I don't know where to start, I love everything about shadow grove! Their small batch beers are some of the best I've had. My personal favorite is the witch hunt, a hazy IPA. The place is a great vibe. The decor is awesome with real branches everywhere. They have different food vendors and events almost everyday, which they post on their schedules on Instagram! Now the real reason I keep coming back; the AMAZING staff. Justin, Bobby, Adam, Michael, Gabby, Josh, Luis, Leo and Taylor. They are all such great people who really care about their job and customers. The whole staff is so professional and knowledgeable on their beers. Love this place!!! the vibes are super chill and the service is 10/10 always super friendly and helpful. I also love how they give u small testers to try out the beer before committing to a full cup. I ended up choosing the hard seltzer which was pretty refreshing and their witch hunt hazy IPA 10/10 I also came in today and noticed they had a live band performing tonight which was pretty cool! Shadow grove is our local brewery very close to home. They have like a very woodsy theme when you walk in, with logs, trees, a cute scenery inside. Love coming on Wednesdays as it is their retro game nights. They bring out all the retro game cube games, pokemon, Mario, they also have darts available & I believe trivia! The ambiance here is very cool, lots of people come here and meet up everyone is always friendly. Employees also are very kind. Great selection of drinks, ample amount of street parking, and in a neighborhood spot that seems hidden in plain sight from the alleyway. It was a pleasant surprise coming down here with colleagues for happy hour. Most of the seating areas were filling up around 5pm, so we were lucky to have found a few benches inside which was surprisingly well-ventilated. That said, outside there was more energy with the Dodgers game playing on TV and the smells from the grill beckoning. The man behind the counter graciously took his time with each guest in line. I had the chance to taste the Ordinary Bitter, Summer Ale, and the Strong Ale before deciding on the Ordinary Bitter, a delightfully refreshing beer. While there we also spent some time throwing darts and shooting the breeze. Beyond this visit, I noticed plenty of scheduled events such as movie nights, trivia night, and even magic shows! Its funny how you haven't been somewhere in a while but all of a sudden your back again. Like not that long ago. Well, this place is pretty mellow and chill. Stopped off for a pint and to kill time before attending a party. It was pretty quiet inside as majority of the guest all was enjoying the outside and the back bar. Getting a drink was easy. I haven't tried majority of the beer but normally stick to the lightest or the hard seltzer which both are great. Last visit there was DJ on hand spinning music. This visit, there wasn't but later on in our stay we did notice some equipment being brought in. I assume it was happening later on. The vibe is always pretty nice and service was great. Cool crowd. Confirming a reservation was easy and great customer service through email, on the phone, and in person by bartenders. Will definitely come back again! Water, non alcoholic beer selection is small but it's there, sparking water, fruit drinks available as well. The space is available to all ages before 9pm. Came to check out Shadow Grove Brewing on a Monday evening to celebrate a friend's accomplishment and I loved the place! We parked in a lot nearby and walked over to the bar and upon entering everyone is really friendly and helpful especially helping us decide which beer we might like to choose, and we were not disappointed! I tried two different beers, The first was the "Margarita Gose" and it tastes really good, I loved the tail end taste of the Jalapenos dancing on my tongue the entire time. Second I had the "That which hides in the Haze" beer which was perfectly malty and fruity and dancing on my tongue. This is definitely a new favorite of mine! I didn't eat but I saw that they had a really good food vendor in the back named "Pete's Meats", my friend got a large Brisket Sandwich and I watched as that meat just melted apart as she took a bite. I don't know if they have the same vendors each day or if they rotate, but I definitely plan to go hungry next time to hopefully get to try them out! Can't wait to go again! read more

Came on a Saturday night during the Dodgers game and it was pretty chill (most of the Dodgers fans were outside on the patio). Cozy seating and really solid beer selection. Workers were very nice and service was fast. There's a small parking lot and street parking. Maybe a block away is a larger paid parking lot. Limited food options depending on the vendors they have for that day but they're cool with bringing in outside food. Also, under 21 are also welcome. It's like 365 Halloween vibe. So it was my birthday right...I had just finished coaching a baseball practice for my little league team. I wanted to get a good beer and found this place through a Yelp search. They took great care of me and even gave me a Birthday pin! There were tacos being made outside and a variety of other items with this food vendor. Everyone had great personalities and smiles. This brewery is always an awesome vibe! Dimmed lights and cute interior décor; it's giving "forest vibes" they also have outdoor seating/patio with comfy seats and tables with chairs. I arrived with a friend of mine, it was her first time being there. I was excited to bring her here since she is a beer drinker. It was such a hot day that all we were craving was a nice cold beer plus we were also celebrating ourselves for Nurses Week. Staff was very nice and helpful. Happy hour is offered late night to closing. They also have weekly events and I saw one for a "magic show" coming up. Aside from all these positive amenities, they also have food vendors that do 'pop-ups" and serve food. This past Saturday, the food vendor in place was " Pete's Meats" and the brisket sandwich that I purchased was delicious, juicy and layers of brisket meat melting as you bite down. I ordered two different types of beer: "That which hides in the haze" Hazy IPA at 7.2% my Favorite one of the evening: "A great balance of malt and hops with bursts of citrus and topical fruit from the Azacca, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and El Dorado hop additions." The second beer I ordered was a Spring Pale Ale "one flew over the shocos nest" 5.2% which was much lighter in taste compared to the Hazy IPA. In conclusion, my favorite still stands with "that which hides in the haze" IPA beer. I highly recommend this brewery for your next outing, gathering or a quick refresher. Plenty of street parking or public parking just walking distance away. It is in the heart of San Fernando and can easily get busy during peak hours. read more

Wanna give it a 5but it was my first visit. I can gladly say I will come here again. I had 3 flights, tasting everything they had. Red IPA, the cream ale, the cipher and Breaking Bread which is their Weisenbach, were all good pours. I do recommend to know what you like, because if you're NOT a beer drinker, the only other option is the seltzer which is the Biting Pixie devil. They have water and sodas just in case. If you like dark forest wood vibes and 2000's rock, emo and alt music then this is 100% your spot. I'd be here every other weekend if possible. Drinks here are good, it's a good place to sit down communicate with peers and have a good talk. I would recommend the Porter!! It smells amazing, it's smooth and you can taste the maple notes. The Belgian golden strong ale is a bit earthly but has a very smooth finish. The porter has a coffee/maple finish which I adore!! The service is great, they're very well educated and will give you tasters if you're hesitant about a drink. This place isn't expensive and you get a bang for your buck!!! You can also pay an extra 5$ to keep the glass, you can keep the one you drank out of, or you can ask the bar for a clean, empty glass. It was our first time coming here. The service was great. Employees were very friendly and welcoming. There's an outdoor and indoor space where you can hang out. Which i preferred indoor since it wasn't so bright. The only thing I didn't like was the restroom. They only have an all gender bathrooms and let me tell you ....... When I went to restroom, there was urine all over the seat . I had to wipe it off several times and squated when I peed. We as girls know it was men. It was so disgusting. They should at least have a restroom that for females, males and all genders. read more

A really cool 2nd brewery in the city of San Fernando. I really like the layout, it gives the brewery a lounge fell to it. Inside near the bar area they have a high stool, and sit down seating area, towards the back they have 2 large dart boards, and in the back thru also have extra seating in the outside patio. They had 8 beer options on the tap when I visited, I'm guessing they change the line up sometimes because I did see a few different beer description menus there weren't hanging up. There English Mild Pale, and Golden Stout are pretty solid beers, the rest were kind of meh. But overall this is a great spot to hangout, I look forward to visiting again to find out if the beer menu does change/expand. read more

Recently went and took our dog and it was really dog friendly. There were no other dogs though but it seems like a good space to bring your dog. Overall the ambiance was cool inside and outside although I do have to say the pictures are a little deceiving. It looks bigger in the pics but in person it's pretty small. The outside has plenty of seating, small and big enough tables so suitable for all kinds of parties. I was a little disappointed in the beer selection. The wife and I walked over about two weeks ago. We both got flights and later a couple of pours. I hadn't been here for a while (one year/two?). I am more of a lighter beer fan (ale/lager). Unlike previously, to my surprise they had quite a few. I quickly liked the "Scarecrow Bones" selection. We liked it so much, we went back again last week. Seating: Bar seating Inside, A long high top table, family style seating for about 10 people A separate little room for a larger party with a long table. Would be good for a party Adorable whimsical inside seating amongst a "forest" very pans labyrinth vibes. Another indoor/outdoor area with 2 dart boards with an electronic score board which was cool! (4) 2 top high tables around the dart board Outdoor seating is unfortunately small maybe 3 or 4 out of the sun tables and 2 or 3 directly in the sun so not as enjoyable. There's a patio cover but the outer tables get beat down on so try to get there early and grab an outdoor table. Best part they are fur baby friendly!! Dog friendly inside and out. We had our little pup right by our side and the workers loved her. Any place that welcomes dogs so openly is a great place in my book! Bathrooms: Honorable mention... 3 bathrooms and the middle one, the upside down bathroom is the coolest! (Did I just review a friggin bathroom?...yup) Beers: I LOVE IPAs...but I will say, I wasn't the biggest fan of their Owl IPA, but thats ok. Tasted a little closer to a fat tire, or a Newcastle, vs the flowery bitter taste of an IPA. Their "mousy" lager was great! Much bigger fan of that. Ambiance: 10/10 Love the vibe here! First thing to know that parking is mostly residential so you may have to circle around for some time or walk a distance from the main road as they have parking. Both inside & out door seating is available. Went here with a few friends on a Friday night so seating was a little difficult to find. Loved the theme, gave me Alice in wonderland! You gotta check out the bathrooms too, clean and nicely decorated. In terms of food, they had a pizza vendor on site so not sure if they use different food vendors throughout the week.
