Love trying new places. This place came up on my radar so I had to give it a try. The young gentlemen who works the front of house is the owners son, and is very nice. First up ordered the Vegetarian pizza. Me and my daughter absolutely loved this. Would come back again for this any day of the week. Homemade pizza dough, cheese, green olives, thin sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, feta cheese and arugula. Simply delicious. Next up had the Pork Ikibir. To be honest this did not turn out the way I had imagined. Lots of pork pieces with a layer of fat and they are grilled over fire I believe so it was crispy, however I felt it was dry and tough. The spices used on the meat were nice and the homemade hummus was nice as well as the rice and charred tomatoes, and the potatoes were like roasted potatoes which were nice. We were visiting the area from out of state and looked at reviews for local restaurants with great ratings. We chose Vapollo and were not disappointed. They have a small dining area with just a couple tables, but it's clean and decorated nicely. The service was excellent. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. If we lived locally we would definitely return! Since we can't be regular supporters, we wanted to share our experience and encourage others to try this place. No doubt in my mind this is a 5 star place. If this was in LA this would be on the best of 101. The quality ingredients and the work that goes into the food really shows. We had the egg and cheese boat which left us speechless. Whatever that dough was it blew us away. We also got a pork shawarma wrap which was one of the most flavorful things I've ever had. Simi requires good restaurants. Vapollo fits into this category of good food in a hole-in-a-wall place. The owners, Vapollo, have created a menu that emphasizes Greek/Italian/Armenian cuisine. The food here is flavorful and priced well for the portions they serve. We have tried beef lulu, chicken breast, hummus, and tzatziki sauce. The freshness of the meat and herbs and the flavors are just amazing. The good ambiance, service, and friendly reception of the owners made the meal more enjoyable. I wanted to like this place so much. I tried it out with my kids tonight. We ordered the pizza, pasta with pesto and smash burger. It's a small space inside but they can move the tables together for a bigger party. There was one person working the front and once chef in the back, the front person said that he was the only person working so we tried to be understanding. He was very nice and kind. Our food took a little over an hour to come out and my son wasn't a fan of the pesto pasta. My smash burger was chewy and raw inside so I couldn't eat it, the chef said that's how it's supposed to be, I've had smash burgers before and I can't risk getting sick so he took it off my bill. We ended up just eating the pizza which was great. Maybe tonight was an off night and I wish them the best ! read more

Very high quality and authentic, not to mention delicious! The attention to detail in service and food preparation was evident as well as the pride in their establishment. This is our first time to Vapollo. This is where Guido's was previously located. The inside was remodeled and there is ample seating for dining in. The vibe is a relaxing and cozy. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the beef lula, chicken lula, and beef kabob. The food was made fresh and you could definitely tell. The plates come with assorted grilled vegetables, rice, and the meat. The presentation was beautiful. We all tried each other's food and could not decide which one was our favorite. We were so pleased with everything! The chefs trained in Greece and Italy and definitely know what they are doing. Next time, we will be trying the various pasta and pizza options they have. We are so happy there is a new resturant that is not a clone of all the others in Simi. This is a delicious family run resturant. read more
