Worst Carls Jr experience. Walked in and two female workers were sitting with it looked like two other friends at a table. They were annoyed when I came in and had somewhat an attitude and awkward vibe when I was just trying to have a normal experience and buy my food and leave. Since the vibe was weird I felt suspicious thankfully I looked at the bag to notice that there is a puddle of grease at the bottom of the bag and they gave me barely any waffle fries and on top of that one of the waffle fries wasn't even fully cooked. We hadn't been to Carl's Jr. in awhile and I was shocked (mouth on floor) to see these prices! We were the only people there, one man came in when we were leaving. Restaurant was clean, the young woman taking our order was nice, but I don't remember her asking us for the size we wanted for my son's meal and she gave us large. A guacamole burger, 3-piece chicken strip meal, and jalapeño poppers were $29. She brought the food out to our table, which was nice. The burger was decent, but barely any meat. My son's fries were extra crispy, almost burned and the chicken strips were thin and small. The poppers were over coated and the cheese tasted off. Won't be back. read more

Sad to have to bring this down to three stars from four. The staff is super nice. But when the managers only schedule one of them at a time for the evening shifts, it puts way too much strain on them and delays food delivery significantly. Waited 15 minutes at the window in the drive-through after waiting 15 minutes behind the last person at the window. A 4 car line built up behind me and idk how they plan to catch up if its gonna take 15 minutes a car. Been going to this location for years, since they opened and I am never going back. The cost of the food has not only increased exponentially but the quality of food and sevice has gotten terrible. If they are going to raise prices this high, then they can afford to pay the employees better so that they may provide better quality control. Our order was not correct. The sauce on the sandwich was watered down and made bun very soggy. The lettuce on the sandwich was rotten. They ask if I want house dressing, I say yes and they forget it completely. Very disappointed with such a bad meal especially considering as much as they are charging now. Holy Cow! Just went through the drive-thru and they hit me $30 for three burgers, 2 of which were Big Carl's and the other the new rib thing they are touting, plus one order of fries. I almost choked when the the numbers popped up on the screen. For that amount of cash I could go to a real restaurant and actually get served instead of being told to pull out of line and wait for your order. I just made my last Carl's run until I hit the lotto. The people were nice so this does not reflect on them, but I'm still in shock so let that be known as this is posted. I'm a forgiving person so I gave this place chance after chance after chance. Almost EVERY time the order is wrong and the employee is clueless. Sorry, I hate to say it but after 2 years, I can't stand it. Food is mediocre and never as good as any other Carls location I've ever been to. Stale bread, thin patties, overpriced. After trying to correct an order I get attitude and a bag handed over To me with no words being said. .. kind of like "just get the hell out of here". There's a reason no one is in your line... EVER. After a certain period of time think about what the common denominator is. Get a new speaker system, get some training, and get an attitude adjustment. Simi valley location sucks, last week I ordered 5 pc chicken tenders, when I went home I was surprised and mad at the same time, the tenders were dry and tiny, looked like they were cooked a while ago so they became very dry, inside was very very dry, color of the chicken was..... I don't know how to describe it cause I could hardly see the meat, few weeks ago I bought the same from Burbank location, it was so tender juicy and pieces were huge, I won't be surprised if they start to close some carls junior locations. I normally wouldn't write a review for a fast food chain but my husband loves Carl's Jr., so we come here more often than we should and I wanted to praise the quality of customer service provided at this location. Every single time I visit, the staff are so pleasant and beyond friendly. We take coupons for discounted meals and they always hand it back to us asking us to visit again. I would also use multiple coupons at once and they all of accept them unlike other places. read more

No response except for 10.13 at the next window Major attitude from the cashier who was not in uniform, wearing a hoodie and a crappy look on her face. Handed her cash- she shoved my change back into my hand as well as my drink. Messed my order up- When I asked for equal for my tea- she threw 10 packets into my back- on top of my fries. Let me first say this, I couldn't understand a thing the guy who took my order was saying, his accent was so thick and he was talking so fast it sounded like he was smuggling two dozens grapes in his cheeks. Me and my lunch buddy came here for lunch during "Tofu Week" when the Tofu place across the parking lot was closed. Needless to say, I was utterly and completely devastated at the closure of the tofu place. The place seems big. We walked in the door, and walked to the register. I'd been trying to get my buddy to try the oh-so-tasty Jalapeno burger. (The Southwest Patty Melt) I ordered mine from the nice girl behind the register, double patty, small combo, and swapped the french fries for fried zucchini. (Zucchini counts as a vegetable serving...right?) The girl behind the counter gave me a table number and I walked over to get a table. My burger arrived shortly. I opened it up and let it cool. I tried a fried zucchini, it was cut in chip format rather than the classic wedge design that I've seen at other places. I popped one in my mouth. It was very tasty. Carl's Jr has impressed me yet again. I picked up the burger and took a bite. Meat combined with Jalapenos and grilled onions and pepper jack cheese hit my taste buds and it was delicious. I am quite in love this burger. My buddy (who had thought up, and was very excited for tofu week) had some positive things to say about the burger, but they had to be sifted from his overall statements. He was not as enthralled by the burger as I was. There is no doubt in my mind that I will visit Carl's Jr again. There is no doubt in my mind that I will eat this burger again. So displeased! Went yesterday to get the Low carb burger (I get it frequently) we got onion rings and a spicy chicken. Onion rings were stale and barely warm like they were sitting out on a counter, lettuce on burger was shitty yellow ends of lettuce, tomatoes were griddy, burger was burned and luke warm. It was so soggy that it leaked through to the bag, and the bottom of the box it came in broke. And surprise surprise! Same shitty lettuce ends on spicy chicken. If a big chain like this can't get lettuce right on a lettuce wrapped burger maybe they shouldn't offer such things. Or maybe it's because they are more focused on their 5.00 deals. Sad read more

I can't turn back because I'll be late for work and I can't call because I didn't have my phone. So I called back a few hours later and... The woman on the phone was incredibly RUDE!!! I tried to explain the situation but she denied it saying she was there. I'm like... this is SILLY.. we're arguing over something so moronic! I always order this! I go through this drive-thru once a week and always on a Tuesday. Never have I purchased a spicy chicken and always get the tenders usually. So who cares that they don't' remember me... but it's just was absolutely stupid. She told me to bring in the receipt and I said, I'll bring it but it won't make a difference because I can already see that it's got the right price for a SPICY chicken vs the hand breaded tenders. She just kept denying it and basically she was telling me I was a liar. She then was like "Maybe you went to Jack-n-the-Box next door and you only thought you came here." The place was EMPTY, the drive thru had one car in it. Yet, the one employee up front couldn't even acknowledge me for 5 minutes. Then the supervisor steps out working on her schedule. I've been coming to this location for a long time. I am generally a fan of Carl's Jr. as opposed to other fast food places. I find their burger to be the best, especially this new All Natural burger, the patty is quite good for fast food, as is the bun, the swiss cheese, and the mushroom. Sometimes when Carl's introduces a new item, it takes a while for the chains to get consistent with it; that has never been a problem here. Service is fast and efficient. When I ask for a change on an item, such as a substitute type of cheese, I get it most times. It can be tricky if you need a customized item, the employees don't always catch this, so make sure you got what you want--if not, they are quick about fixing things. I have never received rude service here. Amanda was a great associate for several years but I have not seen her there in a while. Current management is adequate. This location also has a "Green Burrito", with some nice options that give Del Taco a whoopin'. Sorry Del, your beer battered fish tacos are OK, but Green Burrito is close to Baja Fresh for quality (though obviously not quite there), so there's no comparison--Carl's Jr. rolls right over ya'. As for Jack in the Box next door, sorry, I will go to Carl's perhaps 10 times in a given year, I might visit Jack once. Jack discontinued the only things I liked--Marinara Sauce as a condiment for my mozzarella sticks, and the deep-fried Mac'n'Cheese--so they can say goodbye to me as a customer. Plus Carl's makes hamburgers that actually taste like real food, not some frozen, trans-fat filled, pre-packaged garbage they shoved into a microwave for 30 seconds. Breakfast all day? Who cares, I want something that actually tastes good. For a quick bite and my money, you can't beat Carl's Jr. This is not health food, but comparing nutrition info you could do worse. At least the lettuce is real big leafy pieces, not that weird shredded stuff. The biggest factor is, as usual, salt. Make sure to drink plenty of water before your meal, and then have at it! It's cheap (two Westerns for five bucks, you can't beat it), it fills you up, and some of the new menu items--like that new hamburger bun they use for the 'six dollar burger' type items--these are really some gourmet additions for a restaurant like this, and so I'm glad CJ is stepping up their game in the wake of heavyweight newcomers like Hookburger and Umami (who wipe the floor with Carl's BTW, but you'll pay for it). There are, I believe, three Carl's in Simi--this one, the one on Erringer, and the one on Tapo Canyon. Their spacing in the valley is very well-distributed, so no matter where you are there is one close by. All three are similar, but this one is the one I prefer overall. They recently renovated its appearance too, which is a trend with fast food these days. It looks great inside and out. Keep up the good work Carl's. Every time I'm in there it's the same guy, Fabrizio, working drive thru and register and he is always very polite and very nice even when he's extremely busy like he was this morning. I have continually mixed experiences at this location (drive-thru). Recently I used a coupon for a combo, but upgraded my fries to zucchini. Apparently their register had problems with this, and ultimately I was handed a basic combo with fries instead of zucchini. Even if it turned out that the upgrade was not valid with the coupon -- I'm okay with that, but they tried to hide it and hope I didn't open the bag to discover fries instead of zucchini. After all, I was UPGRADING my order, so they should have been happy to accept more money from me. Not pleased. The coupon was for a free Famous Star with Cheese with a purchase of the same combo. The "free" Famous Star, however, was given to me without cheese. Just sloppy and poor service. Or perhaps they didn't like how I challenged the coupon. "Hehe we stiffed him on the cheese! We win!" Well, you lose a customer and money. So "Hehe I stiffed them on future business!" FYI... Wendy's is 50 feet away. read more

I visited this store, ordered 3 menu items, taco salad, burger, shake. I waited an exceptionally long time to receive my order and once I finally did I was handed a bag and sent on my way, never asked if I needed condiments and none were provided. Then I get home and discovered in lieu of napkins I was given brown paper towels reminiscent of what I'd see in your bathroom, and 2 knives but not 1 fork to eat my salad. For fast food, this particular drive through is great. Fast service, good food and it's hot when you get it. It doesent doesn't taste reheated. Fair portions for compared elsewhere. Many options to chose from are on the menu, not like you have to request like elsewhere.
