I have been a loyal Scotty P's customer since they opened their very first store. Today I was really not happy with the experience. I asked my family if they would Like Scotty P's, the answer was, omg yes!! So I go online, place the order and see the checkout system. I tell my sister she can go ahead and go to pick it up. So I get to the last part and the online ordering system says it is offline and that I need to call the store. So I call the store and place my order. I am ready to give them my payment and she says ohhhh we can't take that on the phone, you have to go online. I explain to her that I was just online and the site said to call the store. The girl said oh we must have forgotten to reboot the online system. I said I have had my own business for 20 years, I am certain you can take a card over the phone. Her response was I don't know how. UHHHMMMMM......okkkkk. I decide to call back and talk to the manager. The manager proceeds to tell me that the food is ready and I have to go back online and reorder the food and then do the checkout. I told her that as a business owner I am well aware that a credit card can be entered manually. I was told this is not their policy. So the order was placed at 11:32, when I called back to speak with the "manager" it was 11:38. By the time I finished speaking with the "manager" the online reorder and credit card checkout it is 11:52. Then the drive 6 is drive home. The lettuce was wilted, the meat was cold and the onion rings tasted like cold grease. Is that WORTH $35?????? I could have gone to SONIC and gotten a burger that was hot and a staff that is much more focused on the customer. This is not what made Scotty P's awesome when they first began. They were far more focused on meeting the needs of their customers than adhering to policies. As a business owner I totally understand why they would not want to take cards over the phone. I also understand that if I have dropped the ball by not turning on my online ordering system, I DO NOT inconvenience my guest and let them leave with food that has gotten cold. I make an EXCEPTION to the POLICY and do what is best for my GUEST. I am very disappointed. Other small things have occurred over the last few visits as well- an attitude that I am certain the owner is NOT aware exists. The people at the counter have been short and a little snippy with my 75 year old mother who is almost legally blind when she could not see the signature line or when you get to the register to order they look at you and say "NAME". Instead of saying Welcome to Scotty P's (with a big smile) what name will we be placing the order under today? Now this being said, even cold, the quality of the meat is superior. I hope Chris reads this and gets serious about training these people in customer service. Like the way it was when he was in the store showing us pics of his family and talking about how the restaurant came into existence. I know the stores are too busy to do this now but that ATTITUDE needs to be same--make every person feel important, bend the policies when necessary and do everything in your power to deliver the best. read more

My wife just brought 2 burgers home from ScottyP's in Allen. Had one bite and threw out the dried out buffalo chip. Over cooked and inedible. Heading to the Mickey D's for a couple of dollar burgers. Can't be worse. I will not be back Scotty P's, you wasted 20.00 of mine, you don't get another chance. Next time I want a premium burger I will stick with 5 guys or Fudruckers. read more

I went here last week with some co-workers. I am not a huge hamburger fan, but the guys wanted to go so I caved. They has a special of Greek chicken with a Greek salad. I know you should always try the normal food first, but thank goodness I didn't. It was some of the most flavorful and juicy chicken I have had in a very long time. There was a slight zest to it, but not overwhelming and the salad had just the right amount of dressing. It wasn't swimming in it. I also got to try a few french fries from my neighbors plate and they were smothered in bacon and cheese. How can you ever go wrong with that. Absolutely love and recommend this place. We get the chicken tenders baskets both grilled and breaded with fries and onion rings and wow. Portions are great and always hot. Also a must is their shakes. I've had the Caesar burger before and it is also great. Probably my favorite place to take the family and guests from out of town. read more

Ate here a few days ago with a friend. I love meeting people for lunch here because it's casual and you can hear each other talk! Also we can stay as long as we'd like to catch up without someone needing our table. We both ordered the Greek chicken kabobs- they were fresh and delicious. It's served with pita bread, taziki sauce and Greek salad. Very filling and delicious meal. I added a Small order of French fries that we shared and they were fresh, hot and not over salted. Our total bill for two people came to around $30 which I didn't find to be overpriced. Food was well worth the money. The people who work here are friendly and warm also. read more

We chose Scotty P's for Monday lunch over Snuffers and Moo-Ya burgers and was not disappointed! After ordering two of their specialty burgers, we asked about splitting the fries with Onion Rings on the "Platter" and they did it! We didn't have to wait more than a few minutes and our burgers were great! I think their meat, and the way they prepare it, is tops in the Plano, Richardson, Frisco and Allen area! This used to be our favorite "go to" burger joint but something has changed in the last few months. The burgers are not very good now (gristle and tough meat) and they hardly give you any fries anymore. We ordered the large basket of fries ($3.50+) since there were 3 of us and it was disappointingly low . We have been coming here every Saturday for the past few years and we have always been happy about the amount of food for the price. Too bad we won't be going here anymore. They make super duper chiliburgers. I got a chiliburger with homemade french fries and it was off the charts good. It cost $8.29 so my expectations were pretty high and they were well met! Perfectly grilled or toasted bun with a nice sized patty and lots of cheese & red oinons & really homemade chili (NO BEANS). It was a bit salty for me, but I do not like much salt. They cut their own potatoes for their fries and don't salt them to death. They have MALT vinegar which I love. They also have lemon slices for you if you use them. I could not finish my fries. I was too full. I went at about 2 PM and thought they would not be busy. They had about 15 people eating when I arrived. Ordering & delivery were quick. We have been enjoying Scotty P's for many years! We usually dine at the Plano/Custer Road location, but have frequented the Frisco location too. We eat "cleaner" these days but have been able to make adjustments with the menu to suit our needs. The Greek Salads, small or large, have been a mainstay for me. On recent visits, we have noticed some changes in meal quality, service, even decor. Are Greek Salads now only one size? In the past I could order a small or large Greek Salad. Twice recently I ordered a small greek salad and a grilled chicken sandwich. The first time I received a dinner salad. Last night I was able to get a small greek salad, after wrangling with the cashier a bit. He kept calling it a dinner salad and I kept emphasizing I wanted a small greek salad, like I've ordered for years. When my order arrived, it was correct and I enjoyed the meal. However, the "small" salad was smaller than it used to be. I realize things change and that the restaurant business is very competitive. I can live with a smaller greek salad, but I get the impression that things are changing here. The decor (fit & feel), and the food quality seems to be drifting toward that of a fast food restaurant. Scotty P's burgers are some of the best. They're huge and hand made as you order them. If you like lots of toppings on your fries, then try the Cardiac Fries. That's a huge order too and more than plenty to share. Also, you can slug down a bottle of beer with your burger. YUM ! read more

My family and I have been BIG fans of Scotty Ps since our first visit several years back. We have yet to find anything on the menu we do not enjoy. The salads, burgers, and chicken tenders are our favorite. They also serve up some of the best onion rings we've ever had. Probably the best compliment on their food is that my normally picky wife craves their chicken strip salad and she despises salads! I like to order the kids burgers. They are the perfect size for me. Even though I an an adult, the adult hamburgers are too big for me. I like the fresheness of the lettuce and tomatoes, and the flavor of the meat. They will cook the french fries crispy if you order them that way. Yummy. read more

Overall, I've had good dining experiences at Scotty P's. I'm a huge fan of a good flame broiled or grilled hamburger and Scotty P's is in the top 5 places I would consider visiting for one. My one suggestion is to be specific about how you would like your burger cooked. I like mine cooked thoroughly all of the way through. If you don't let them know you would like it cooked well, you will have a pink to rare burger on your plate. Their sweet potato fries are a MUST and my son is a huge fan of their chocolate milkshakes. The one negative to the Plano location is parking which can be a bit frustrating as it shares the same parking lot with two more restaurants. Your best bet during busy lunch and dinner times is to avoid trying to park in front and drive south into the side parking lot and walk around. read more

Scotty P's is my favorite Burger in Dallas. I have been going to multiple locations over the years and have never been disappointed. I always order my Burger as "Medium" and it is always juicy and flavorful. There is a chargrilled flavor that I don't get anywhere else. I usually get the number 3 Mushroom/Grilled Onion burger with a side of fries or onion strings. I have recently branched out to the Greek Salad with marinated chicken. I like this salad almost as much as the burgers. The marinated chicken is very moist. I don't understand the negative reviews here as I have always been pleased with the food and service. read more

Scotty P's is our family's favorite burger place. On occasion, because we have a coupon, we will go to another burger place close by. After we leave we always compare it to Scotty P's. Scotty P's has some of the best burgers EVER. I'm going there tonight for the 2nd night in a row. Personally I never would've noticed, but when I went into the Allen Scotty P's with my black friend, my friend pointed out how there was nothing but old white people pictures all throughout the resteraunt. I felt bad, but assured my friend there was no racism on the burger :) Ever since then, I look at Scotty P's in Plano, and they too have the same pictures. It doesn't bother me none, but I'm not black so perhaps if Scotty P's is looking to "diversify" themselves, they should add a little "color" to their black and white photos if you catch my drift. Food is great here. It's very expensive and if I'm going to pay that much for food I'd like the air conditioning to be on and working. For some reason of all the Scotty Ps in Frisco, Allen and Plano this location refuses to make the eating environment cool. May as well eat outside. I highly recommend Scotty Ps just not this Plano location as the ownership refuses to air condition his restuarant. read more

We have not been to this location in about a year. One of the main reasons is that I thought my name was on the internet mailing list or at least it used to be and I was always receiving notices about specials and the food. Have not seen one in weeks, thus I kind of forgot about this location. Was in the area shooing at the grocery and dropped by. Busy at lunch time as always. The food is very good and one of the best hamburgers at a custom made type restaurant. The friend fries were also good.I also tend to load by burger wilt all the condiments that are included with the burger as I do nto like to pay an "add on" charge because I ask for what I think is a standard condiments. This place does load your burgers down without extra charges.Since I have eaten out three straight days for almost all my meals look like tonight would be a good night to eat at home. read more

I have been a long time customer at Scotty P's and have never been disappointed. They have the very best chili I have eaten in my 67 years. Not greasy like most but full of meat and seasoning, served with grated cheese, chopped onions, jalapenos and crackers. It is so good it makes the choice between a bowl of chili and the #2 burger with chili, onions and grated cheese a very difficult decision. Also love their large salads especially with the crispy chicken tenders. The chicken is as good as it gets. My only complaint is the lack of cream gravy with the chicken and fries.
