Usually a very cool vibe and friendly place. Drinks well served. But today the owner refused to put on World Cup Soccer game. I was offended and felt discriminated against as well as others who were at the bar waiting to watch the game. Many walked out, the bar was less crowded as it usually had a full seating at the bar. I with my party walked out as well. Don't think I will be back and will surely spread the word of racism! read more

They had some cool music playing and also have a jukebox that you can request songs on. They have a good selection of beers on tap so I'm sure you'll be able to find something you'll like. This place was great until the very end of the night. Our group tipped generously throughout the evening, but when we didn't add an additional tip at closing, the bartender made an extremely inappropriate comment out loud toward our table, saying "thank you so much, d***k head." This was humiliating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable--especially said loudly in front of other customers. Regardless of tipping expectations, no bartender (manager or owner included) should ever speak to guests that way. It created an uncomfortable scene and ruined what had otherwise been a good experience. With behavior like this, it's no surprise the bar was slow. That kind of treatment will absolutely drive customers away. read more

Jimmy the bartender the guy with a twitch needs to reevaluate the cost benefit analysis of over serving his guests. I understand the bar is slow and you need to sell as much alcohol as possible, but at least let the guest sober up before you kick him out into the street afterwards. Witnessed this the other night. Stopped by on a Tuesday night. It was pretty empty when we walked in. The music was good. The service was quick. They don't have food there BUT there is a taco place literally next door. Love this dive bar! Taps are always rotating. Enjoyed the craft beers and the reasonable prices. Came in this past thursday. This is my brother, Marvin's favorite spot. Service here is 100% awesome. Marcy was our bartender and she was really cool. She offered us samples of some of the beers on tap. I really liked that she did that. My choice for the night: the kinetic potential blonde. While i was here, I also put in a phone order for tacos from Tacos Reyes, which is next door. Tacos Reyes delivered the tacos and the owners at Instant let us eat them at the bar. Fun local dive bar with good (and loud) music, local sporting events on the TVs, friendly bartenders, and super interesting people watching! This place is pretty small, but we've always been able to find a spot to sit down on a Friday or Saturday night. It might be more difficult with a large group, though. Shout out to bartender Eric for being awesome! There's no food here, but Tacos Reyes is right next door and they will deliver your tacos to you in the bar! A typical dive bar with eclectic decor, good seating, low prices, and a great beer selection. This was a solid date choice. I love that they do happy hour everyday. I love good craft beers and good prices. Really difficult to get that here in the valley. Having said that, this place is heaven. Always bad ass pints of beers for 4-5$. Classic IPA's such as Racer 5 and Stone IPA. What makes this place special is that they also get in rare beers such as Stone Enjoy By and other limited release beers. It's just a typical little dive- nothing special. It's cool that there are tacos outside and the prices are decent, and I see that they give free popcorn. Woohoo! Unless you're with a group I don't know what else there is. I'm not saying I wont come back, but if I do it will be with great reluctance due to a friend begging me to do so. It's the kind of place you wont enjoy unless you are completely wasted because it has a very depressing and dark feel. The bartenders are extremely friendly and cordial and you don't find that in most establishments hence the +1 star. I can see why a lot of people do like it here- it's slow and relaxed and it's where you can take a load off (no that's not what she said!). Not my cup of tea. I like energy. Atmosphere is everything. I could just turn off my lights and drink here at home and not be bothered by lowlife crude potheads on the hunt for- a meaningless fun time with someone they're hoping can't see them well in the lighting. While this is a Full bar, it is to me, The Best Craft beer bar on the west side of the San Fernando Valley, 3 years running, in my humble opinion. Just the right amount of space, not too big, and not too small. 10 rotating craft beer taps, including some sours, such as Petrus Pale, stouts such as Parabola, Old Viscosity, barley wines, Sucaba/Abacus, Double IPA's, Lagunitas Sucks Brown Ales, Board Room, Nautical Nut Brown, India Pale Ales's, Double IPA's, Hefenweizen's, Firestone Walker, and so on. They have a solid range to chose from, and if craft on draft is not your thing, they have Macro beer bottles too (bud, Heineken, Guinness, etc. Just to name a few, (all of the taps rotate) PLUS, they have a cask engine! The latest Cask, Ballast Point Victory at Sea with vanilla beans! Fantastic.
