This is such a tough review for me. PC's has always been that go to dive bar in Simi Valley. Finally decided to check out the renovation under new ownership. Definitely a lot of Pros and Cons for the new place. For the pros, it is so much cleaner!!! Let's be honest, before the floor and bathrooms were disgusting. The updated establishment is so much nicer and refreshing. The back area is also much improved and allows for more seating. Finally a lot of the random old decor is gone. Now for the cons. The food and drinks just aren't the same :( and to be honest, that's the main reason for coming here. Came on Taco Tuesday and sampled each. Chicken, carnitas and ground beef tacos. They are small street style tacos. Emphasize small because I inhaled them. I really miss the old tacos that happened to be more filling and cheaper. The meat now is also bland with little flavor. My wife had the PC's Cobb Salad which came out at first missing chicken. That was quickly remedied but was also not as filling as prior. Finally the service is okay. Still seems as if they are getting the hang of things but until they do this place will struggle. Let's be honest, Simi Valley residents have a certain expectation that I think this place is missing. Alcohol prices have drastically increased. My bill also came out inaccurate so had to rectify. Ps. It is no longer a Dallas Cowboys bar. It's a Raiders bar now :( We no longer have our hang out... Corri was nice overall and I wish her the best here. Hope my next visit will be better. read more

Old pcs was great. Sold the business and now its trash. They go through bartenders like toilet paper. Well toilet paper probably is a safer bet. Not friendly. Change bands and entertainment out at last minute so if your planning to go to an even call before because it probably changed. Management is a joke and their rules are not geared towards the customer. Have a special request for a drink or way its served or different glass good luck with that. Its clear why all the old patrons moved on to better bars. No longer has a cheers feeling where everyone knows your name. read more

Went here last month with some friends. When we went to leave the waitress couldn't find our tab. Eventually she just rang us up again. We l asked, "what happens if you find the open tab later that night?" and she assured us it would be fine. Well next day we have a double charge on our card with an added tip and everything. Paid more than double for some mediocre at best food and drinks. Wasn't a great vibe anyway, we had no desire to go back as it is. Will definitely not be coming back after this scam. read more

This place is awful! First of all. A strong sewage smell to the place. 2nd, my husband orders the rib eye steak, medium rare , only to get a thin milanesa piece of meat. He didn't want to complain, but I let the bartender know and she suddenly brought another piece, a little thicker and said it was for another customer but accommodated us. It was not a rib eye. I ordered the fish and chips. Fish was okay but fries were very cold. Before ordering I asked the bartender because I had seen an ad that when Dodgers are playing it's happy hour all night. I asked her for the happy hour menu for food, she said it would be automatically discounted. At the end of the night, we got our bill for four drinks, my husband's plate and mine for $75. It was not worth it and no discount was added. I asked her about our discount and she said it was only for the drinks and appetizers which she never mentioned. I would never go back to this place and don't recommend this place. This place is a slum. read more

Hello I visited this establishment this past saturday night for a very dear friends birthday party. The bar was packed when I entered around 8pm sat down with the party ordered some food and drinks Food took about 40 minutes however the food was good Experience was good up to that point great live music from a local cover band Then things changed I went up to the bar to order more drinks while I waited for what seemed like a while I noticed a bar tender who had previously been working behind the bar being asked to leave. This bartender is established in simi does a great job and then noticed two others replacing her behind the bar . Both seemed very new to the place I dont know about being new to bartending but definitely not equipped to be handling this heavy of a load on a saturday night. I also witnessed what I believe was either the manager or owner threaten the fired bar tender if she didn't leave the cops would be called this was done in front of customers it was awkward and wrong the same owner / manager im not sure was also assisting behind the bar wearing flip flops. Two large parties were happening there that night the party on the patio all of sudden disbursed very quickly stating as they walked out the door "we need to leave she is gonna call the cops" ive never seen such chaos and im gonna call the cops so much in one night, and lets be real this is simi valley. My last drink of the night I ordered a vodka cranberry, the pint size glass had maybe a shot of vodka and the rest pure cranberry barely any ice. The place is definitely cleaner and smells alot better since the renovations but when it smelled I never felt the way I did on saturday Professionalism does matter and humanity towards people supporting your business along with your staff read more

Bar Only: Came to PC's on a laid back Sunday evening after having dinner at another Simi Valley location. A member of our party wanted a snack, but we called before, and PC's closes its kitchen at 8pm on a Sunday. By Yelper Rob B.'s suggestion we went to PC's anyway for après dinner drinks. Only a few customers playing darts. Big TV screens featuring all sports programming. Full bar with hard liqour, beers, wines. Fairly large space with tables as well as tall chairs for sitting at the bar. Not quite a dive bar, and definitely not a high class lounge. For want of a better word, it's a comfortable neighborhood bar closer to the bar set in the old school Cheers TV program. Although it's not an Irish pub, PC's may be an ideal place to celebrate Saint Patrick day. Late 1960's & 70's music was playing, but mercifully it was background music so we didn't have to yell at each other to be heard. Supposedly there is Saturday live entertainment, Friday Karaokè night, and other entertainment occasionally on other nights. There is no hyper sophisticated mixology so don't expect macerated fruits, months long fermented infusions of liquors, nor esoteric liqueurs. We walked in and was immediately greeted by the friendly, moustached bartender. I don't know much about Bourbon, rye, or whiskey other than it translates directly from Celtic as "the water of life". So the bartender suggested Uncle Nearest, 1856 Premium Whiskey. Uncle Nearest is distilled in Tennessee and hand made. The aging in charred oak barrells adds caramel, oaky vanilla tones. Sense a bit of toasty cinnamon and bit syrupy sweetness. Also I sensed a soapy undertone. There's a peppery after taste and touch of heat since Uncle is 100 proof or 50% ethyl alcohol which gives Uncle a "kick". Even with all these complex big flavours bumping into each other, it must have been even wilder before it was filtered through maple wood charcoal. May not be totally my cup of tea, but glad I got to experience this U.S. made traditional "hooch". By the way, Nathan "Nearest" Green, who was a Black slave, was Jack Daniel's actual distilling mentor. Green perfected the Lincoln County Process of making whiskey which is characterised by dripping corn-rye whiskey through Sugar Maple charcoal for 14 days of filtering, then storing in American Oak. I'm impressed that PC's stocks such specialized Whiskey. Next time I may find they stock Hibiki Harmony, Fukano, Suntory Yamazaki or other smooth, silky Japanese whiskeys. Thanks to the moustached bartender for the kindly suggestion. PC's a nice, casual place to hang out. Next time, must try the food. read more

The food was good, the drinks were good, the owner is always super nice. But we went there last night to Karaoke and the guy that runs it lets his friends skip ahead of everybody else. I put in a second song and tipped him $5, and then sat there for a couple hours while his buddies that showed up over an hour after I put the song in got up there multiple times. Not enjoyable. Left without even getting to sing again after spending over $100 on food and drinks. Never again. read more

If you're looking for a small town pub vibe, this is a great spot. Everyone is friendly and Karaoke is constantly busy for some great entertainment. I went at about 10:30PM on a Friday and the kitchen was already closed, which is fair for a bar and grill. Drinks were reasonably priced, but snacks would have been nice. Management is completely unprofessional. The owner frequently gets drunk at the bar, pushes politics on patrons (always fun walking into a bar claiming to support the troops and our veterans just to have the owner tell you to vote for the people trying to take away their benefits), won't hire backup staff for her bartenders and relies on regular customers to bus tables while she, the owner, spends 5 minutes "washing" one glass. There WAS two redeeming qualities of the bar: the karaoke hosts and the bartenders, but now it's just the bartenders because the owner fired the karaoke team. Food is all frozen or prepackaged junk thrown in a deep fryer or on your plate, drinks are upcharged during events (the owner proudly boasts about this), on their busiest nights they have one employee with 75 people in the building and the owner is just drinking and not bothered by it. During live shows, they don't even bother clearing room for dancing so good luck not having your drink knocked off the table because the owner doesn't care as long as you give her money. They have literally gone through multiple cooks because the cooks aren't allowed to make anything fresh. I feel terrible for the staff because they deserve better than a dictator as a boss with zero idea on how a business should operate. If you HAVE to go, know that the bartenders will always treat you right (the absolute only reason this place isn't getting one star). read more

PC's has become an easy favorite! With several close friends, we recently celebrated my boyfriends birthday here.... All having a enjoyable night at PC's Bar & Grill. For what it is - a fast sports bar - I have no problem giving it 5 stars for the atmosphere and excellent service. The servers were upbeat and engaged, even though it was somewhat busy with people watching games & getting on stage to sing. It's always a craps-shoot for what kind a service you get at places like this, but we were happy. Special thanks to Jessica.... who's bright personality was even more radiant then her external self... The atmosphere Sherry (Owner) has created is what I liked most about PC's Bar & Grill. It was engaging, and you could tell from the various types of people that everyone is welcome here. You can sit either inside or outside. There are TVs everywhere, so you don't have to crane your neck much to watch a few games. Good location, easy parking. Overall, we had a great time there and I would recommend it to friends looking for a good-service sports bar with some flair. read more

I think they are closed again for dine in (thank God) but when we went there recently, they were not encouraging or enforcing masks or social distancing. We turned around and left. Restaurants have an obligation to do the best they can for their patrons. What others rules and requirements are out the window? Do they forego washing hands after using the restroom? Do they do they just wipe the silverware clean on their shirts instead of sanitizing? Don't know, didn't stay to find out. Having lived in Simi for 2 years, I'd been in PC's on a few occasions but only for a beer or two. I'd heard from friends how good the food was, but never managed to get together with them to grab a bite. That ended this past weekend and I wish I had done so sooner! I went Friday night for dinner and had the fish & fries, along with fried mushrooms as an appetizer. The fish was nicely cooked, but as someone else noted, its a bit heavy. But the portion was HUGE. The mushrooms were also cooked perfectly. My mother got me started on those eons ago in Chicago and in 10 years in CA I have never seen them on a restaurant's menu. This won't be the last time I order them! Neil was bar tending and I put him through some paces. I couldn't decide what I had a taste for and changed drinks several times. Even when I had him make a "Grasshopper" he didn't flinch and made an excellent libation! His Sloe Comfortable Screws were tasty and packed a pretty good punch as well! On Sunday I opted to drop in for breakfast. I had heard nothing but rave reviews over Leonard's cooking and finally had a chance to go when he was there. Like the fish on Friday night, the skillet breakfast was a fairly large portion. Made with bacon, sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, country gravy and cheese, it filled me up and kept me satisfied most of the day. Add to that a couple of $3 Bloody Marys and it was the perfect way to start off an otherwise dreary, overcast day. Now having only been there on a few brief occasions, I certainly wasn't expecting a Norm Peterson "Cheers" sort of welcome. But even though I was far from a regular, Sherry, Mary and Neil were all very warm and welcoming. It felt as though I'd been going there for years and my business and needs were just as important as those customers who have been. I'm looking forward to my next PC's adventure! read more

So a friend invited us to this place and we drove from Burbank to Simi valley to get there. Looks can be deceiving but what you get inside is real. We were greeted by the sweetest girl EVEEEER. Her name is Jessica. She was funny, sweet and she got everything done. And dont get me started on her voice. when she started singing karaoke, my jaw dropped. Gorgeous girl, beautiful voice and her service was amazing. the place is not Hollywood glamor if thats whats ur looking for, but if you're looking for real american bar , where they serve bugers the way its supposed to be served, then you're in the right spot.
