Pretty good bar food and drinks, the servers were very nice but the host for our company party was extremely rude and yelled at multiple from the party when they went inside to use the restroom.

    Trivia- Name that song!

Bingo Night is so much fun! We met up with some friends at Tipsy for Bingo Night on Thursday at 6:30PM. The host Kylee and Danika do such a great job hosting the game! They kept it very interactive and exciting! All the staff are super friendly! Shout out to our servers Parker and Jonathan. Make sure to come before 7 PM for their delicious Happy Hour! Grab a drink and play some games. The prizes are so cute! My husband and I won some personalized tumblers to go with our free IPA that we won too lol! Kylee and Danika are so sweet. It felt like they kept the Bingo game going so everyone win a little something which is so kind of them. It is not just Bingo, but we played trivia for more chances of winning something! We will be back every Thursday!

    Lame hidden entrance.

Wow Andy you sure have a lot to say which is all false the owners and management work extremely hard in all aspects of our business sounds like your upset we cancelled trivia? All of your accusations are false and not accurate we sell hundreds of thousands of these dishes you've mentioned all made in house and fresh with rave reviews and what's funny most people will look at your outrageous post and list and laugh at how inaccurate it is. We obviously cannot help the ranting you have made and the quiz patrons feel free to not come back if you are going to falsely slander our business they way you have. Very disappointed in the amount of false statements you've made but that what Yelp is a platform for people to hide behind rather than calling an owner or manager to discuss true facts. Good luck in your future endeavors at better restaurants we obviously aren't the place for you. so kim... exactly what did I say that wasnt true? that one of my teamates won't come anymore because your ladies room is not up to cleanliness standards? that your food is wildly inconsistent? that your managers have told me that ownership doesn't give a crap about quality? Hate to break it to you but no one in the room of 60+ people was disappointed when our quizmaster told us that we wouldn't be having trivia at the crown and anchor anymore. There were even a few cheers! and we didn't miss a single trivia night because he had pre arranged to switch our wednesday night trivia to a different restaurant that although it is an even further drive for me and my team, the food is much better, completely consistent and ownership of the restaurant takes pride in the product they put out. We have been asking our quizmaster for years to find an alternative to the crown and anchor.... We go to wednesday night trivia because we love the quality of the quiz and we suffer through your food as a sort of "necessary evil" and you can accuse me of not approaching you personally when there was a problem with a meal but the fact of the matter is that I have approached your managers several times with issues (like when the iced tea had no flavor or the fries tasted like they were cooked in filthy oil or the chili breadbowl was stale) and those same managers (multiple) said that you weren't there and you didn't really care about the product the crown and anchor put out. you could have just apologized for my negative experience but instead you accused me of lying and slander. And just because you manage to stay in business doesn't mean that you are putting out good/consistent product.

Immediately we noticed that the…read moreinside of the restaurant was nicely decorated and well lit, an appropriate space for a lovely dinner, or so we thought. At the time the dining room was sparsely populated, only a few other tables were seated. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered within a few minutes of sitting down; my wife ordered the seafood pasta I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the tomato burrata salad as an appetizer. After about 20 minutes the waitress returned to let us know that they were out of the pasta, so my wife asked for the risotto instead. The salad arrived quickly, however my wife noted that it was missing grilled peaches that were listed in the menu description, a disappointment. The salad itself was balsamic dressed cherry tomatoes with a single piece of burrata on top. Another 40 minutes later our entrees finally arrived. Much to my dismay my dish lacked any appreciable character; it was as if they had cooked six month old frozen pasta and thrown up a brown sauce with fried sage on top. My wife's risotto was mostly cheese but was also similarly devoid of other flavors. Now to be fair to the folks here, I did mention to the waitstaff that the flavors in the food were off and they did reduce the bill. They were also apologetic about the wait we faced. Nevertheless, restaurants have three things they need to do well in order to be successful: food, service and ambience. Perhaps if they improved the quality of the food and the time to service more people would come. Needless to say, but I won't be returning.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

For appetizers we had: - deviled eggs - came with 5 halves and were just meh - poke nachos - onion rings - massive for 5 ppl but pretty standard Entrees are slightly small but it matches the price. Peggy's crispy chicken sandwich was crispy but kinda tasteless. The truffle fries came with lots of cheese and were good. The Wagyu burger was good. Splitting the check on the machine was so smooth. However, we were surprised by the pricing for what is essentially a takeout operation: $28 for a steak sandwich, $24 for a chicken sandwich, $24 for a breakfast burrito, $17 for bread and butter, and $9 for a cookie--all with a required 18% gratuity. We hoped the quality of the food would justify the cost, but unfortunately, it did not. After waiting a long time for our order, we finally sat down to eat, only to be very disappointed. * The Fries: These were thick, over-seasoned, and over-fried potato wedges. * The Steak Sandwich: Consisting only of steak and onion, it was incredibly dry and unappealing. * The Burrito: Entirely bland and lacked flavor with eggs and over fried bacon bits and potatoes * The Coffee: Even the iced lattes at the coffee shack were bad - tasted very milky with very little espresso and warm. Our mocha latte was horrible as the chocolate powder was not mixed well, clumpy on the bottom of the cup The meal felt greasy and unhealthy, and despite being hungry, we couldn't even finish half of it. The food was absolutely disgusting. We threw everything in the trash bin. I wouldn't recommend this spot and certainly won't be returning. It felt very much like a one time money grab as no one in our family will be revisiting this place. Even Jack in the Box would be better.

I don't usually have to use a knife with a salad. The amount of dressing it was tossed in was exactly how I like. It's a big salad and I had a late lunch. So good. It was full of chicken and avocado. Granted most locations follow the same set-up / interior lighting, this particular location has a rather nice front entrance & a very appealing/spacious outdoor dining area. For my next visit, I'll likely reserve a table outside to casually "people watch" as I dine. COCKTAIL: Georgia Peach = 9.0 / 10 You can't go wrong with this guy. I get it all the time. It's pretty much a boozy slushy. Not too heavy on the alcohol, which is fine, but I already know that I'm coming here with an appetite. The peach flavor is pronounced, but not too aggressive. The raspberry drizzle adds a nice, barely noticeable contrast. Plus the drink is just a beauty to look at with the orange + fuchsia lines. APPETIZERS: Chicken & Biscuits - Current / "New" version = 8.2 / 10 (Original recipe version / No longer offered was a 9.5 / 10) A "new addition" to the menu, I had to try this as this was actually an entrée many, many, moons ago. In fact, every time I tried to try anything else, I always found myself falling back to order this. That said, the recipe had changed (not for the better) & it was never the same again. That said, this rendition has some of the "DNA" of my all-time original favorite dish (mainly through the gravy), but it's still not exactly the superstar that I so desperately wish it once was. 2 pieces of their standard chicken tenders sandwiched between 2 fluffy, homemade biscuits. What really made the OG version a knockout was the combination of their addictive biscuits saturated in their thick, rich, creamy gravy. Here, one side of each biscuit is left untouched by the gravy. If I get this dish again, I would order an additional side of that gravy to saturate the heck out of this entire dish. Egg Roll Sampler A great choice when you have "choice paralysis" like me -- Avocado Egg Rolls = 8.7 / 10 I know friends who would come just for the avocado egg rolls. The creamy avocado contrast nicely with the crisp wrapper. Tex Mex Egg Rolls = 8.0 / 10 Nothing too standout. Chicken, beans, corn, peppers, onions, cheese are always a classic combination. It all does kind of "get lost in the proverbial sauce". Cheeseburger Egg Rolls = 8.9 / 10 My personal favorite but especially because of the accompanying "burger sauce". The meat in the egg rolls alone have a noticeable oniony flavor which I very much appreciate. I might have to order these by themselves next time I come. Chicken Taquitos = 7.5 / 10 Nothing too extraordinary here. Again, chicken that gets lost into whichever sauce that you choose to dip it in. As safe as a choice can be. ENTRÉE Louisiana Chicken Pasta = 9.0 / 10 Made some modifications - 1) Change the default accompanying pasta from bowtie. Personally, I think the fettuccini is the best vehicle for capturing that luxurious spicy, cream sauce. 2) Ask for an extra side of the sauce (served in a gravy boat). 3) My server suggested a side of the Buffalo Sauce. Best. Move. Ever. The "Louisiana" cream sauce is what makes this dish. It's spicy, but not too spicy. It has a nice background heat. Chicken was fried to a perfect crisp & not dry at all. I would happily get this dish again, but just make sure to make any necessary adjustments to tailor it to your liking. The boost of heat from the buffalo sauce is the kick that I didn't know that I needed & a welcome pro tip from my server. DESSERTS Key Lime Cheesecake - 9.2 / 10 A personal favorite of my friend's. I've never had any kind of key lime dessert before. I get it. I actually very much like the tartness of lime. But I've been told that key limes are different from regular limes in that they are not as tart. I like it. It's different & unique. Light, bright, citrusy that cuts through the all too familiar "heaviness" of a cheesecake. The whipped cream florets are also always a nice light contrast to rich, decadent cheesecake. Mango Key Lime Cheesecake - 9.3 / 10 Similar to the aforementioned Key Lime, but the layer of mango mousse provides a nice tangy contrast that balances the slight tartness of the lime. An unexpectedly welcome combination. Who would had ever thought that Mango + Key Limes are a killer combination. Apparently this is a thing & I'm just out of the "flavor loop". Regardless, I will happily keep this in my order rotation of cheesecakes. Especially if I'm not in the mood for something chocolate-related. HUGE shoutout to Robert T. for being my all-time favorite server at CF. Literally the most professional server who's on-top of everything. He's the kind of guy that you'd meet at an event & strike up a good conversation. The team is lucky to have him & if management is reading this, he really is a standout who deserves a raise. Having never met him before, I will most definitely request him (& recommend him to all of my friends) for all of my future visits to this location. A+

I just discovered Stonehaus today when I went searching for a nice spot to do lunch on Easter. I am…read moreso happy that I ventured over to Westlake Village because this spot was cute! I was hit with valet parking ($7 charge) as soon as I arrived so I was a little worried it might be a little snooty but the vibe was super casual once we were inside. After parking we made our way into the ordering area which has both a food ordering section and bar section. The menu is fairly basic but there are options for just about everyone from salads and paninis to pizzas. I got a pepperoni pizza and a red sangria while my husband got a chicken Caesar salad. The salad was pretty typical, nothing standout about it. But the pizza was actually pretty good. It has a very thin, cracker-like crust and decent flavors. After ordering at the counter, you take the buzzer and go grab a table in one of their many seating areas. I first stopped by the bar area to grab my sangria though. Even for a busy Easter Sunday, there was more than enough seating for all the people there. Take my advice and do a lap so you know where to sit before committing to a spot. We sat right up front where everyone else was. But after eating , I took my sangria and went on a stroll through the little vineyard and other seating areas there. You truly feel like you stepped into Disneyland or Italy when you are there. It's this beautiful little working vineyard in the middle of Westlake Village. Prices were a little steep for the food quality but the ambiance was totally worth it. They even had a live jazz trio playing which added to the vibe. There were tons of families having lunch there and I think that on a normal weekend this place is probably a great spot to come with a group of friends for a little day drinking and wine tasting.

MOTHERS DAY MASSACRE Just going to cut to the chase. There's…read moreno immediate parking it is roped off all for Valet you have to park at the adjacent parking lot. Service is non-existent there are zero servers or waiters in a very large area. Have to order your food and they are all served without silverware in stadium cardboard foldable boxes. What a vibe for a patio garden. Their menu is very underwhelming and pathetic... cold cuts and cheese is about 80% of it. What's left of it? Waited in line to order at 10.40am, how about some pizza which is clearly written as a lunch menu that begins at 11:00 a.m.? Waited in line to order wasting 20 minutes only for the cashier to say that pizza will not be served for another hour and that the pit is closed. Then why the fuck do you put it on your lunch menu and state that lunch begins at 11:00 a.m.? You cannot order any lunch items before 11:00. You cannot order any breakfast items after 11:00. I was there at 10:40 and they wouldn't even put it in or grant my request of simply starting a lunch order at 11:00 as long as I get the order in and pay so I don't have to wait in line again all over. Easy one (actually not even one just left) and done after the cashier seems to enjoy my suffering on Mother's Day with a group of people looking at me as I expressed my frustration that I could not order what I wanted when I wanted even if it was on time or not. Pathetic as can be. Left immediately after was told I can't order pizza at 11:00 when lunch starts. Good luck.

That's exactly how I describe my experience at Oak and Iron! You can tell that you're experiencing a work of art and a person's labor of love. Erika was our host and she was phenomenal! I'm definitely looking forward to my next experience at Oak and Iron!

The vibe is industrial and low-lit, like the kind of bar where the walls have stories but won't snitch. Small space, metal-and-concrete aesthetic, but somehow still warm and cozy. Perfect for a date night or a "let me mentally unpack my life over cocktails" hang with my best friend. What keeps me coming back? The bartenders actually listen. I can walk up and give the vaguest description -- "classic but not sweet, strong but not too whiskey-forward, smooth but still gives main character energy" -- and they'll just... create it. They've made me drinks that aren't even on the menu -- Army Navy, Aviation, etc. -- and every single one was spot on. They always manage to find the right drink for me, which is honestly a skill more people should have. The servers are genuinely nice, the liquor selection is solid, and the energy is chill without being pretentious. I've also heard there's a speakeasy hidden in here somewhere, and trust me, one day I'll find it like I'm unlocking a side quest. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Thousand Oaks -- industrial vibes, great people, and bartenders who match drinks to my personality better than most men can.
