This place was great until the very end of the night. Our group tipped generously throughout the evening, but when we didn't add an additional tip at closing, the bartender made an extremely inappropriate comment out loud toward our table, saying "thank you so much, d***k head." This was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable--especially said loudly in front of other customers. Regardless of tipping expectations, no bartender (manager or owner included) should ever speak to guests that way. It created an uncomfortable scene and ruined what had otherwise been a good experience. With behavior like this, it's no surprise the bar was slow. They had some cool music playing and also have a jukebox that you can request songs on. They have a good selection of beers on tap so I'm sure you'll be able to find something you'll like. Love this dive bar! Taps are always rotating. Enjoyed the craft beers and the reasonable prices. Came in this past thursday. This is my brother, Marvin's favorite spot. Service here is 100% awesome. Marcy was our bartender and she was really cool. She offered us samples of some of the beers on tap. I really liked that she did that. My choice for the night: the kinetic potential blonde. While i was here, I also put in a phone order for tacos from Tacos Reyes, which is next door. Tacos Reyes delivered the tacos and the owners at Instant let us eat them at the bar. Fun local dive bar with good (and loud) music, local sporting events on the TVs, friendly bartenders, and super interesting people watching! This place is pretty small, but we've always been able to find a spot to sit down on a Friday or Saturday night. It might be more difficult with a large group, though. Shout out to bartender Eric for being awesome! There's no food here, but Tacos Reyes is right next door and they will deliver your tacos to you in the bar! IR is definitely a place to check out for a couple drinks and a casual hangout spot. read more

It's just a typical little dive- nothing special. It's cool that there are tacos outside and the prices are decent, and I see that they give free popcorn. Woohoo! Unless you're with a group I don't know what else there is. I'm not saying I wont come back, but if I do it will be with great reluctance due to a friend begging me to do so. The bartenders are extremely friendly and cordial and you don't find that in most establishments hence the +1 star. Well, since I hit my 100th check in on this past Saint Patrick's Day, time for a third year, annual update. While this is a Full bar, it is to me, The Best Craft beer bar on the west side of the San Fernando Valley, 3 years running, in my humble opinion. Just the right amount of space, not too big, and not too small. 10 rotating craft beer taps, including some sours, such as Petrus Pale, stouts such as Parabola, Old Viscosity, barley wines, Sucaba/Abacus, Double IPA's, Lagunitas Sucks Brown Ales, Board Room, Nautical Nut Brown, India Pale Ales's, Double IPA's, Hefenweizen's, Firestone Walker, and so on. They have a solid range to chose from, and if craft on draft is not your thing, they have Macro beer bottles too (bud, Heineken, Guinness, etc. Just to name a few, (all of the taps rotate) PLUS, they have a cask engine! The latest Cask, Ballast Point Victory at Sea with vanilla beans! Fantastic. When I come to instant I think of value! I came being able to speak, my verbiage was on point, I could say sentences and speak words. Then, then came Eric.... and then my memory went in to a flow of memories, of nostalgia and love to the sounds of Cher and Drake (idk why everyone plays him so much). Equally as much forgetfulness came and the last thing I remembered was laughter, shots with friends, good memories and the taste of hops. I'm almost afraid to tell you, dear internets, how much I love this new little bar!! For years my West Valley friends and I have been lamenting the craptacular assortment of drinking establishments in their vicinity. We'd finally decided that Casey's Tavern was just about the best choice for us, despite the fact that it can get a little noisy. Then, someone found Instant Replay! Apparently some of the guys who worked for years at TGI Friday's down the street have banded together and bought a bar. I LOVE IT. I love the idea that they're stickin it to that big evil corporation by giving us a better spot to hang out in!! There's a lot of space to sit, drinks are STRONG and CHEAP, and there were a ton of specials. At some point I ended up drinking a $3 cosmopolitan just because! So, I'm a little cautious about telling y'alls about this place because I'd hate for it to blow up too much, thereby wrecking the casual, no-frills, no-pretense nature of the bar. Top three favorite points of the night, after cheap, strong drinks and how easy it was to hang out and talk, is the fact that Taco Reyes has a catering truck open after hours behind the bar, so when you're completely drunk from drinking $3 cosmos, you can order a little plate of gorgeous tacos to sop up all the vodka.
