I wouldn't come here for the food or beer selection, but if you're trying to throw an axe, definitely stop by. I get why the portion sizes are small and overpriced, like I said, people come here for different reasons.. not just to hang out at the bar. It does suck though, cause sometimes I do just want food or a drink but wouldn't really pay the price for that here. On a positive note, the bartender and servers were great, and the customer service was genuinely appreciated. read more

My mom and I went to Mighty Axe for her birthday, and we had an amazing time! She was a little nervous since she'd never done anything like axe throwing before, but she wanted to try something new -- and now we can't wait to go back. A huge shoutout to Emma, who made our experience a 1,000 out of 10. She took such great care of us, was incredibly patient and kind, and made my mom feel like an absolute rock star. You could tell she genuinely wanted us to have fun, and we did! Joey, our bartender, was equally awesome. I wasn't sure which beer to get, and he took the time to help me pick the perfect one. We'll definitely be back -- my mom already said she wants to celebrate her birthday at Mighty Axe every year from now on. read more

My first time to Mighty Axe was awesome! The ambiance is lively and energetic. The decor is fun and feels woodsy. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. We made reservations ahead of time on their website and it was easy and convenient. There's bar with a wide variety of beers on tap. I love that the beers are all from local breweries. It seems like you can order Pieology and eat it inside Mighty Axe, but don't quote me on that because we didn't eat at Mighty Axe. The axe throwing is a fun activity! An hour is plenty of time for your axe throwing experience. The "axepert" employee will give you a quick tutorial on how to throw the axes, safety, and how to use the iPad. The iPad is a fun way to change the axe throwing game. It gives you a lot of options for boards or other games like tic tac toe to throw your axe at. We had a great time at Mighty Axe! read more

I don't usually review places like this but I had such a blast that i had to sit down and write something. My group and I went on a Wednesday night around 7PM. The place was pretty empty which makes sense because not a lot of people are out drinking on a Wednesday evening lol We arrived like 5 or so minutes late and they were super understanding and friendly about, I'm assuming because it was empty and they would haven't been so great if it had been packed so plan accordingly. There wasn't a lot of drink options but we got some IPA's and Twisted Teas. The Jell-O shots were definitely my favorite thing there ! They also have some pinball machines there, they're a dollar and they don't have quarters there so I'd take some money on the side. They have multiple game modes for the axe throwing and i felt completely safe the whole time. They do a quick guide on how to do the axe throwing safely and what to do and not do. Overall it was a blast and Matt and Grant were great at keeping us entertained and have a great experience. Definitely a fun thing to plan with a group of friends, date night, or even a night u just wanna throw some axes around :) read more

If you are stressed out or just frustrated, this is a good place to go. This is a good stress reliever. It is a good hang out place with friends and laughter will be everywhere. Anyway, you can bring your own food and they have ax for you to borrow. The staff are friendly and I would definitely recommend this place read more

Amelia and JT were awesome! Drinks were great! JT did a wonderful job helping us figure out what drinks were the best for those of us who are not big on beer. Amelia is incredible, extremely patient and a great teacher! Some of us were struggling getting the axe to stick in the wood. Fantastic fun!! Food is available to order (we had pizza and fries) and it came super fast. The Axe games are really fun! You get an iPad and it allows you to put up different axe games. We loved the zombies one. There are sound effects when you axe them! There is also a game if you're on a date and other fun stuff. The music was fantastic and added to the experience. It's got a cool bar vibe. Jensen at the bar and Our Axe-pert ( can't remember his name) were both great. There were no kiddos while we were there. It's not a place littles would have fun IMO. But older kids 10 and over would have a blast! read more

Really great experience! Never done it before but we loved it! Bri was great as an instructor and very encouraging! There are a lot of options for games on the axe board and it was so fun trying different ones. Bri and Dustin made for a great experience and we can't wait to come back! There were even a few cheers! and we didn't miss a single trivia night because he had pre arranged to switch our wednesday night trivia to a different restaurant that although it is an even further drive for me and my team, the food is much better, completely consistent and ownership of the restaurant takes pride in the product they put out. We have been asking our quizmaster for years to find an alternative to the crown and anchor.... We go to wednesday night trivia because we love the quality of the quiz and we suffer through your food as a sort of "necessary evil" and you can accuse me of not approaching you personally when there was a problem with a meal but the fact of the matter is that I have approached your managers several times with issues (like when the iced tea had no flavor or the fries tasted like they were cooked in filthy oil or the chili breadbowl was stale) and those same managers (multiple) said that you weren't there and you didn't really care about the product the crown and anchor put out. you could have just apologized for my negative experience but instead you accused me of lying and slander. And just because you manage to stay in business doesn't mean that you are putting out good/consistent product.

It is big enough to split between two people. It comes with salsa and thirsty sauce to add on top. I recommend this breakfast burrito and would definitely come back to get it again.

It feels very safe and secure to me as a parent but kids also get a chance to meet other kids who are similar in terms of age. We went during free swim time from 12-4pm and it was only $10 for ages 3 and up. There's a big shallow kiddie pool with water activities and then 2 water slides on the back side of the park. There's a rec pool that maybe goes to 4.5 ft depth so it's perfect for just enjoying the water when you can't lap swim because the pool is crowded. A large picnic table area can be found in the middle of the center too so you can being lunch and snacks too. There a larger Olympic size pool on the west end of the center that can be used for lap swimming so overall it's great for all ages and swimming levels. We're planning to be here quite a bit for the summer! There's also cabanas to change into and showers to rinse off before and after swimming.

This man has no conscience, no ethical compass, and does business dirty to make a profit. He is unhinged, condescending, and worships money over service, professionalism, and honesty. My child is autistic and is a Regional Center client. Lucile Cowle, also under Daland Swim School, said that they would create an account with a 3rd party payer so that they could be directly paid by the 3rd party vendor with the Lanterman Regional Center. I started communicating with Lucile Cowle Swim School on March 5, 2025. It is now July 2026 (16 months later), and I have finally been reimbursed after countless calls and emails. The only way that I was paid for adaptive swim lessons was to bypass LC completely, and Aveanna 3rd-party payers conducted a full investigation to unpack their numerous lies. Dealing with this unethical company was so traumatic and all-consuming. Aveanna had to create an internal memo to no longer deal with this company because they would often refuse to respond, say they already did without turning in the necessary paperwork, and they never responded to the Lanterman Regional Center. My Lanterman Regional Center worker constantly reached out to LC/Daland Swim School, and their statements about when they responded do not align with any of the paper trail. They have made it difficult at every turn. Read my reviews. I never posted a single negative review of a business before today. I have never posted a negative review even when the service or good wasn't great because I don't want to damage a business for having an off day. However, this took 16 months of my time, and the executive director, Tarrik Daou was so nasty, condescending, and more fearful of not covering his bases when too many outside parties (not me) came with financial questions than actually providing honest, reputable service or transparent, ethical accounting. I have a long paper trail that can back up every claim I have been as opposed to Lucile Cowle, who can't keep records or even finish setting up a business account for 8 months. This is step 1 of any financial accounting. I just can't in any good conscience recommend this awful institution or Tarrik's narcissistic personality as someone you want to deal with. Please. There are other reputable swim schools who won't lie to you. I don't call people liars easily; in fact, I literally never have before in any business review. I had to come up with a long paper trail and unravel his lies because he's such an expert gaslighter; you want to double and triple-check facts to make sure the accounting is done correctly. Please take your business elsewhere. There are swim schools that actually care about your kids, not just the money that comes with it. If your child has any special needs, please stay away. Being a special-needs parent who must advocate for your child's special needs is hard; why add to your load by constantly having to unravel one vendor's outright lies? Your time is precious, and your child can become an agile swimmer at a swim school that loves children and not just sees an opportunity to financially exploit you.

Today was my first visit to this business. They have a nice variety of pinball machines and they are well maintained. but I was turned off by the way management handled certain situations. We arrived with our own food, like we had on previous visits, but on this visit we were informed that outside food was not allowed. We tried explaining that we had always been allowed to bring in food, but there was no compromise offered nor alternate solutions. A moment after we tried explaining the food situation, a young kid in his teens walked up to the bartender / manager and asked him if everything was okay because he saw him looking around. I felt as if this kid was trying to play security and asking if we needed to be kicked out. We had to quickly finish our beers so that we could go outside to eat our food. At the same time, another group had a huge spread of Mexican food laid out across the entire right side of the bar. It was buffet style with sauces, guacamole, etc. in aluminum containers (I don't recall Mexican food being a menu item that they offer). I later on came back to order another beer and the food had still been laying out an hour and a half later, unopened. When I went to the bar and it was full so I was forced to wait at the side that had all of the food. As I approached the bar, I placed my jacket onto the bar and accidentally dipped the corner of my jacket into the green sauce. The bartender tossed me some napkins, didn't say a word and never replaced or threw out the contaminated jacket flavored sauce. I shrugged it off and went to the bathroom to clean up. Bathrooms were well maintained. I was then playing pinball when the power to all of the machines were cut off. This is incredibly rude and gives the customer the impression that this business operates on a 'we don't care about you' model and that they are only interested in obtaining your cash. On the way out we asked if cutting power is the new policy and the staff members smiled and said yes. Everywhere else I have gone, you are given at least one, 10 minute warning as a courtesy. To top things off. They also scheduled an upgrade to their 'Stranger things' pinball machine during the $8 free play time slot. The upgrade requires a technician to take apart the machine while squeezing in between 'Stranger things' and the machine next to it. This upgrade made it so that the machine being worked on and the machines directly near that machine were not usable unless you wanted to be in the technicians way. The staff members could learn a lot from the technician. The tech was welcoming and speaking to patrons while fixing the machine! The tech had great customer service skills! Due to the horrible timing of the upgrade impacting 3 machines and 'whirlwind' not being part of the $8 deal (staff can't figure out how to enable free play) My $8 buy in only saved me $1. I got to play 9 games total with a wet, spicy smelling jacket and the feeling that I wasn't welcome. I also want to make it clear that not all of the staff were behaving unprofessionally. Everyone was great other than the bartender/ manager and the young kid that was blindly following orders and playing the role of security/ bouncer. To summarize: 1. Mgmt/ bartenders staff needs customer service training. 2. Policies need to be implemented that allow for advanced notice of when the business is closing. Example 'wrap it up everyone, we are closing in 10 minutes'. Don't just shut off the power. 3. The website's FAQ needs to be updated to answer 'Can I bring my own food'. 4. The bar needs to be kept clean so that patrons don't have to maneuver around food items that have been laying out for hours. 5. Do not schedule pinball upgrades during the Tuesday 8pm-10pm window. This negates the entire reason for running a $8 'all you can play' event. 6. Train staff on how to set the 'whirlwind' pinball game to 'free play'. Good things: Bathroom was clean. The girl that works there and the pinball tech are friendly. Good selection of beer Pinball games are well maintained and there is a good selection. read more

Absolutely amazing night at the mighty axe! If you haven't been axe throwing, it is a must. My party of 5 came early, got some drinks (bartender Matt was awesome to talk to, and had amazing recommendations) and hung out until it was time to hit the lanes. Ash, our main axespert, gave us a super accessible and fun tutorial, and we were rolling- she checked on us throughout the night and made sure we were having a great time. The team really worked in tandem to get us our food and drinks, clear the tables, crack some jokes, and were generally an absolute pleasure (Thank you Jensen, Edith, and Jackson!). We heard talk around the town of this cool place! We finally decided to check it out and we are so happy we did! We went for a date night for a 1 hour axe throwing, and it was so much fun. The hour was a good amount of time, for it being (basically) our first time axe throwing. Though next time, we probably will do a 2 hr throwing and spend more of an evening there. Our host was Matt, and he was awesome!! Showed us the right way to throw, and was encouraging when we were practicing. He would walk by throughout the session and spark conversation and cheer us on, a very friendly guy! Great atmosphere, great beer, and even amazing food they pick up for you around the place! Just want to start off by saying that I've never thrown an axe in my life before this, but I had the most amazing time here at The Mighty Axe because of Matthew helping me out! My first few tries started off by nearly nipping a chunk of my own ear off, but Matthew is the ultimate axe throwing expert and his tips helped me feel like I was becoming a pro! I was looking for a unique way to celebrate my sisters birthday and get some aggression out. This place was THE MOST fun we've had in a long time. We had no idea what to do, but we had a great axe master to get us started. We laughed all night. This was my first time axe throwing, and it was easy and exciting to try it at this place with a group of 5 people. First, we arrived and ordered some drinks from our awesome bartender Jensen. Then we check in and headed in, our Axepert was really helpful with the directions, and it was perfect since some of us didn't know how to even hold the axe, she cared and let us do some practice throws before staring one of the many fun games they had. I'm sad to leave this review. Fun activity, really nice staff; I've been twice and have recommended it to friends, but... Saturday night we noticed that there's an option to change your target so that you're throwing axes at a caricature of a bound President Biden. That's violent, anti-American, and disgusting. I was walking around the mall with my sister over the weekend when we came across this place and decided to have some lunch and throw some axes. What a cool place to take a shopping break! Not only is it a fun place to throw an axe, but it's got great ambiance as well. You can chill with your beer on the couch, in front of the fire, while you wait for a lane to open up. The targets are all WATL regulation, and leagues have been forming. There's also a great selection of beers from local micro breweries. Had a good time with my inferior, lying sister while I was here. Had a couple of drinks near the fireplace and had an hour of throwing axes in the back. Jensen encouraged us to get the Enegren spring lager which probably helped my sister forget that she in fact lost all games except for the last one. The meal began with a complimentary amuse-bouche of burrata cream on watermelon tasting which was elegant and flavorful, but small. For starters, we ordered the Hamachi, Salmon Tartare Tacos, and Smoked Trout Toast. Each dish had an interesting concept, but none stood out. The salmon and tartare were ground so finely that they lacked the texture and freshness we expected. For our entrées, we had the Tomato & Burrata and the Sea Bream. The sauce accompanying the burrata was excellent and was the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the sea bream itself was slightly overcooked. We also tried two non-alcoholic drinks: a hibiscus mocktail and a lychee lemonade. Both were pleasant but unremarkable. For dessert, we ordered the peach galette and the chocolate dessert. They were nicely presented but tasted average. The chocolatine contained croissant bits. Given the restaurant's prices, we expected desserts to be better curated and with memorable flavors. Instead, they reminded us of supermarket-quality desserts. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, but the food did not live up to either the presentation or the price. We'd consider returning for the atmosphere, but not for the value.
