Awaiting Tues King Trivia night!
Cynthia C.

We always feel welcome and have a great evening at Lane 33 B&G. We haven't been to Winnetka Bowl, just this bar located within. We come for Tuesday night Trivia with generous gift certificates up as weekly prizes - so fun! Drinks are REALLY GOOD, and fairly priced. Want a delicious, crafter cocktail in LA County without the $15-$20 price, come to Lane 33 and let Anthony, Rio and the rest of the bar staff care for you. Just want a cold beer at a fair price? It's a bowling alley bar, they gotcha, friend! Bar bites consist of 1/4lb hot dogs, polish sausages, a delicious corn dog reminiscent of my childhood(not overcooked like the "on the stick" place), personal pizza and bags o' chips. If you're looking for more of a meal, food service is available through the bar from The Village Cafe, adjacent to the bar and bowling alley. The Village Cafe is a separate business, so the bill is separate from Lane 33 B&G, but everyone works together to make sure patrons are happy with whatever meal options they choose. Food from The Village Cafe is very good and portions are generous. But back to Lane 33 B&G.... While feeling like a neighborhood bar that understands how to make a cocktail, L33 also has lots to offer in terms of amusement: in addition to the aforementioned trivia Tuesday nights, they also have Karaoke, video and pinball games, a pool table and, of course, bowling. Bathrooms are kept clean and are neutral use. Staff checks Covid vaccine status if they don't recognize you, and gives you a wristband so coworkers know you've been vetted. Parking is free and plentiful and we've noticed a security guard walking the area every time we've gone. L33 quickly became a regular venue for us from the first visit because it's fun, friendly, clean, safe and serves delicious, solid food and drinks.

Good place for local divey fun! I used to go here when I was younger. Before they renovated the place. They did a good job with the renovation while keeping the casual vibe. They didn't make it upscale or high-end. It has a good balance between being family friendly and for grown ups. So what's inside: A bar, pool tables, arcade, bowling, connected cafe, and a bar. Food: It's alright. Your typical bowling alley menu but it does the job! Bowling: Good stuff. Clean depending on the time of day. They allow reserving lanes for parties. Some seating by your lane... not enough though. There's also seating with tables on the step up prior to entering the lanes. Arcade: Fun stuff in here.. but it's not very big. Bar: It does the job. Order a few drinks, play pool, and hangout with the homies. There's also karaoke and that's always fun! Staff: Helpful. Friendly, no complaints here. Parking: Huge lot! Shared with the cafe and the motel. They're all connected anyway. Restroom: Considering it's a single restroom and it would receive high traffic, IT IS CLEAN!(one for male and one for female. No stalls inside) Keep an eye out for great Groupon deals! Overall, I'm glad this place is still here. It's definitely a valley landmark. More places like this provide a fun place for all sorts of ages.

The sushi options were great. They also have daily happy hour from 3-6, even on the weekends. I had the banana bread old fashion and was surprisingly pretty good. The tuna crispy bread was really good, good portion. The cauliflower was also good, definitely had. A kick but for someone that doesn't do spice very tolerable. The sushi burrito was also good but fell apart at the end. Staff was great, and the bathroom was also pretty good, 3 stalls for women. Parking was $7.50 which was a bit wild. I wouldn't park i come and park in the garage

So this review comes from a place of deep affection and mild geometric confusion. We ordered the Short Rib Quesadilla. Now, in my years of quesadilla consumption, I've come to expect a certain... wholeness. A roundness. A circle, if you will. What arrived at the table was a quesadilla that had apparently gone through some kind of culinary origami -- folded in half, then cut in half -- leaving me with what I can only describe as a quarter moon of disappointment. I'm not a mathematician, but I do know that a full tortilla divided by two, divided by two again, is not a full quesadilla. It is, however, apparently a full-priced one. My waitress -- bless her -- had no answer when I raised the issue. And honestly, what could she say? This is clearly a management philosophy I simply wasn't briefed on before ordering. To the kitchen: customers generally enjoy receiving the entire quesadilla. Just a heads up. And to management: if those are just the natural dimensions of your tortillas, I have one genuine request -- please tell me where you're buying them, because I'd love to serve "half portions" at home and see how that goes over. Will I be back? Absolutely. Will I order the quesadilla again? Not a chance. Not even half a chance.

We arrived at 7pm, and the place was still buzzing from Happy Hour. Lots of people drinking, eating and chatting while basketball played on the TV's they've got placed strategically around the pub -- no matter where you're sitting you can see the game. Our server, Natalia, was very friendly and took great care of us. My wife wanted a simple cheeseburger, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare as requested. We hadn't been here in a while, and she admitted she'd forgotten just how good the burgers are ("much better than the other pubs around," she said). I ordered the Banger Bites: slices of English sausages served with brown gravy that I augmented with Coleman's hot English mustard and some HP sauce. The bangers were crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a mild flavor accented by Earthy herbs. Toss in some whiskey, and we were off to the races. While we kept things simple this time (we HAD eaten popcorn at our movie), the menu boasts a wide variety of options, from burgers and sandwiches to pub faves like fish & chips, shepherd's pie, bangers & mash, Scotch eggs and so on; plus an assortment of starters that go well with games and beer (wings, nachos, sausage rolls, salads and a fantastic, house-made chili). Lots of bars and pubs in Woodland Hills have come and gone, but Pickwick has remained solidly planted, the reason being they offer great food and even greater people to enjoy it with. Go!!

It's the kind of place where regulars know each other and you can catch a big game with loud, passionate sport loving folks. There's SO many TVs that I've lost count and a giant projector screen. Did I mention it's a British pub, but a die-hard packers bar?! Pickwick's has easily become our favorite bar, so much so that my husband and I will drive 40 minutes (from Ventura) to watch a game here! The food is solid and affordable across the board. Breakfast hits, burgers are always a safe bet, chili fries are a must, and the nachos are definitely worth ordering. They also have some (authentic?) British food... that I've only tried a few of. Bangers and mash is good, I can't say much about the rest. Drinks are great too, with a nice selection including a few British beers on tap, but we always go for a good ole Guinness (or several). What really seals the deal here is the service. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, always checking in without being overbearing. Shoutout to Natalia and Kim, absolute gems who make the place feel like home. If you're looking for a cozy, authentic neighborhood pub with good food, good drinks, and even better people, Pickwick Pub is it. A true happy place :) Go pack go!

They were playing great music, they have a pool table and they open up the front so you can see the interior of the bar from the sidewalk. The bartender knows how to make drinks!!! They were good. We ordered tater tots and the dipping sauces that came with it one being ketchup and the other one I am not sure what it was but it was great. I'm impressed with the bartender, there was a group of 7 people and they were getting hammered! LOL They had just done a round of shots and they were drinking something else. The bartender cut them off. I've never seen that before but I respect that. Good job for caring about them and not what they are spending on drinks. I'm def going back again!!! Cheers
