Completely different experience from the last visit which was quite a while ago. Normally whenever we're here it's usually for breakfast. Sunday morning and it was quite busy. It normally is which is a good sign for the business. Also seems a lot like the locals as they tend to know each other. Plus, it was quite nice when we walked in and told that they hadn't seen us in quite some time. Nice to be noticed. Patio area was quite busy even as it was quite hot out early morning. The seats are covered with umbrella but the sun does makes it way through. Our usual, we always start with the bottle for mimosas. Price wise for the bottle for two was well worth it compared to a glass each. I always stick to my usual here, the chicken fried steak with gravy. Served with country potatoes, 2 eggs, and a side of biscuits and gravy. The perfect breakfast meal for me. We also had the pistol omelette. Pastrami omelette served pancake styles. Which came with tots which I didn't even know they had as an option. Plus an extra side of small stack pancakes. Food was great, service was nice. Until next time.

Drove up from West LA specifically for breakfast here and I'm happy that I did so. I am working through a long list of recommended breakfast restaurants and diners in Los Angeles County and Old Susana was on that list. I would describe it as a local gem and more of a to go breakfast spot that also caters to indoor dining. You can order at the counter and grab it to go or you can sit down in the dining room and have full service, which is what we did. There is a large parking lot attached with free parking so finding a space is very easy. Pricing is also very fair and all the sizes of the dishes are quite large. Our server was also very polite and everything that we ordered came out very quickly. This was our first visit so I wanted to get one of my favorite things to order which is Eggs Benedict. I saw that they had a Crab Cake Eggs Benedict so I selected that and I'm very happy that I did so. The crabcakes had a lot of flavor, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the side of hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. I was honestly impressed with the meal and it was a better breakfast than I had last weekend at another breakfast restaurant close by. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and plan to be back sometime in the future once I get through my list.

Breakfast was phenomenal. Not too crowded for a Thursday. Everything was well seasoned. Bacon was cooked to perfection, so crispy. Sausage was juicy.

The food was delicious. Great home-made taste and presentation. Waitress and other staff are very friendly. Quick refills and attention to details. The bacon is very tasty and almost gives a chicharrón taste. Pancakes are fluffy. The addition of salted butter instead of regular is very nice. The ambiance is calm and old school type of cafe. Definitely worth a try. If your a local make sure you flip the $5 coupon that comes in those amazing deals magazine that get sent in the mail around town.

    Dog friendly outdoor dining.

Dog friendly. Staff will bring a dog water bowl for your pups on request. My wife and I go for a morning hike at Corriganville and have breakfast afterwards here.

Good old continental breakfast. It's good stuff and we loved that there was a patio that allowed us to bring our dogs. We went on Memorial Day so it was crazy busy for a Monday morning which we understood. It took us a bit long to get seated and get our food but that's what happens when you go during a holiday. The staff was so kind and sweet. They were understanding of our long wait and the chaos of the restaurant. It's a really family friendly and homey vibe. I'd come back again but you can really get this food anywhere else. I would come back to try their croissant waffle though!

The food came out pretty quickly and the person taking my order was pretty patient with me taking my time to look at their menu. The ambiance was nice too - it seems like a cozy enough place for people to hang out and I even saw someone working on their laptop for awhile. I will say the foods looked good but seemed a little pricey for the service size, so I avoided ordering anything else this time. Might check them out in the future.

Then somehow the avocado toast we waited 15 minutes for, was remade in less than two minutes...we just threw it out because they likely just put it in a new container. They also have a bunch of merch to buy and support such as hats, hoodies, and bracelets. They have a huge list of food and drinks. They came up with super cute names for the drinks revolving dog breeds. I ordered a few drinks since it was my first time so I could sample and see what my favorite was. I ordered the golden retriever which was kind of like a caramel macchiato. I loved it! I also ordered the kibble cold brew with dark chocolate and coco puffs. This one sounded so fun and I loved the idea of it. I liked pretty sweet drinks so it wasn't my favorite. They were so kind and I switched it for a Labrador. Those two drinks the golden retriever and the Labrador were so delicious. These might be my go to drinks. But I might have to try some new flavors as well as they all sound so tempting and fun! I brought a few of my friends today so we could all try this new place and support. We all really enjoyed it and the mission. While we were there a bunch of teenagers came in to help put the labels on the cups. It was so nice seeing them enjoy themselves while working and helping out the coffee shop. I will definitely be back and continue to support them as well as tell my friends about this place.

Our server seem to be really new and not knowing what she was doing. It was frustrating having to ask for everything the whole time. We decided to get the meat lovers skillet, tricolor burrito, fiesta omelette, French toast. I asked for the shredded beef for my tricolor burrito, I also asked for no onions as this was another ingredient with this burrito. When I got my burrito, I thought there was a lot of onions. So I asked the server. She went to the kitchen and asked and was told that the shredded beef comes with onions. I believe that since I had mentioned, I don't want any onions, it would have been great to mention that the shredded beef already has onions so we would have chosen another meat option and not send the dish back to the kitchen. After I received my plate, saw so many onions, decided to mention it to the server and that's when she went back to the kitchen to ask, then realized it has the onions. And when I asked for asada meat, I was told it's extra. All this conversation, the server keeps coming back-and-forth to the kitchen, which was really frustrating. I end up getting the chicken, it was a good option. Our family liked the meat, lovers skillet, and the French toast Food was good however I would not be returning because the service was absolutely horrible
