Aviation such a beautiful & delicious drink
    Keriyana C.

Love this place. I've been here a few times -- once on a date and once with my guy best friend -- and it always delivers exactly what I need. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is industrial and low-lit, like the kind of bar where the walls have stories but won't snitch. Small space, metal-and-concrete aesthetic, but somehow still warm and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect for a date night or a "let me mentally unpack my life over cocktails" hang with my best friend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What keeps me coming back? The bartenders actually listen. I can walk up and give the vaguest description -- "classic but not sweet, strong but not too whiskey-forward, smooth but still gives main character energy" -- and they'll just... create it. They've made me drinks that aren't even on the menu -- Army Navy, Aviation, etc. -- and every single one was spot on. They always manage to find the right drink for me, which is honestly a skill more people should have. The servers are genuinely nice, the liquor selection is solid, and the energy is chill without being pretentious. I've also heard there's a speakeasy hidden in here somewhere, and trust me, one day I'll find it like I'm unlocking a side quest. Definitely one of my favorite bars in Thousand Oaks -- industrial vibes, great people, and bartenders who match drinks to my personality better than most men can.

I came here again for the first time in years and it definitely didn't disappoint! We got here around 8:45 on a Thursday and they closed at 10 so last call was 9:30. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has very cozy, intimate vibes now that there are high top tables in addition to the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are a lot more drinks on the menu than they used to have, but I still had to go for the go-to: the Smokey Edward! For my second cocktail, I got the Smokey Edward with browned butter infused bourbon and OMG, amazing. Our server (who's name I wish I remember now but she has green hair and was amazing!!) told us how to make our own at home too. I am going to have to try it out, and also try out more cocktails here! Still a great staple ever since it came to TO.

We came here on a rainy night and received wonderful service from the moment we stepped foot inside. The drinks are to die for and especially well crafted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is there for sure, with dim lighting and comfortable seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Erica is a wonderful drink master and very enjoyable to converse with.

I recently visited for happy hour and had a great time! The cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was really sophisticated and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server mentioned that there's a speakeasy downstairs, which I was curious to check out (I didn't). There's a Mexican place a couple doors down, which I think they partner with. If you're in the area worth checking out.

Oak & Iron makes the best cocktails and has an incredible selection of spirits. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The upstairs cocktail bar is the perfect date night spot to grab a pre- or post-dinner drink or two.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their whiskey sours. The whiskey sours are creamy, citrusy, and fresh. They use real egg whites and premium whiskey, served shaken in a coupe glass with no ice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The downstairs bar has a speakeasy vibe with a ton of rare bottles.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've never had the privilege of sitting downstairs, but one of these days I'll make my way down there for a Pappy Van Winkle or some other rare pour. The service is always fantastic, and the people are friendly and creative. This place isn't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Patrick & Sefton were great bar tenders. Very personable & very welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The speakeasy vibe definitely made the experience one for the books.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The few places in town that have kept their cocktail prices under $20! They have excellent cocktails here and they rotate their menu which is nice. They also have wine and beer. They have woodfire pizzas on the menu, but also allow you to bring outside food. We typically order from Bad Ass Tacos next door. The place is intimate with upper and lower bar. Small parking lot in the back and a few options on the street in front. It's a great place for a date night and meeting friends for drinks.

Left side of the bar with all sorts of options to enjoy.

Ordered a custom flight of 3 glasses. Price was more than fair and the service was excellent. The bartender and servers were all extremely friendly and helpful. Being my first time here they were willing to answer all my questions with a smile. Definitely will be back with some friends to enjoy another bourbon flight.

Absolutely outstanding experience here. Bartenders are knowledgeable and experts at what they do! Drinks are amazing. There was no food although I hear sometimes they do wood-fire pizza on certain days. The atmosphere is perfect, they have a speakeasy although we didn't get a chance to check it out, we'll be back

The elk was cooked perfectly, but needed a more acidic sauce....though tasty, the sauce was a little too sweet, taking away from the elk flavor. The Bison short rib was amazing in this game trip, with the quail, again....cooked well, but not the best flavor. My filet was perfect, and I loved the contrast of the wasabi mashed potatoes. Oh, and sorry...that picture came out blurry. My mom's choice couldn't be made, so the manager and chef accommodated her by altering a dish to something she thoroughly enjoyed. Very cool of them. Our server was attentive, and our water and soda glasses were constantly refilled without being asked. Service was incredible. Mother's day brunch was a mess for $800…read more Entrees and service wasn't worth the units. For nearly $100 per person, rib steak that was sous vide to medium, then served nearly well done and completely undersalted is unacceptable for a restaurant asking for this much coin. The steak sandwich was completely reliant on the aoli sauce between the dry ciabatta bread, and again showcasing how underwhelming the steak was by being undersalted. One of our dishes was completely forgotten, and had to be followed up on. Surrounding tables had similar issues. Eggs benedict with smoked salmon was a hit The starter salads / french onion soup and desserts were tasty, with the banana / blueberry bread pudding and tres leches cake being the stars. Avoid this after-thought of a brunch if you can, stick to their dinner menu and enjoy the incredible ambiance that is Saddle Peak Lodge. What a disaster though! For $800, Fogo de Chao, Maestros, Flemmings, even a drive to Alexanders in Pasadena would of been memorable. Shoot, should of just gone to Lure for the 10,000th time, at least it would of offered the same boring consistency. Super disappointed in Saddle Peak Lodge, as my family and I come here 1-2 times a year for dinner. Sadly this experience sums up why their over-all Yelp score is 3.5 stars now, and I'm sadly adding fuel to the fire for what once was one of my favorite restaurants.

It had a cool vibe and tons of allocated bottles on the bar (tequila and whiskey and whisky to name a few categories). The staff greeted us quickly and supplied us with some menus. I opted for the Idyllwild cocktail and loved it! It had the most complementary flavors and was so refreshing with the bourbon, yuzu, chartreuse, honey, and lemon flavors. My husband opted for a neat Caballito Cerrero Puntas pour (high proof agave spirit). They only had 0.5 Oz for their bottle and only charged for the partial pour. People came in and ordered anything from cocktails to neat pours to flights. It was a cool spot and the bartenders seemed pretty well versed in different cocktails, giving a few suggestions to different patrons. Even making a few Espresso Martinis for a couple of girls that didn't really like their initial cocktails. Staff was cool, attentive, and pretty quick and efficient with the pours. I'd definitely be down to try more drinks here if we roll through again. Luckily, we found some close street parking and it wasn't super busy so we easily found parking in the area.
