It was a very generous portion, however I prefer a more traditional gravy with sausage. Individually, though the gravy was tasty and the biscuits were tasty since they were both made from scratch. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. We also ran out of clean glasses and had to request replacements from the front desk. The staff member's reaction when we asked for four glasses was less than welcoming. In addition, both trash cans were overflowing, and I even had to replace the toilet paper roll myself--something I've never had to do at a Marriott property. Overall, we paid over $500 for our two-night stay and felt that all we received was a bed and a set of towels. Even small touches, like complimentary water, were inconsistently offered to guests.

I don't know if it was the system or the attendant but this took way too long, regardless. Having two children who are exhausted and waiting for their bed wait that long was unacceptable. I worked at a hotel during college so I know what the standard is for most hotels. Then we got to our room and my son pulled back the sheets to find chips all over the place. This made me worry that someone else had been in this bed and it was not fully clean! At the rate we paid, this should not have happened. I would've been fired if a room had this much of a chip mess in the bed! There was also black hair in the bathroom. Just a really unclean hotel. It looks really nice from afar, and from all of the professional pictures that are featured on their website but it's not. I tried to reach out to management to see if there could be an explanation for this mess of a room, but all the manager did was say he was sorry. We will not be coming back.

So I wanted to go and try it for myself and support them. It's a cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a dog wall with all these photographs of adorable furry friends. They also have a bunch of merch to buy and support such as hats, hoodies, and bracelets. They have a huge list of food and drinks. They came up with super cute names for the drinks revolving dog breeds. I ordered a few drinks since it was my first time so I could sample and see what my favorite was. I ordered the golden retriever which was kind of like a caramel macchiato. I loved it! I also ordered the kibble cold brew with dark chocolate and coco puffs. This one sounded so fun and I loved the idea of it. I liked pretty sweet drinks so it wasn't my favorite. They were so kind and I switched it for a Labrador. Those two drinks the golden retriever and the Labrador were so delicious. These might be my go to drinks. But I might have to try some new flavors as well as they all sound so tempting and fun! I brought a few of my friends today so we could all try this new place and support. We all really enjoyed it and the mission. While we were there a bunch of teenagers came in to help put the labels on the cups. It was so nice seeing them enjoy themselves while working and helping out the coffee shop. We ordered the fish & chips, stinking fries, chicken Parmesan, and the Godfather sandwich, paired with a Cactus Cooler and a MadeWest Hazy IPA. Everything was excellent--from the crispy, flavorful fries to the perfectly cooked chicken Parmesan and hearty sandwich. You can tell they take pride in the quality and consistency of their food. What really stood out was the service. Anastasia was outstanding--she gave great recommendations, explained the local favorites, and made sure we had everything we needed. True 5-star service from start to finish. It's not easy to find a place that delivers both great food and great service, but Junkyard absolutely does.
