We were in the mood for a tasty sweet and decided to give Carrara's a try. We both got Chai Lattes ( spicy delicious) and a couple pastries. So light and delicious.
I have wanted to stop by for some time. My significant other and I had a chance tonight after dinner next door. We were greeted right away, and we let one of the people working there know we wanted to take a look around as it was our first time stopping in, which was okay. The shop itself was empty. We took a look at the ice cream selection, the full cakes, and then the pastries. Everything looked really good. We decided on a chocolate trilogia pastry and a red velvet pastry to go. The transaction went well. When we got home, we ate the goodies. The trilogia was fresh and had great flavor. The red velvet, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The cake part was dry, and the frosting was dense and had little flavor. Maybe I just ended up getting an older one, but at $8.25, I had expected a much better item. The service was great, but as a red velvet lover, the flavor was not as expected. I would potentially try again but would sample some other treats.
Amazing service Molly was helping us. She was very kind and sweet to my kids. Gave my kids stickers. Make them feel very happy. This is our first time here. If we come to this area again. We would be here again. Such a great service.
Alright Carrara's... You got me.... Twice!! Let me explain On June 14th 2025, after having an amazing dinner at Two Doughs Pizza located within the same shopping plaza, we decided to walk around the Whizin Market Square to walk off our meal. Besides the multiple eateries in the Square, they also have some really fun, eclectic shops where you can find some really neat gifts and/or some really cool finds for your home. While walking through the shops... There. It. Was. Carrara's Pastries. And although I don't normally have a sweet tooth, my wife & kids Always do! So we decided to check it out. And despite my mouth not having a sweet tooth, apparently my eyes do, because as soon as my eyes saw the amazing desserts behind their glass case, I too now wanted, no needed, a dessert of my own. So after perusing their delicious selection... A Frittelle for me... A Red Velvet Cake with fresh berries for my kids... And a Tiramisù sponge cake for my wife. And if you don't think I ordered a cappuccino to go with my pastry, then you just don't know me at all! For a moment there... I felt like we were transported right back to Italy. It reminded me of this little pastry/coffee shop that we went to in Florence right near the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella. Now I say, If a little pastry shop located in Agoura Hills, California can resemble a shop located in Florence, Italy approximately 7,000 miles away, I think they are doing something right. Each dessert was perfectly perfect! Not too sweet and was the perfect serving size to satisfy that sweet tooth that apparently I do have. And now, just a little over a month later, it was time to write my review for Carrara's Pastries. Here is where they got me again! Before writing my review, I looked at what Carrara's stated on their 'from the business' section on Yelp. Their sentiment, their love for what they do and their absolute appreciation for their customers is what makes them stand out from the rest. I love a mom & pop business for this very reason! They do what they do because they have a vision, and that vision is not always about just making a profit or even breaking even. It's often about sharing their passion, their craft, their specialty with the world. To this I say, Bravo to Carrara's Pastries for chasing that dream and doing it wholeheartedly with love. In my book, you are representing the Motherland and making all of the Italian Grandmas proud! Ciao!
I absolutely love this place. The staff is always incredibly friendly, and no matter what time you stop by--day or night--they're fully stocked, and everything is freshly made. My all-time favorite treat is the shortbread cookie filled with Nutella and Rice Krispies. They are seriously addictive. The cookie dough is soft and flaky, and the generous filling of Nutella combined with the crispy texture from the Rice Krispies creates the perfect bite. I usually buy a whole box, and they stay soft for at least a week. Even though I live miles away, I'll gladly make the trip just for these cookies. They also offer a wide selection of pastries and desserts, all of which look absolutely delicious.
I discovered this place at least 10 years ago at their first location in Moorpark. Their cakes have always been consistent! They truly have the best cakes, especially their tiramisu and Velina!!! You can't go wrong here. Highly, highly recommend!
Picked up some cannoli & fruit tarts to go. They always put it in the beautiful boxes- which makes presentation so much better. It's a smaller location than the moorpark one, but the pastries are the same. They have indoor and outdoor seating in the plaza. Service was quick which made it a fast visit. Parking- shared parking lot with other businesses
I dream of CARRARA's PASTRIES in Agoura Hills often due to the most delicious treat of all: FRITELLE!! These sugary balls of heaven (fried dough bread) are filled with their chantilly cream. They remind me so much of malasadas from Hawaii, except they are served chilled, which surprisingly, still tastes incredibly fresh!!! When malasadas cool down, you'll discover how much oil they hold! But these, THESE FRITELLEs, are none other than chef's kiss!! I've also enjoyed their mini fruit tarts and Bigne's! The bignes are similar to coco puffs from Liliha Bakery! Yeah I know...another comparison to a Hawai'i treat, but I can't help it. If I can't be on the island to enjoy those treats, the next best thing is visiting Carrara's Pastries in Agoura Hills, CA! There is such a variety of Italian pastries here. The other night we enjoyed a Fritelle and Bigne with a small pot of hot tea onsite. Customer service was excellent as always and the ambiance provides a warm and inviting space to relax and wind down from the daily challenges that work or life might bring. I really love this Italian Cafe. It's such a gem!! If you order pastries to go, the pink box they are packaged in is adorable. I'm always finding ways to repurpose these!!
I came here with my platonic male friend who is super sweet and treated me to a dinner and pastries in his city. It was totally worth the drive in traffic. I love mom and Pop type of bakery shops like this with a great vibe, cozy, warm feel and delicious pastries and so many to choose from! Service was great too! My favorite was the to go boxes they put it in so pretty! You've got to check out this cute plaza it's a hidden gem.

Delicious desserts and the cutest little café! This place is such a gem. The café is cozy, charming, and the perfect spot to relax or catch up with a friend. The desserts were absolutely delicious--fresh, beautifully made! Staff were warm and welcoming and service was excellent! I'll definitely be back.
I love coming to Carrara's to end my evening with a nice drink and something sweet to eat. Carrara's Pastries offers fantastic desserts, cookies, and hot and cold beverages. I love their hot Chai or the Tumeric Latte and usually pair it with their yummy cream puffs! They also have ready made pastries available for purchase. Everything is delicious in there! Seating is limited inside, but so far I have been lucky to find seats with my family. My only complaint is during my last 2 visits, my latte was not hot enough. So, make sure you ask them to heat the milk enough before serving the latte.

This is an elegant cafe with Italian-style pastries, frozen yogurt cakes, and finely crafted coffee. The store is beautifully decorated inside and is a hot spot for people to sit and relax while sipping coffee and/or having a treat. We have been patrons for years, and whenever we have a celebration, this is always one of the places we consider. The pastries and cakes are absolutely delicious, artistically presented, and surprisingly light and refreshing. Our favorite is their wild berry yogurt cake, but we have also tried some of their other cakes, including the tiramisu, and have enjoyed them all. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. I recently picked up a birthday cake and had the birthday message written on a chocolate sheet. The whole process took only a few minutes, which was especially convenient. Their cakes come in small, medium, and large sizes. The larger sizes can sell out, so if you need a medium or large cake, it's probably best to order ahead. I recommend this place to all who enjoy a heart healthy treat! read more

Drove all the way from Burbank just to check out Carrara's Pastry Shop in Agoura Hills--and wow, they absolutely did not disappoint. It's a small, charming café with a cozy atmosphere, featuring old-school car collectibles displayed on a shelf that add a unique touch. They also offer outdoor seating where you can enjoy your desserts surrounded by lush greenery, natural foliage, and a peaceful little waterfall pond. The service was great as well, they were friendly and welcoming and answered all my questions. suggested I definitely I ended up picking up a chocolate and hazelnut cake with an incredibly soft, spongy interior that was perfectly balanced and rich without being overwhelming. I also grabbed a single serving of the blueberry cheesecake, which was light, airy, and still decadently satisfying--definitely worth every spoonful. The rum babas were a standout: bite-sized, soaked in Jamaican rum, filled with Chantilly cream, and topped with a raspberry. So flavorful and unique--each bite was indulgent without being too heavy. And then there was the Velina cake... oh my goodness. A beautiful sponge layered with chocolate mousse and hazelnut mousse, all covered in a glossy dark chocolate glaze. It was so rich and decadent that I had to slow myself down just to fully enjoy every bite. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and worth the drive. I'd absolutely come back again. read more

The best triple chocolate mousse cake called Trilogia in the area. Delicious, elegant and... gluten free! It comes in a fancy box to impress. I don't live around here but had to buy a celebratory cake for my manager, they did not disappoint. read more

A great place to treat yourself to a freshly made pastry and coffee while in the area. Their pastries are always fresh and delicious. You can find eklairs, muffins, cookies, mini pies and more. Variety of teas and coffees. Indoor and outdoor seating for your enjoyment. Great ambiance, customer service is ok.... Lots of parking.... Carrara's Pastries is located on the right side within the beautiful Whizin Market Square. As soon as you step inside, the smells of fresh baked goods fills your soul. The display case of pastries and desserts is captivating and it's just a comforting environment. We ordered a spinach and feta pastry, a ham and cheese one, a blueberry muffin, and a hazelnut latte, totaling to under $30. The staff was friendly and made the visit enjoyable. read more

Visited this cute place after having dinner at wood ranch and so glad we stopped by. They have lots of delicious pastries on display along different coffees and teas. There is also a gelato section which we would have tried if the weather wasn't so cold. The service was really nice and answered any questions we had. Even though it was busy they didn't mind taking time to deal with our picky selection. Would definitely come back when in the area. read more

5 stars for the tiny berry custard fruit tarts ... incredible. Please make in a full size tart ! Tried the strawberry cheesecake which was just ok to me along with the lemon mousse/cake. Might be for someone else's pallet but they weren't my favorites. Try the fruit tart! Packaging is also very pretty. read more

I have been traveling a lot looking for the best vanilla iced latte around. This place definitely is one of best I've had if not the best. Their croissant was perfect texture. Soft and warm in the middle. I really do recommend trying it for yourself. Talon the manager was amazing, his positive energy and great attitude really made the experience great. The ambiance was clean and the treats were all set up nicely. Definitely will be coming back when I'm in the area! read more

It's is cute Italian pastry shop. The set up and deco reminds me of Italy. The pastries were so yummy. The sfogliatelle is my favorite - tasted like the one I had in Napoli. It is a must when you visit this place. The other pastries were equally good. Baked fresh daily. They also sell gelato by the pint. And it's good! They had cakes as well- they all looked very pretty and delicious. Gotta try it next time. Customer service is great. They were all nice and helpful. This place just became my new favorite pastry shop. read more
