I decided to try Vapollo after driving by, and I'm so glad I did. Everything we ordered was incredible. The egg and cheese boat was absolutely divine. Fresh dough with cheese that complemented it perfectly. You can really taste the quality. They've been under new ownership for about four months, and it shows in the best way. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The owners are also so kind and hospitable, providing genuinely excellent service that made the whole experience even better. The ambiance was very nice also, small place but with a beautiful paneled wood and green design. We also tried the Armenian coffee, which was delicious. It was rich, smooth, and the perfect addition to brunch. My family and I had such a great experience, and we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. We ordered take out last night at the last minute we decided to try this restaurant. My wife had the beef Lula plate dinner, which was wasn't bad at all, and I decided to try the MEATtzza pizza. First the dough wasn't tasty nor did it have any MEAT it was like a paste with some type of sauce. Not sure what cheese was used either. Didn't enjoy the pizza at all. Now for the Ceaser Salad it was drowning in the dressing which I just couldn't enjoy it. The lettuce was so gross and soft due to the way they tossed it way to much with dressing. My first visit here. Picked up dinner and it was really really good. The owner, I believe was a sweet lady who was very proud of her business. It was so good that when I reached home and began my dinner I even called them and told them how wonderful it was. People always call complain. I want to take a moment and let them know how much I appreciate everything. This place is not fancy it is fairly priced and they appreciate the patronage we gave them. I've driven by a few times and saw my homeland's flag waving proudly and made a mental note to stop by. Finally got a chance to try them out and I was pleasantly surprised! The beef lula kabob and chicken breast kabob were perfectly flavored and juicy, and the rice was fluffy and delicious. We also tried the chicken shawarma that was also well- flavored. Arus (the owner) is so nice!!! This food is the best! We got the chicken schwarma wrap and the chicken breast plate. My wrap was so juicy, and tasted fresh! This place is incredible! Thankfully, it's very close to where we live so I'll be going here often. I was so surprised to see that they had a wrap inside of French bread. It was so delicious and crusty. It was basically like a Mediterranean calzone very delicious my husband also got a wrap and his was amazing. It was very saucy which I love the french fries were good. My toddler enjoyed eating a lot of it. He got his chicken. I got mine with pork. My pork was a little bit tough but at least I know it was fully cooked and everything was seasoned so well I have no idea how they made this delicious dish but I will 1000% be back. We picked it up very quickly and we took it to go so I can't speak to the dining experience, but I hope to go back and try it out. read more

This eclectic little cafe, tucked behind the 7 Eleven, is a gem in hidden Simi Valley! Arush (sp?) was both our server and chef. So we had to wait a bit for our meals to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. We ordered a variety of Armenian/ Russian dishes (chicken Lula, Russian salad, etc), and I ended with a delicious Armenian coffee and her homemade baklava. Having interacted with the owner a few minutes I became intrigued by the story and heritage and authenticity of the establishment. I returned the following evening & OMG this place did not disappoint! I had given up on finding a decent, fresh/clean ingredient restaurant in Simi Valley, I generally travel to the valley for decent food...I am so Happy i found this place it exceeded all expectations-Finally!
