I have been ordering drinks from Matcha Boba in Thousand Oaks for years. I especially love their matcha boba drink. The owners are the ones that are usually serving me and they are amazing! Always professional, kind and they are the hardest working individuals I know. I appreciate the quality of their drinks and the consistency. I have since moved and will still drive 30 minutes just for their drinks. I tried other boba shops where I live now and the quality was no where as good. The best boba shop I have been to! read more

Delicious boba and friendly service! We went after having lunch near by. Didn't know quite what to order so we got one of their specials, the mango coconut rice drink, peach green tea, lychee green tea and the dirty milk tea. The mango coconut rice drink tasted just like the name. Was like eating the desert in a drink form. It was really delicious. The teas were also very good with the right amount of sweetness. Usually most boba places will make their drinks overly sweet but this was made just the way we like them. The owners were super friendly and helpful. The place was on the smaller side but there are tables out in the courtyard if you wanted to stick around to enjoy your drink. I was feeling for a boba drink after day at work. This location was best-rated amongst all the options I had, therefore I went here Upon entering, I was greeted by the owner and the barista. They were very hospitable. Noticed that I was unsure what to order, the owner extended her recommendations. I moved forward with Green Tea Pomegranate fruit tea with Boba and Lychee jelly. After the owner sent me a kind message regarding my previous 3 star review, explaining the situation and reasoning for my experience, I went to give Matcha Boba another chance today. I can confidently say my experience this time was stellar, the lady helping me was extremely nice and welcoming, as well as very helpful when I asked some questions about the drinks, and she assisted me with my drink modifications. It was wonderful, quick and the type customer service I was hoping for. The drinks I got today were fantastic, I would definitely order them again! I did not want to take advantage of the complementary drinks that were offered to me by the owner over our messages, as I am one to always support local/small businesses, however the gesture is greatly appreciated as it proves this buisness cares about their customers. I understand now that my poor experience last time was definitely a misunderstanding based on busy and stressful circumstances. It honestly reminded me of Nesquik chocolate milk, but with a richer, creamier twist. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back to try more! This is my first visit at Matcha Boba. It's located at the Janss Marketplace, near the movie theater side. It was a tad busy on a very chilly night. Bob was super friendly, informative & gave us a few suggestions. He was able to customize my drink order for me without any issues. Even though they ran out of Boba, he apologized, & offered other alternatives. I was ok with it, since I don't particularly add boba to my drinks... My drink was good. I didn't want it sweet, so he was able to adjust it for me... They have hot drink options as well. Next time I will order one of these on a chilly night lol. Just having a small conversation with Bob & the other gal helping out makes me want to visit this shop again. They were welcoming & executed drinks for our group of 8. To begin my gf has been coming to this spot for years now with no issue. I ordered a pina colada frappe and my gf ordered a brown sugar milk tea. Before that she had originally ordered the dirty horchata but he explained that it had a shot of espresso. Because of this my gf told him she wanted the brown sugar one instead, he responded with I'm just letting you know what you're getting into in a rude way. After paying he grabbed our receipt and roughly placed it on the counter. While waiting for our drinks we overheard them talking loudly about my gf saying how they were live streaming and how they were gonna show how "mean" my gf was being to millions of people. He told his co-worker how he's been working there all day and he was just trying to help despite my gf being "mean". We didn't confront them or start a scene and I'm not sure what she said or did wrong but it was overall a horrible experience. We still tipped them even after he was rude, they need better customer service as we will not be returning. read more

Today we had a really bad experience at this place. Really bad customer service. The employee was really rude and when I told him that's not the way to treat his costumers he said that's the way he was. Also told me I was banned from the place. I told him I was putting a review on yelp he came out to apologize and tried to make me happy. I told him I was not changing my mind and then the owner came out to tell me she was sad and that I was not supporting her because I was giving them a bad review. I told them I was not going to keep arguing with them in front of my kids I asked them to please give them my drink so we could leave. The owner kept saying I need to understand them because they work 24 hours which I understand but still the way we got treated and coming from the owner is not okay. read more
