Pretty good quality! steak and chicken $30, extremely reasonable. customer service 11/10. The front staff is amazing. Food is FRESH like the name.

6/12/2025 - I ordered three items via UberEats. I am impressed with the food quality. Both Boneless Chicken Kebab (Salad is fresh and hummus is smooth & tasty) and Baba Ganoush are excellent. Baklava is very good. I will order them again soon to share the photos. Note: This review is only for food only!

My wife and I decided to get some Mediterranean food the other night, so I remembered this place that was recommended to us at a Yelp event. They're located in the shopping center with Jack in the Box and Wingstop on De Soto and Vanowen in Canoga Park, CA. There's plenty of parking in the lot, so parking shouldn't be an issue. My wife and I both ordered the chicken kebab combo plate, which came with rice, salad, hummus, chicken kebab, and a few pitas. The meat was incredibly fresh, juicy, and flavored to perfection you really have to try it yourself to know what I mean. I substituted the salad for extra hummus since I can't have tomatoes, and we all know that. The service was amazing. The guy who took my order at the counter was super friendly and answered all of my questions about the food, as well as some questions I had about their catering menu. He truly went above and beyond to provide quality customer service, which is something most people appreciate and a big reason why many customers would come back again. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a Mediterranean restaurant, with pictures of the food they serve, including different kinds of meats. They also have a juicer in case you want freshly squeezed orange juice, along with several other options you can see in the photo I attached to this review. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try something new or if you're craving juicy, delicious meat as a combo plate or wrap. Give this place a try you won't regret it. I'll definitely be returning sometime soon when the mood strikes for good quality Mediterranean food nearby.

Kebab combination plate. Marinated ground chicken, shish kebab, marinated boneless chicken thigh, rice, salad, hummus, pita bread

Have ordered from here many times times now and worth every penny. I almost always get the kebab combination and it's always made fresh and it's so delicious. Not really a lot of room for sitting but I always order delivery so it doesn't bother me personally. I honestly couldn't soak more highly of this place. I like it more then most sit down restaurants that charge more for less.

Their food is good but the kitchen is a little slow. Their decoration is not like a good restaurant, but their price is like that.

Good to know for next time to check the back. Upon entering I didn't know what to expect, the restaurant is very clean and was empty at the time of arrival. They have a cute little bar and the staff is very friendly. Instead of ordering at the front, you can sit at your table and the server comes to you. Also, at the end I expected that they would automatically give us the bill, but actually you have to ask for it when you're ready. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma which arrived with rice, garlic sauce, and a fresh salad. I don't know if it's because I was starving, I had been running around all day and hadn't yet eaten a meal, but I was extremely impressed with the food. The chicken was hot and flavorful, I loved the garlic sauce, and the salad was literally fresh and light tasting. Some other people trickled in and then went outside and were playing games and smoking hookah. I don't know if it's standard for the hookah to be outside or not, but I thought that was nice that they did it that way. Overall I thought the food was excellent and I will definitely stop by again!

Scrolling through Yelp in Canoga Park thinking, "I want Mediterranean... specifically…read morePersian/Iranian?" Look no further. This spot is takeout only, hidden in what basically feels like a restaurant warehouse, and as you walk down to pick up your food you genuinely start wondering, "Where the hell am I?" Then the aroma hits and suddenly you're floating like a cartoon character following the smell trail. I got the beef koobideh and WOW! Perfectly seasoned, insanely flavorful, fluffy rice, and the shirazi salad absolutely slapped. All this for $15 in 2026 when gas is $6.30. And the service? So kind. The person I called taking my order was sweet, everyone at pickup was welcoming, and I swear someone's grandma was in the kitchen because the food tasted like a warm hug. I don't usually write reviews unless the food is genuinely special, and I definitely don't gatekeep good food. So if you're craving Persian food, place the order now.

The chicken koobideh was flavorful and juicy. In fact, it was the juiciest koobideh I've ever had. The price was very reasonable at only around $15 (a steal for LA!). What I appreciated the most is the kind service. I could tell there was a lot of positive energy there. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area. In the meantime, I'm wishing them all the best and much success. Shukriya and merci!

We decided to come back with friends but on a Wednesday night at 6:30 instead. Sat at a table in the area where the music was but it was very loud and tightly packed with tables and guests. I could barely hear my friends due to the loud conversations, loud laughter, and just the acoustic affects in the restaurant were bad from that. We ordered steak, sides, and thought baked potatoes but got mashed instead. After we ate dinner we asked the manager if we could seat outside for dessert instead due to the loud noises around us. He brought us there but we had to wait at the bar outside till we were seated took an additional 15-20 minutes. After seated it was better than inside with a nice decor too instead. Dessert was ok service good. For such a high-ended restaurant and pricy food it's only avarage, inside decor pretty but very and tightly packed with guests and loud especially for a week day night kind of unusual, I was disappointed think it's a bit overrated sorry to say. I think Flemings, Ruth Chris, or Morton's are better food wise for the same price and dining experience and not as loud too. Think what could make it better is to thin out the crowded packed affect in the main inside dining area would help a lot too, or, if we ever go back sit outside instead I recommend. The service and staff there were very nice, friendly, and attentive and worked hard during service though. So overall raiting is a 3. Tuesday music night inside was good though think because the band is set up where tables of guests would be so less talking and guests listening to the music instead. Hope they make some changes to there inside seating there for improvements will and could help overall.

PARKING valet is available, but we found street parking on ventura blvd. FOOD 01. squash blossoms ($21 for 5 pc): 8.3/10 these were crispy and light, delightful to eat on their own without the tomato marinara sauce served on the side. casalena's squash blossoms had a strong, lovely hint of lemon that wasn't present in mother wolf's rendition. 02. chicken piccata ($29): 7.5/10 this main was served with a generous helping of potatoes mashed into a delicious velvet. 03. vodka lumaconi ($25): 9/10 this dish was the standout of the evening! the pasta shells were cooked al dente and coated in a slightly spicy, perfectly savory vodka sauce! casalena does not skimp on the sauce in any of their dishes! 04. tagliatelle ($29): 7/10 this pasta dish was not nearly as impressive. 05. tiramisu ($15): 7/10 since we mentioned the dinner was for a special occasion in our reservation, this dessert was served with a candle. while its presentation was lovely, its taste was underwhelming. the espresso was extremely subtle, and there was more madeline than mascarpone/cream. overall, our party of 4 was fully satiated after splitting 1 appetizer, 3 mains, and 1 dessert. service was lovely throughout! and as another yelpie mentioned in their review, their matchbook is very nice.

Natalie also noted the fact that one of our family member has a peanut and tree nut allergy. We love dining at restaurants that accommodate people with peanut and tree nut food allergies. We have added Lemon Zest to our favorite restaurant list as we know Lemon Zest caters to families with food allergies. We also have shared and told our family and friends about Lemon Zest. The portions of their meals are plentiful and more than enough. The kabobs chicken and beef were all so tender and flavorful. The chicken and beef were not overcooked. The basmati rice was also cooked perfectly. We can't wait to come back to Lemon Zest and try other food items on their menu.

OMG this is the best kebab I had in a good while!…read more Absolutely delicious- the seasoning is so good , the meat is tender and juicy. The bread is phenomenal, the hummus yammm Very nice clean and cozy place , beautiful windows and nice staff. However the only think was a bit leaking is service . While they were nice for the entire sitting they checked on us in the begging and in the end . We wanted more bread but no one would even come close to our side. However while we were still eating they started removing plates and brought us the check, pretty rude , given that we're still not done. The girl wanted us to pay immediately which was strange. The in 3 min the guy came and ask again if were ready . They made us feel rushed . I wouldn't mind another glass of wine and desert but we weren't really given a chance :( We had a reservation in advance and weren't just sitting, so the treatment was strange . But still the food was so good that I wouldn't mind another absolutely be back for more ! Maybe order to go next time lol

On May 9th, 2026, we made reservations for 24 people to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday…read more We have the following comments about the food and service we received from that evening. * They aligned tables for us to accommodate the reservations, but the tables were so close to each other that it was dangerous getting up from the seat to walk out. So many of our guests complained. * When we were making the reservation, the manager told us that one side occupied 20 people and they crammed 24. Even with 20, the table space was way to small and we felt like sardines. Our mom uses a wheelchair and we had to move her out of the way in order to get up from the table to use the restroom. * We requested a separate small table to place our cake. They complained that we were taking up to much space and that we would have to move the cake to the area where we were seated. They provided a cart they used in the kitchen that was too small to place the cake. We had to clear off space in front of my wife for the cake. It's awkward to talk with people with a giant cake in front of you. * They told us we have to cut the cake ourselves after been told that they charged 3.00/cake slice. I understand the extra charge, but then they got snotty about it and told us to cut it ourselves. * The slide show that was provided to us was so small on the tv and we could not even hear it. * They forgot the egg plant, pita breads, and entrée's. We had to pester them even to get our food. We only had a couple hours reserved and they took an hour to get us all the food. In the end we had 10 minutes to inhale cake before they came over and complained that we took to long. Really? I think they have it backwards. The only thing that took a long time was the restaurant staff. Many of the guest asked us if they were bringing any additional food out. * We informed them that we had not started to eat until an hour after the reservation. We wanted to get an hour extended but they said we had to leave at the reserved time. It gave us no time to talk to each other and the manager was getting aggravated. It was not a friendly atmosphere for the type of party the restaurant said we can have. I had to call Shirin in order to get an itemized receipt and that was a hassle as well. All the arrangements had been discussed and approved with the manager at this restaurant. You only turn 60 once and we were looking forward to celebrating my wife's birthday. We spend $1349.00 at the restaurant. The only reason we accepted this location was because they approved all of our decorations and seating. Clearly, this place cannot handle a party.
