I hosted my birthday last year there and it was fine but they are just not great with communication in general it seems. While my party date was still a month out, I had to find a place for a confirmed 20-person party near to Dave & Buster's since we were going there after. I also did not want to pay hundreds of dollars just to reserve a table or two. One brewery I called suggested I ask Sunset Terrace, which I did. Tyrone the owner answered and I was able to secure an area in the restaurant for my party, no charge. Tyrone called me about a week before my party to check in and confirm the details of my party. On the day of my party was the first time I ever went to this restaurant so I was a little nervous but it was great. They put up birthday decorations in our couch area which was soooo nice of them! There were several TVs around playing different games and they let us change a TV in our lounge area to golf. Helena was our server and she was SO amazing, we loved her so much! She was so sweet to separate our checks, remembered our names, and checked in on us frequently. I'm sure it was a lot to handle but she made it look easy. The soft pretzel was good, my boyfriend got the Terrance burger which he demolished, my friends seemed to like their dishes overall too (ceasar salad, fish & chips, pizza, etc.). The hummus plate was okay - the veggies weren't super cold and crisp but the tomatoes were so good. They charge a cake cutting fee if you want to bring a cake because they provide utensils and stuff but we didn't end up bringing a cake. Helena brought out a small dessert with a candle for me which was so nice. My friends and I had a great time, will definitely come here to host a party again! Feels like a definite dive bar with lots of locals, but nobody has any kind of attitude and you will not feel unwelcome here. I love slipping into Oak & Iron for a quick drink, and one of the best parts is that you can bring over tacos from Bad Ass Tacos--or really whatever you're eating--and enjoy them with your drink. They don't mind at all. On certain nights, they also serve some seriously high-end BBQ that's definitely worth checking out. The vibe is calm, cool and just a little speakeasy-ish. It's the kind of place where you can actually relax and have a conversation without screaming across the table. They also have a really fun trivia night, and the staff has always been attentive, friendly and completely chill. Bring a friend. Bring a group. Have some food and a couple of drinks. Well it's a very local bar in Simi Valley that only offers beer and wine for alcohol drinks. Do not expect to get a fancy cocktail here! They do have a wide selection that includes seltzers and cider. And on Thursday it's thirsty Thursday meaning you can score deals on select drinks! Like 2.50 for select beers. Doing a review on a bowling alley has so many different amenities pertaining to this type of…read morebusiness I'm gonna do this review a little bit different based on the area that I was seated and the location which was in their bar in the middle of the bowling alley. As I entered into the bowling alley, it'd be my first time there I wasn't sure exactly where the bar was located so I came in through the front entrance, which was the main entrance. And as I walked in the first thing that I saw to the left side was a facility called rock 'n' roll pizza so apparently this is the food that this bowling alley has to offer, which is all basically bar food and with the exception of making pizzas. I'm a real stickler when it comes to cleaning this this establishment rock 'n' roll pizza really needs some really deep cleaning especially everywhere throughout that front kitchen area where it's visible for everyone to see at that walks by. And also the appearance of the employee should all maintain a certain type of uniform and not all wearing different pieces of garment. All employees with no exceptions should all be wearing hair, nets, and or hats to cover their hair particles from falling into any of food preparation none of the employees whatsoever we're wearing any hat, nets or hats. This was a big concern for me. Food handling, and food safety is very imperative.. Not sure who the manager was at this location no name tags on the employee so really couldn't identify who they were. There was two female females and a male the mail was making pizza.. So bottom line the review is basically on the rock 'n' roll pizza bar area. It really needs to look be looked at. I will be there again in amend this review for the whole bowling alley.
