    Score keeper for playing darts!

Last night we came in and had a wonderful time! There was live music performed by Teresa and her skills are unmatched. The lady who took our order was knowledge about the menu and our food came quickly! It was delicious! We got the patty melt with garlic fries and the cubano with steak fries. They have a real dart board next to the bar and the board is in excellent condition.

Love going to Lucky Fools Pub! I've been here several times, and it never disappoints. The food is phenomenal! I've enjoyed the grilled Reuben, the cheese curds are crispy perfection, and you can't go wrong with any of their burgers. Everything is flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what you crave from solid pub fare. Service is always great. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a bar, which is casual and laid back. This place is family friendly too, so bring the kids! Highly recommend if you're in Moorpark!

Chicken Pot Pie, so good. Puff pastry top over creamy chicken & vegetables. Gravy was just right, not too thin or thick. Able to absorb nicely with the pastry. Know before you order that the pastry takes about 20 mins to bake, so plan accordingly.

Top notch new favorite!! Staff super friendly and helpful. The big soft pretzel delish. Fish n chips hot. Cod fish fresh and battered perfectly Smashed chicken sandwich devoured Patty melt perfectly cooked. Grilled and fresh onions. Cheesy. Burger patty great. Next time will order the chocolate cookie dessert. They need 25 min. Made fresh! Outdoor seating fun. Inside pub cozy - great beer selection!

If you are looking for a low key place in Moorpark, then this is your place. This is a place where everybody knows everybody! Regulars will be seen here on a regular basis! This is not a pretentious place with high price drinks and decor that makes you feel in LA. Instead this is a place to pull up at the bar and have an ice cool beer and a friendly chat with the locals! We didn't have much food last night, but I am told that they have good pub food! Also this bar host music nights from time to time! Bar conveniently located near the Moorpark Depot in high street. So you can pop in for a drink after a commute home! Plenty of parking on the streets by the bar. Cheers!

3-29-2025 Noon Lunch Definitely Five Stars because the staff was inundated with motorcyclists from a major event also in Moorpark and the employees handed it like the professionals they are! And the food was also spot on and big time kudos to the kitchen staff at Lucky Fools Pub Moorpark, CA www.Bikers4Fun.com will return again for the delicious food real soon. I'm Johnny B Good and I am not under duress and I approve this review.

Full order of fish & chips.

Advertising works. Lucky Fools Pub supports the High Street Arts Center by posting an ad in their program. Dear Hubby and I suggested the pub to our friends who also attended a recent performance. We headed over, just a couple doors down from the theater. Once inside, we were welcomed and told we could choose any table we wanted. The bartender (or manager?) brought menus to the table and took our drink order. The food options were plentiful, but not overwhelming. Seemed like fish & chips were calling to ask of us. We ended up with 3 orders of the 4-piece fish and chips. One was split between us two ladies, while the guys went all in on the full order. Steak- or regular-style fries were offered as a side choice, but they also have sweet potato fries. The fish batter was crispy and had its own flavor, which went well with tangy tartar sauce. There were lots of menu choices that I wanted to try. Enough to definitely entice more visits. Avocado-Mango Poke Salad, in a pub? Okay! Pulled pork sandwiches or TriTip here would be on our to-try list. Their website says they have live music on the weekends, plus NFL games, and karaoke on Thursday nights. They offer seating on high top tables in the main bar area, and picnic-style tables in the adjoining room. Just enough holiday décor was present to promote the feeling that Christmas and New Year's Eve are coming right along. It can get noisy - we experienced a family with a lot of kids getting boisterous at a nearby table, but they got the children settled down and acoustics improved thereafter. We received great service from two of the friendly staff members. It was our first time stopping in, and it will hopefully be the first of many visits.

Would not take order of first round of drinks without looking at our ID's. My wife and I are in our sixties, it was embarrassing because they made a huge production out of it. (No other patrons that I saw were subject to this scrutiny) The Ugly: we each had one drink and shared two yellow tail sashimi starters. Upon asking for another round we were rather surprised to find out our party was cut off from the bar. Water and bread only. The sashimi eaten we took the indignation in stride and decided to wait until the barmaid deemed it acceptable to serve us again. Now it gets bad, one of our party became ill and threw up in the bathroom, before we could even find out what was going on with her, barmaid from hell publicly informed us because one of our party was ill we were permanently cut off from the bar. Not considering the food as the culprit of said illness at all. My wife began to feel sick as well and we paid and left. She had trouble walking, speaking and breathing. She became violently ill and the smell of bad fish was overwhelming. I have a portable breathalyzer for guests to use at my home to ensure their safety if they drink. My BAC - .023 , my wife's was .024 obviously not intoxicated. Shame on M on High for such poor judgement and embarrassing their patrons. Avoiding this restaurant is going to be so easy as there's a plethora of good restaurants in the area. This is my experience, the Good, the Bad and, The UGLY.

Wow Andy you sure have a lot to say which is all false the owners and management work extremely hard in all aspects of our business sounds like your upset we cancelled trivia? All of your accusations are false and not accurate we sell hundreds of thousands of these dishes you've mentioned all made in house and fresh with rave reviews and what's funny most people will look at your outrageous post and list and laugh at how inaccurate it is. We obviously cannot help the ranting you have made and the quiz patrons feel free to not come back if you are going to falsely slander our business they way you have. Very disappointed in the amount of false statements you've made but that what Yelp is a platform for people to hide behind rather than calling an owner or manager to discuss true facts. Good luck in your future endeavors at better restaurants we obviously aren't the place for you. so kim... exactly what did I say that wasnt true? that one of my teamates won't come anymore because your ladies room is not up to cleanliness standards? that your food is wildly inconsistent? that your managers have told me that ownership doesn't give a crap about quality? Hate to break it to you but no one in the room of 60+ people was disappointed when our quizmaster told us that we wouldn't be having trivia at the crown and anchor anymore. There were even a few cheers! and we didn't miss a single trivia night because he had pre arranged to switch our wednesday night trivia to a different restaurant that although it is an even further drive for me and my team, the food is much better, completely consistent and ownership of the restaurant takes pride in the product they put out. We have been asking our quizmaster for years to find an alternative to the crown and anchor.... We go to wednesday night trivia because we love the quality of the quiz and we suffer through your food as a sort of "necessary evil" and you can accuse me of not approaching you personally when there was a problem with a meal but the fact of the matter is that I have approached your managers several times with issues (like when the iced tea had no flavor or the fries tasted like they were cooked in filthy oil or the chili breadbowl was stale) and those same managers (multiple) said that you weren't there and you didn't really care about the product the crown and anchor put out. you could have just apologized for my negative experience but instead you accused me of lying and slander. And just because you manage to stay in business doesn't mean that you are putting out good/consistent product.
