Second time here and this time we got a croffle! They were out of a lot of things so we were only able to get the matcha/strawberry one. I wouldn't get it again but it was ok. The matcha powder was VERY strong and the croffle itself was a bit burnt. For almost $10 for one, I was expecting it to be a bit more tasty. A Tea Thing is definitely a more underrated boba place in town. There aren't too many boba stores nearby, so it's nice that this one is convenient and also in the shopping center with Target and In-n-Out. They have a good sized menu with a lot of basic go-to items and must haves. A Tea Thing ALSO has dairy alternatives and drinks without dairy and/ or caffeine. The workers are always super chill and pretty laidback, and the store is typically never too busy or packed. Definitely a student hang-out and/ or a good place to study after school. Menu has a good variety of drinks and snacks. Menu design looks appealing. Went ahead with a Coconut Cream Green Thai Tea and a Cookie 'n' Cream Croffle. The coconut cream striked a strong salty taste, yet short on the coconut flavor. Boba was excellent, was just soft enough and warm. Green Thai Tea was not "serving." The croffle was awesome. Took it for to-go. The croffle still held the crunchiness after a 15 minutes drive. The cream fell more on the sweet side. If only it was a little more salty, which could well-balance the sweetness from toppings. Employees were attentive. They provided frequent updates on my croffle. Would recommend this place read more

I really wish my experience at A Tea Thing had been better, but honestly, it was a letdown from start to finish. The service was terrible. The employee at the counter seemed completely annoyed to be doing her job - sighing, barely making eye contact, and treating both me and the customer before me like we were inconveniences rather than paying customers. It instantly made the whole place feel unwelcoming. I specifically went out of my way to come here instead of other tea shops because they advertised large-sized drinks on their website. Turns out, they don't even offer that size anymore! What a waste of my time. If you're going to change your menu, at least update your website - it's false advertising at this point. I ended up ordering something anyway since I was already there, but I definitely won't be back. Save yourself the disappointment and head somewhere else where they actually care about customer service and are honest about what they sell. On your way back home I was craving a nice cold tea and of course I checked Yelp for tea shops around the area. After reading a couple of reviews I decided to stop and grab a tea here. I'm so glad I did, because I loved the tea I ordered was amazing! I would go get another one right now if it wasn't a little far from home. I ordered their Lychee-Lemon tea. I got a free add on for checking into Yelp, so I added lychee jelly and that made my drink even better!! Service was good. They take your order in the counter and you wait for your order to be ready, once it's ready they call your name and you grab your drink go. Boba, where art thou??!! Having lived in Las Vegas where a boba cafe exists on almost every corner, I have noticed boba shops are a few and far between in this area. A Tea Thing is the closest to us (~4 miles away) and it has filled the void so far. We have visited twice and our initial reaction is that they offer a unique drink menu with a bright & airy dining area. The quality is there, but a bit too sweet for my liking. I'll have to make some adjustments in the future, but I will say I am used to being asked about the levels of sweetness/ice/toppings up front at other cafes. Also, pricing is a bit higher probably due to the location in Westlake Village, but the drink sizes seem a bit larger so that's a plus. We're tried these drinks so far: -Coconut Cream Green Thai Tea - good -Coconut Cream Viet Coffee - very sweet -Mangonada - blended slushy type For convenience, we'd probably return every time we visit Target. Service has been okay; Nothing special to elevate the ordering experience. Next time I'll try a hot drink with a Croffle and dine-in! read more

When you open the door the fresh, delicious smell of their croffle and the sweet of the fresh boba gets you! The are so many choices for boba drinks, traditional and slushy ones, different tea bases and many different types of boba. The price is a bit steeper than normal but you are in Westlake Village. The wait can get a little long after you order, so don't go thinking you will get in and out in 15 minutes. Got signature fresh milk tea - tried all the 3 different tea they have. All are equally good. Tropical Fruit Tea - also good. I like how it they use real fruit and put big chunks in the drink.
