We came to The Galloping Hen before church while visiting a friend who was preaching, and wow, it was fantastic! The service was friendly, and once we were seated, everything came out quickly. My husband and I shared the chilaquiles, and the portion was more than enough for both of us. Our son ordered the Mickey Mouse pancakes, and they were surprisingly delicious! The bacon was cooked perfectly, nice and crispy, and everything we ate was excellent. Great food, great service, casual kitchen ambiance and a wonderful experience overall. We would definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. Highly recommend!

First time at this wonderful restaurant left a big impression. My friend treated me to a delicious birthday breakfast. Service was prompt, the food beautifully presented in a warm welcoming ambiance. Although we chose inside, outside dining is also available. I had an egg white omelet with potatoes and immediately devoured it, before taking a pic...,guess I'll just have to return before my next birthday!! Ample parking in the lot out front.

Tried this hidden gem for the first time and it certainly won't be the last! The food was amazing! We got the Cali Benedict and hen's scrambles, both with breakfast potatoes and they were so flavorful! The portions and prices were more than fair. The staff were friendly and attentive. Shoutout to Amayrani for being great. Highly recommend!

Owners, management, and staff were incredibly friendly. Service was perfect. We had three people checking on us throughout our meal. Atmosphere is open, checkered tablecloths, and comfortable seating (and lots of it). Food? Amazing! Chicken Fried Steak, pancakes, waffles, and Omelettes: all great. We will be back. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.

The food was good and very reasonably priced. Classic diner feel. Good service and quick. Will be back again to try something different. We got pancakes, egg, bacon and a Denver omelette with has browns.

Solid classic diner food in a comfy, family-friendly space. Our servers were incredibly attentive and kept our cups full. I recommend The Galloping Hen if you're looking for a comforting American breakfast/brunch spot serving generous portions in the Conejo Valley!

The best chilaquiles and eggs Benedict I've ever had, no joke!! The food was absolutely incredible and so fairly price. These portions are insane, so next time I might split a plate because we couldn't finish! Super cute place and the staff was so friendly. Will definitely be back.

This is a great breakfast place to visit and enjoy! Not only is the food amazing but the service was prompt! We were greeted with a smile and all our questions were answered. The ambiance was casual and quiet unlike most breakfast places, it was a nice change! Right away, our server came to the table and greeted us. He gave us a few minutes to decode what we wanted and came back to take our order. He made great suggestions and listened to our ridiculous demands. Shortly after ordering, our food came out and was ready. The coffee was not very hot but the rest was great! For the price, I would return here. Everything was lovely and the food was delicious!

Probably the best breakfast place in all of the Conejo Valley. Family affordable. Clean and cheerful. Impeccable service, my coffee cup was never empty. A Lovely dog friendly patio. I had a chili Verde tomitillo omelet. SOOOOO good! cubed potatoes cooked to perfection, choice of toast, biscuit or muffin. The next table had steak and eggs and strawberry waffles Tempting, but I was so full! Can't wait for a return visit. The only thing missing was a mimosa. They need to think about a beer and wine license. HA!

My waffle, but of course, I added syrup and strawberries

We wanted to try a new breakfast place so I found this one on yelp. It was easy to find and when we got there, it wasn't very crowded. But when we left around 10, it was extremely crowded. You can sit outside during the summer, but everybody was inside eating. The decor is non-descriptive, but it was clean and comfortable. Everybody was very friendly and our server was Angel. We didn't want leftovers so we picked some items we thought would work. Ha ha we ended up having leftovers. My husband had the ham and cheese sandwich with a side of fruit. He said it was very good. I wanted a waffle with fruit and bacon and that's what I got. Everything was good including the coffee. Also, the prices were very reasonable. A lot of the breakfast places now cost almost as much as going out to an inexpensive dinner. We will definitely be back.

We found a GEM! Pancakes is what we came for and they did not disappoint! My Husband ordered The Buckaroo" looked odd but, smelled delicious. He loved it. Our server was super attentive and not over bearing at all her name was Amayrani . Amayrani made recommendations for us to eat as well. The decor in the restaurant was so fitting for the name.

    Cute!

While not as good as Japan they were still great and I would eat them again. Their menu is huge with lots of options for everyone. Probably one dish for two people is plenty. Don't over order. I ordered a side of eggs and bacon for each of my boys and it was all way too much. A family nearby brought a loud toy truck for their child that continuously made an extremely high-pitched screeching and beeping noise throughout our meal. It wasn't just us who found it disruptive--several other customers also brought it to the staff's attention. Unfortunately, nothing was done, and it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Had we known this was the atmosphere we were paying for, we honestly would have gone somewhere like McDonald's instead. The food itself was a mixed experience. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and really enjoyed it. I had the pancakes, which had great flavor but were a little on the dry side. The sweet potato fries were delicious, although the ranch dipping sauce was surprisingly bland and lacked flavor. My Diet Coke was also flat. It's disappointing because the food had some strong points, but the lack of attention to the dining experience really overshadowed everything else. We understand that restaurants can't control every guest, but when multiple customers express concerns about a major disturbance, we would expect staff to at least attempt to address it. Overall, I'm not sure I can recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Note: I'd also like to mention that the service was inconsistent throughout our visit. We ended up being helped by several different servers, which made it difficult to know who was actually taking care of our table. At one point, we simply wanted to order another drink. Our server told us he would be back shortly to take our order, but he never returned. After waiting for quite some time, we eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to order a drink. Between the lack of attentive service and the way the disturbance was handled, the overall experience was disappointing.

I was hoping to add this place to my rotation of local breakfast hangout spots that I patronize. In the dining room, they were streaming some pulsating hyperpop music laden with heavy explicit lyrics. Totally inappropriate. Not the type of vibe I'm looking for at 7:30 in the morning. Ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. The burrito was heavy on the breakfast potatoes, it took up more than half of the burrito. Unfortunately, the potatoes were all undercooked which made them CRUNCHY and unbearably BLAND. The amount of thin breakfast sausage slices inside was small relative to the entirety of the burrito. The scrambled eggs with cheese inside were very good! It came with a small cup of salsa which was excellent, unfortunately the cup was only half filled. It was not nearly enough as the burrito was so bland because of the large amount of undercooked potatoes. I could have easily used two or three cups of salsa to give it taste. I'll be willing to give them a second chance in a few weeks, I'm curious to see if my experience will be better as I am hoping that today was just an aberration.
