He will help you color match and find the absolute perfect color you are looking for... he goes above and beyond every time I come in. I always come in to get dip powder and it's the best here. They file and clean up your nails so well without over filing which is an issue I've had at other salons. They let me come in the next day to remove the chrome I didn't end up liking for free. This isn't the most glamorous place but tbh I'm starting to think it doesn't even matter. They offer exceptional services which are hard to come by nowadays. I went to Savvy Nails today on a whim. I called at around 11:15am if they had walk-in availability for dip with acrylic. They gladly took me at 11:30am. Upon walking in, I was surprised at how big the salon was. They had about 4 stations in the front and many pedicure chairs in the back. I also liked how they had some parking on the side of the building, in addition to the nearby residential parking. The lady who did my nails was very fast. It took me about 45 minutes to get short acrylics with french tip dip. It was my first time getting dip nails and it was a good experience! My only grip was that they don't really trim or push back your cuticles. I had to go home to clean up my cuticles on my own. They also don't give you lotion at the end, which can be quite drying on your hands after the UV. The manicure came out to $65, which was pretty reasonable. Just a heads up - they don't do student discount on dip nails! If you're looking for a nail spot in udistrict, stop by Savvy! read more

They unfortunately don't honor the "after 5 visits you receive 50% off"! I checked in and the screen immediately said "you've earned 50% off for 5 visits!" which I knew and was looking forward to using! They were able to reserve it. When I arrived, we started right on time. I have a lot to say about my experience with Savvy. My first time going here was a full 5 star experience. I went with a friend who paid for my service at the time. We got the spa pedicures that come with a stone massage and all the works. It was incredible and the price point was amazing. I like my pedicure so much that I decided to come back by myself. To give everyone context, I am Black and my friend who I came with is white. When I came back on my own, I had a VERY different experience. I made my appointment for 10 am. When I get there I am being rushed to sit down while I'm trying to pick out a color. I was confused about why they seemed to be in such a rush as there was only me and two other people in this place getting services. But I pick my color and the pedicure starts. I am already noticing a huge difference in quality of service from my first time. My tech breezed through my pedicure, didn't ask me questions about shape I wanted for my toes, nothing. Before I know it, she starts to paint my toes without the massage at all. At the station next to me, a (white) person is getting the full pedicure service. I see their tech taking their time and doing the massage. So at this point, I speak up to my nail tech and ask about the massage and stone. She looks confused and asked me "you want a massage?" In which I reply with "isn't it included in the service?" "I'm confused because when I came here before, I got a massage with my pedicure." I'm also looking at the menu online to ensure that I booked the right service, ALL of the pedicures are "spa pedicures". So then starts to talk to a different nail tech in their language, the different nail tech assures me that I'll be getting my massage but the whole vibe in the salon shifted. I did get the massage but it was done with the same quickness as the rest of my pedicure. I paid for my service and I still (begrudgingly) tipped even though I did not want to. It's frustrating knowing that they were going to give me lesser services even though I am paying the same amount as the people next to me. I dont want to make it racial, but I can only speculate about why they were okay with giving me the bare minimum of an experience. Weird, considering my first experience with them was amazing. It really makes one think. Don't go here if you're Black because they're probably not going to give you the full experience that you're paying for. read more
