good as well. There's no single "number one" breakfast food, as it varies from people, places, and regions. I judge a place on the Potatoes!!. breakfast, lunch, and dinner, one thing they ALL have in common!!!!!!!!!!! This is a great place for everything. Here I had the (freshly made) in-house corned beef, poached eggs, potato coins, and cinnamon roll. I put the corned beef on the coin and egg on top. Made it even better, next time I will ask for a side of Hollandaise sauce to top it off with. And they are fast with getting out orders. The cinnamon roll made it home with me as my eyes and stomach didn't talk to each other. Give them a shot its worth it at all of the locations. This place is great it's where I can purchase good eggs. Not things though because they do not sell things and getting things from here might be considered theft. Well after taking five seconds to consider what things are I realized the other food might be things and that food is good. I like the eggs n things name either way. The omelettes and breakfast burrito are nice. My sibling LOVES the Swedish pancakes. The free ones are especially good to me. The service is great the servers all seem pretty friendly. The ambiance too I like the chicken decorations and the mural on the wall. Food is amazing I took a friend who "hates" eggs here once and now she likes eggs but to be honest she eventually admitted she only hates hard boiled eggs. Was a busy day. Waited for few minutes to be seated. Finally seated. Ordered our food. The meatballs soup, special for the day, omelet with spinach and tomato with Swiss cheese, my son ordered something that I didn't remember. And orange juice. Soup came out. Delicious. Visited for my first time this past weekend and I can honestly say I love this place. I knew I was in for a great meal when after I sat down, and shortly after I placed my order, they brought over a free crêpe with berry jam on top. It was a great start to the meal and it's so rare that you get anything free when dining out in LA. It's located up in sleepy Thousand Oaks and because of that parking is much easier in this part of LA than down south. There is a large free parking lot attached so parking was really easy. Our server was also extremely polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Inside is quite large and they have many different seating options available and can host many different size groups. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table for a 10 AM Saturday brunch. They have a very large menu filled with all sorts of classic items so it was hard to choose what I wanted to order. As always I started with a cup of coffee and it was strong and did the job. For my meal, I chose the namesake Eggs N Things Omelette because I had heard that their omelettes were seriously tasty and can confirm that they definitely are. They are very large in portion size and I chose to add avocado to mine which I would recommend to anyone. I also got a side biscuit and can say that this is one of the best biscuits I've ever had in LA. I loved every bit of it and would go here again specifically for the biscuits. Stopped into Eggs N Things on a Saturday for late breakfast. We were seated immediately and our server was so friendly, attentive, and shared her recommendations with us. We were told to find our own seat because the hostess was seating other people. While I went to the restroom my daughter ordered me a Diet Coke. When the waitress brought her drink she forgot about mine. She was not a good waitress. She had no name tag visible and was a young girl. Then she left and another waitress came to take her shift and every time we would say Miss she would just ignore us. She was also a lousy waitress. The food was good. We shared pancakes and I gave her my sausage and bacon. The food is the type you would make for yourself at home and the coffee was good. It was a blue collar working persons breakfast. The reason why I'm giving them 5 stars is because of Kelly. She had a blond pony tail which reminded me of Betty from Archie. She was running around getting food, dropping orders off and asking us and others if there was anything she could do for us. She was like sunshine brightening up the whole restaurant. If you eat here I think you'll like the food. If you get Kelly you'll give the place 5 stars. The atmosphere is very serene. Eggs n' things is a classic breakfast joint that we typically compare all breakfast cafes to. The staff is always super sweet and welcoming. It's decorated like a cute little mom and pop cafe, with roosters and farm murals on the walls. They give you little crepes "Swedish pancakes" as a free appetizer with jam and powdered sugar on top. It's honestly one of my favorite parts off Eggs n' Things. Their Denver omelette is my go-to, and you get quite a bit of food as well. The only downside is that the prices have nearly doubled in the last couple of years, which is unfortunate and frustrating. read more

Scouted this place a few weeks ago when I visited from the valley to have a walk around the area and sample the famous Righteous chicken place. Seemed pleasant, with a patio so decided to propose to the family to come here on Mother's Day for a brunch. SETTING: Nice patio that was insanely packed with people waiting outside at 930 am but still managed to sit in the patio with 7 peeps in only 15 minutes (quoted 35-45 min). A cute, inviting interior diner style with booths and tables too. SERVICE: Was spotty and a bit hurried. They were very busy so, whatever. FOOD: Unfortunately, mostly was disappointing. The omelets are pretty good and hefty portions. My house omelet was ok but too much fatty undercooked bacon in it. Hash browns on side weren't nice and crispy, more faded and dull reheated style or not properly pan fried, same shit. They charge $1.00 per egg surcharge, petty and sad considering prices have stabilized. The house biscuit is decent (much better toasted next day) and huge. Steak fries were half-assed reheats next to son's omelet. He had a Mexican style with red sauce, it was ok. Like I said omelets or bust here seems to be the theme. The waffle was THE most tragic breakfast item I've sampled in my life; If this is a Belgian waffle, I'm a German tourist Deuce Bigalow style. The bottom was like a wet sponge, the top soft, deflated and had a sat-on texture, abysmal. Truly shameful to serve this, and what's mind-boggling, people continue to eat this crap. I pleaded with my parents to return it, but they're old and tired didn't want the drama. They couldn't finish even a quarter of it. Even a next day toaster reheat couldn't save this garbage. It was beyond science fiction bad, seriously still in disbelief. Breakfast croissant sandwich wasn't very memorable, lacked flavor too, like a prepackaged market sandwich. Besides decent omelets and the biscuit, the next best thing was the toasted wheat bread, and that's because it had butter on it. An easy, forgettable, regrettable 1 and done. I am a 25 year patron of this establishment and we've been coming here weekly with my 90 year old father. We often order off the kids menu as he is elderly and cannot eat like he used to and the kids meal has smaller portions and silver dollar sized pancakes which you cannot get off the larger menu. Everyone else at the table orders full meals. This morning a lady comes over and advised me that we need to order a full meal for him and that kids meal is not allowed. I explained to her that we come here weekly and have never had an issue. She states well this is not allowed and those servers can get in trouble. Way to treat your long time patrons. Our recent visit to this Eggs 'n' Things was a bit stranger than previous experiences. For the past year and a half I've been having to avoid dairy. Yep, milk, cheese, butter, etc. All the good stuff that adds amazing flavor to foods! I'm not vegan, as I do eat meats and fish, mostly chicken or salmon. After a short stint in the ER recently, Dear Hubby wanted to take me out to breakfast, and suggested Eggs 'n' Things. It was a perfect day to sit outside on their large patio, and wind down from the medical poking and prodding. Well, they don't offer a lot of options for plant-based eaters. The pancakes only come with butter; apparently they don't have any margarine. Ditto for creamers - just half & half. I opted for OJ instead of coffee. It tasted slightly off to me, and a small was $4. The pumpkin pancakes special didn't have a posted price, and I got sticker shock when the bill came. $15.50 for a "short stack" of two pumpkin pancakes, 4 pieces of bacon, and scrambled egg white. Ouch! Isn't that what steak & eggs cost? DH went for a Reuben sandwich and a cup of coffee. The pumpkin pancakes were really tasty, and smelled fragrant and enticing when our server put them down on the table. The actual first bites didn't disappoint. They were so filling that I took half home for another meal, along with half the bacon. With tax & tip, a simple meal cost $52. That's a lot! Had me shaking my head and debating when the next time we might go out to breakfast might be at those prices. I get that wages are up, basic food supplies are up, etc. But, wow! read more

We all ordered different things and everyone was so happy with what they got. I got the croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon and it was so delicious. The croissant was perfectly toasted and the bacon perfectly crispy! I love that when you order your meal you get a complementary Swedish crepe which has been my favorite thing for years!! I used to come here with my family when I was child and during a recent visit over the holidays I stopped in with my parents for breakfast. Eggs N Things is still amazing. The consistency over the years is admirable. Word of warning - you're most likely going to have to wait. But everything good is worth waiting for, right? There is a large patio and lots of seating inside, but since this place is so popular, expect to wait. There is some seating available outside for your wait too. We only had to wait about 15 minutes during our most recent visit. Your meal comes with a complimentary Swedish crepe. I kind of forgot about this because I ordered the Swedish crepes with fruit, opting for something lighter for breakfast. It all worked out though, because I just got more of a good thing. Let's talk about the take out. I am really frustrated with take out because it never fails you don't get what you ordered. Please have someone check the bags before you deliver them to the customers.
