Come in for a great beer and some pool. Old school charm and has been here for years.

This place is dope. Came in today trying to find somewhere cool to have some drinks for my boyfriends birthday. Pizza, thai, and a deli next door you can order and eat while you chill. The bartender was a really nice guy was very attentive. Definitely going to be coming back and trying the other place he suggested JJ Sullivans.

    Booyah Thursday I'm drunk

$5 dollar Guinness. I could end my review there, but I'll continue to talk about how awesome this place is. Music, amazing. As a former hipster it is hard to admit this but I had to Shazaam some classic funk from the 70's that I had never heard but was vibing, Bowie, Ramones, MGMT, Sublime, and the Clash, the music was dank. 7 dollar 22 oz fat tire, 15 dollar pitchers, and free darts, what more could you ask for. I hate to say this, my only problem with this bar is the Valley local riff raff that try to hustle you on the pool table or clown your dart game. The girls there are also usually... I hate to say this, fat. I'm sorry, tie me to a stake. But it's because fat chicks like beer and are usually down to earth, so there, maybe it's a good sign. Come with friends, leave drunk and happy. Parking is out back, don't get sketched out by the locals, they've never bothered me too much. Oh yea, if you're a smoker there's a drink slot on the door so you can basically take your drink out as far as the door and not leave it at the bar.

About a year ago, we were asked to leave, and when we recently returned, we were once again told to leave the premises. The whole situation was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and honestly very frustrating. We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived, and it left a really bad impression. No customer should feel that way when visiting a restaurant. Based on our experience, I can't recommend this place. There are plenty of restaurants that make guests feel respected and appreciated, and sadly this was not one of them.

Just a short review, because people are going to start to think I work for the place. I assure you…read moreI do not -- it's just that I've lately discovered some menu items I haven't had before, and each one is making an impression. The latest newbie, for me, is the Chicago Dog. This version is a quarter-pound beef Frank, split and grilled to a nice char, topped with the appropriate suspects: mustard, relish, pickles, onions and sport peppers. I deleted the tomatoes and added extra peppers. Served on a hearty roll rather than a bun, this is much more of a meal than a snack, with loads of flavor coming from very fresh ingredients, and a pleasing punch coming from the peppers. Even if you keep the tomato on yours, definitely add extra peppers. The dog comes à la carte, but I added a side of their scratch-made onion rings, and they did not disappoint. Thinly sliced onions are dipped in a frothy beer batter and lightly fried, rendering them crispy, sweet and very tasty without being greasy or heavy. Perfect for dipping in any number of sauces, though they serve a side of ranch by default. Chris was tending bar, and took good care of me despite the place being very crowded for trivia night. Good energy from a good crowd, as always, and one of the best Chicago Dogs I've had in SoCal.

Now onto something positive: The service here is always great. The girls here are so friendly and the food is delicious. Pot pies, mini pies, and full English breakfast are all fantastic. Come here for a drink and really good pub food.

His management style seems to be "harass first, ask questions never," particularly toward patrons, and even his female staff who unfortunately have to endure his presence. The food? I've had more satisfying meals from vending machines. My dish looked so sad I almost offered it therapy. The poor soul who microwaves the food in the back appears to believe "seasoning" is just a suggestion, and "fresh ingredients" are things they've heard about but never actually seen. The atmosphere? Imagine a DMV waiting room had a baby with a public restroom in a truck stop. You'll find the same delightful mix of desperation and questionable life choices that makes you question your own judgment for walking through the door. Save yourself the trauma and money. HQ down the street has better ambiance, and Pickwicks actually understands the concept of "clean." Trust me, your wallet and self-respect will thank you for going literally anywhere else.
