an awesome spot to hang out with friends and your dogs after work, with a huge selection of brews. the open-air is also really nice when the large store shutter is pulled up. service for drinks is quick and polite. food comes from the restaurant next door and the wait is reasonable. i recommend the 'bbq pulled pork fries' and the ciders to all the friends i bring here. parking is the only thing that docks this place a point for me personally. it is one-way, pretty narrow, and has always been full whenever i arrive. alternatives are residential and street parking. read more

It's the perfect place to watch sports and has a warehouse vibe. We went at night and they had the side doors open which was really nice. They're partnered with Osborne next door so we ordered the Bavarian pretzel. For drinks we got a michelada with the machete (Mexican lager) and a blue dream hazy IPA. Love coming to 818 brewery since it's my local brewery located 3 miles from my house..they have a variety of beers to choose from..my favorite is De Soto pilsner since it has a nice crisp taste with a little bite to it..the ambiance is super chill even when there isn't a soccer game on..the service is quick to get a beer and relax..they don't sell food here but I believe you can order pizza from the business next door and eat it while having a beer. read more

A great bar that's kind of in the middle of nowhere in the Valley but, a nice quick walk or even bike ride off the Canoga path in Canoga Park/Chatsworth. You order at the bar for beer, not the tables. People usually form a line. The beers are their own, original and delicious - pretty rare, usually it's original but not great, or delicious but you've had it 100 times. They manage to hit the mark on both - like their Krampus was just a great winter beer. The pizza is a little confusing at first as you order via webpage/QR at your table, not the bar, and it's brought to you from next door. Typical personal pan size feeds one or two, good flavor reasonable prices. The trivia on Mondays is more entertaining than your average with some funny categories and changes in play style. I live in eastern Los Angeles County, but my work sometimes takes me into the western part of the San Fernando Valley. When I'm in the Canoga Park area, I always stop in at 8one8 Brewery. The vibe is ultra chill, and their beers are amazing. My favorite is the Cascade Ice, a cold IPA, and I recently tried the award winning Matador Red, which is also outstanding. I like how you can order pizza from Osbourne Pizza next door and have it delivered to the brewery. By the way, the pizza is excellent. The folks in the Valley are lucky to have such an awesome place in their neighborhood to have a few astounding beers in a really cool place. read more

818 Brewery is quickly becoming a neighborhood spot where you can come and enjoy a great tasting beer, delicious food and a great place to hang either by yourself or with friends. The place itself offers plenty of seating, a few seats at the bar and a game room. Which is very welcomed. Their beers itself have become increasingly popular and it's one of the reasons why I come back. When my group ordered they asked if I had a tap open, my wife said yes, then the guy in a blue dodgers cap got super flustered when he couldn't find it, and instead of trying to figure out what happened he just got rude and very aggressive to the point where my wife no longer felt comfortable. I went up and asked if we are good and his response was very curt, he said no we are not good. I told him well you have my card (cause duh i started a tab) so how can we resolve this. Great beer. Good IPAs. Food was good as well. We came here after a long week at work and as a first time patron, I was happy. It was busy but not uncomfortably crowded. They had many many TVs and were playing all sorts of sports games. Viewing any TV was easy from any seat in the house.The service was nice. They were able to make solid recommendations. One of the better valley breweries. And they're advertised as a Dodgers bar, which is great because it's guaranteed to be a place to watch their games! They partner with the pizzeria next door - but I think about half of their menu? Honestly, just order the soft pretzel or maybe a basic pizza and you'll at least be okay. Service is like most breweries: order at the register and they'll pour your drink right away. There's nightly entertainment of some sort. Decent amount of seating at bar height or sit down levels. Went in for BYOV "bring your own vinyl" and was told that an entire 2 hour time slot was filled.... Mind you, I called prior to driving 30 minutes and specifically asked all the questions I could think of Do you still have bring your own vinyl night? Is there a theme for tonight? Is there a stack of 300 vinyls waiting to be played? Full sides or only singles? Representative on the phone.. "let me speak to the organizer" - 3 minute hold It's pretty slow right now and the guy said that you can bring full albums or individual songs. You give them the record and they will play a song or two off the album. Then mix it in with other songs they play. Fast forward to a 30 minute drive and packing my vinyls.... 2 other people with vinyl, minus the dj.... "hey, do you know how this works. I brought 10 or so singles because I wasn't sure of the vibe." Patron with stack of vinyl as well as another patron "it's an open format" other patron "you might wanna go talk to that guy" Guy with bleached hair pulled back into a ponytail says "the entire night is booked" Seeing that there is only 2 other people with vinyl I asked him "you are only going to split the next two hours between three people's requests?" He "blatantly" lied and told me they were DJ'S not knowing that I had spoken to them previously. He went in to tell me that this was a DJ night and said he was taking over for two weeks. After I was visibly upset and left to close out my tab, he followed me to the bar to apologize and asked me to follow the original guy that runs it as well as him. While I am sure he is a nice guy, he literally put his boys on for the night. I told him that he really needs to communicate better with the staff about the format, but that doesn't make sense, because I was put on hold in order for the bartender to ask specific questions about the format. Unless she blatantly lied to me and didnt actually ask.... Therefore, both the organizer of the event and the staff deserve 1 star at most. read more

I cant believe i haven't reviewed this before. This is hands down my favorite brewery! Whenever it's up to me to make plans I suggest coming here. They have a huge beer list as well as some seltzers. So no matter what you like to drink chances are that there will be something you like. They have tons of events throughout the year. During the week they also have trivia nights, game nights, live music, and other stuff I can't remember right now. You can also order food from the neighboring restaurant. Beer fix check.... Pizza? Hit or miss, frankly I've never really had an issue with their pizza or food in general up until last Sunday. Came in with the family, yes, kids and all!!! Place is welcoming families and it's great, they have an array of board games and it's entertaining for the kids and adults can have a great time together. We ordered the mushroom pizza since my husband is a of the white sauce, added chicken and onions and frankly it was mediocre not its finest! Osborne usually has the best food but I should've gone with the pulled pork pizza instead... anyway we also had mozzarella sticks which were great! Caesar salad not great, too dry not salty enough idk it was off I think the lemon pepper wings were better than the buffalo wings.... Love love love how comfy and fun this place is. Each night is a new event or activity. There's trivia at 7pm on Monday, bike rides on Tuesday (May be over now), and bingo at 7pm on Wednesday! There's food courtesy of next door, which they now also manage. Pizza, hot dogs, fries, etc. Prizes are okay for the quality. There's quite a lot of space inside, but parking can be a pain. This is a beloved bar with great service and friendly people - the price to pay for that is a few extra minutes to look for parking in the area. read more

4++ friendly beertenders with a pretty great lineup on the menu. This place had also a fun and lively vibe. We did come while there was a special guest from a beer podcast or something so maybe that might have had something to do with it. But it was pretty full on a Saturday afternoon. I was in the neighborhood so I visited a friend who lived in the area. He's been meaning to go here for a while. He knows I'm into craft beer so it was perfect. There's plenty of street parking nearby but this place is located in this long row style strip mall. It's got a cool front patio area as well as kind of a seating area that leads towards the back room of sorts. I ended up getting a small lineup of their stouts on tap and really enjoyed their BA vanilla stout. I also got a pour of their hazy IPA, which was also pretty darn tasty.
