    2 Eggs Anyway
    Sharr K.

I'm really not understanding the 5 star reviews here. I've been here a handful of times with my friends. Each time there was something wrong with the order. If there are other people dining we can see their orders were also wrong. There seem to be no process or communication happening between the waiter and the cook/owner. There were several times we can hear them argue in the back. Although this last visit, my friend communicated directly with the cook/owner of how she wanted her eggs. They still came out wrong. We have seen high turnaround of waiters....although the last one stuck around for a while. He never smiled and always looked stressed. Not surprisingly they have a new waiter our last visit. The food is ok, and the sourdough bread is good. I've tried their carrot cake once and it was excellent. The owner gave us some macarons once when they messed up on our order. The macarons were ok. For the past few times they offer a discount if you paid with cash. They changed this policy our last visit. The discount only applies to the purchase of their fresh bread.

What a wonderful bakery! The pastries are to die for. We got a chocolate croissant and raspberry muffin and were so impressed with the flavors. The muffin was perfectly moist and the croissant had the most beautiful flaky layers. My husband got a quiche and he couldn't stop raving about it. The quiche crust was a particular highlight he mentioned. The service was excellent and the indoor seating area was bright and welcoming. We will be back!

Cafe Mocha, croissant, cappuccino, and blueberry muffin - all fantastic.

We have been exploring bakeries and coffee spots in the Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Agoura area and La Princiere is today's discovery. What a gem. Super friendly. Bright, clean decor. I don't often have fancy coffees but somehow was drawn to the mocha. Enjoyed every single drop. Croissant and blueberry muffin beautifully made. Delicious vegetable quiche. We will be back!

The inside of La Princière was so cute and their beautiful pastries are on display in a big glass case. They all looked so enticing. Service was a little confusing. They seemed busy enough but there was only one person at the front trying to cover several orders. They were kind but it was not efficient. The coffee was great! I got an iced caramel latte that was perfectly sweet and rich. I practically inhaled it. My boyfriend got a mocha latte and liked it equally as much. I got a chocolate almond croissant. I don't know if it was just a miss today but I did not enjoy it. The flavor was good but the croissant was not flaky at all like it should have been but stodgy and squishy the whole way through instead. It was not pleasant to eat. I hope I can come back sometime and get a croissant that can redeem this one! We also got just the plain pan au chocolate and it was perfect, flaky and buttery and chocolatey.

A lovely experience in this true French patisserie, set in a tiny TO mini mall. The croissants are perfectly laminated and the sourdough is fresh from the oven. You can even purchase French butter to bring home and enjoy your carbs in peace. Order at the counter but enjoy at a table for the best experience.

Second time here and I'll return. The exterior is simple, but the interior takes you to France with cute French decor and French music. Real plants on the tables add to the ambience. Fresh sourdough was put on display at our arrival. Three patrons came in just to buy the bread. The bread is crusty on the outside and soft on the inside but pricey at $12/loaf. The coffee was not strong enough for my liking, but the almond croissant was flaky and sweet. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict with tender jambon (thinly sliced ham) and perfectly poached eggs. It came with a nice salad topped with thinly sliced pears. Counter service is friendly.

Croissants next to heavy walking foot traffic area next to washing station, area looks unkept
    Brittany S.

I noticed two things. One, a lot of employees were walking around , cleaning things up, putting cups away, cleaning up trash, and then handling a few food items, without washing hands in between . Second thing I noticed, is the long tray of croissants were directly behind the feet of the cashier, right in heavy walking traffic isle , next to the printer and To-go boxes, next to the washing station. I'm pretty sure floor debris can fly and land on the first two rows of the baking tower I think a little re organizing in the kitchen area or a closed croissant case might be better Croissant was a little too dry for my liking The inside was well decorated and lighted Employees were nice

Crusty, toasted baguette, tender tri-tip, and perfectly melted Gruyere. The dipping sauce was rich and flavorful, a perfect complement. Each sandwich also came with a fresh side salad of arugula and goat cheese. The croissants were very good. We arrived close to closing, so the pastries may not have been at peak freshness. I would recommend enjoying them earlier in the day, ideally with coffee or tea. Since we were sharing, our server sliced each croissant in three pieces. Thank you! The cafe itself is charming, with warm dark wood, cozy seating, and a fireplace that adds to the ambiance. Indoor temperature was a bit cool during our visit, but still a pleasant environment, and there is outdoor seating as well. The staff was friendly and service was quick. One small note: it would help if the staff had a better grasp of the menu and felt more confident describing it. The food speaks for itself and is worth highlighting. Parking was close and easy, and I especially enjoyed the light jazz playing in the background, including standards sung beautifully by Ella Fitzgerald. P.S. I always forget to snap photos. The sandwich was Insta-worthy.

I think I would dub this one of the BEST chai's I've ever had. 10/10. Their classic breakfast bites hit the spot too. I had a breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and a fresh egg. Simple but good. I'd get this again but also would be open to trying some of their other bites. 8/10. The handmade bakery section here was unreal. The apple pastry I ordered was pure nostalgia and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more of their daily baked goods. The selection was huge and lots of different options to try. I think their passionfruit pastry will be calling my name next time. Lastly I leave you with a Fun fact: if you're a football fan or into chess, this is your cafe. Chess tables are available for playing at and it's the perfect morning spot to catch matches over coffee and pastries. Liverpool fans especially welcome here ;) Sorry it took me so long to find this spot but they've got a new fan now!
