Delicious peach pastry! Really nice way to enjoy a relaxing, rainy, summer morning. I think I'll come back for World Cup game and wine!

Happy to see this place a lot busier than past visits. It's really the only authentic French bakery in the area (that has expansive service including wine...). It's a great addition to this area and everyone should pop in for a breezy relaxed atmosphere & scrumptious treats savory & sweet.

Don't hate! I could NOT stop eating this almond croissant before snapping a pic

I've been to this place a few times and i've had mixed experiences. It seems as if the pastries are very well made. However the coffee is definitely a mixed bag. Today I ordered a cortado and let the woman know what I was expecting and she did a great job. If I could give the almond croissant a ten out of five I would. It. Was absolutely a ethereal and one of the best i've ever had. All the pastries look amazing.I have yet to eat some of the savory food but they had offerings of croque monsieur, cassoulet, chicken with mushrooms, etc. I absolutely love french food and especially country style. This place is definitely very pricey. It was $17.14 for 1 pastry and coffee plus 18% tip. Ugggh ...so I won't visit often. That said, I will visit agaun when a real French pastry fix is in order.

The croissant and smoked salmon sandwich were great! Some of the best we've had in Austin. The staff was so friendly, and authentically from France. Would recommend.

Went here for some pastries and they were pretty good. The chocolate croissant was flakey and excellent but I thought the almond croissant had a weird taste and was too chewy for my preference. I have to knock it down a star because the coffee is completely overpriced for just nespresso pods you can buy yourself for pennies.

This is my favorite Boulangerie in Texas and is owned by the sweetest French couple. I'm so glad they opened this location in Austin since I'm a little reluctant to drive all the way down to San Antonio from Dallas for some French goodies. Everything here is so fresh and the service is kind and fast. Also, love the display of their baked and refrigerated goods. For my family, the ham and butter sandwich and the croissants are favorites. Oh and eclairs when they are available!

The pastries and breads and desserts are mostly brought in from the San Antonio shop, which is big and has ovens and a mixer. This place doesn't. The pastries look 2 days old and most are Frenched. If you don't like dark baked pastries, try and pre order, with a note, email and text.

Food: 3 stars Choices we're pretty limited by like 9:45 or so and the kitchen closes at 2:30, so come early to have a lot of fresh options! We ordered a vegetarian quiche, raspberry croissant, pain au chocolat, cappuccino and an iced latte. The croissants were great, but the quiche had a soggy bottom. I'm glad there was some mixed greens to go with the quiche to help cut through the fattiness of the goat cheese n butter. The cappuccino is decent tasting and is quite strong. The latte had a lot of coffee grounds, and I would suggest using simple syrup for iced drinks because having crystal sugar at the bottom looks kinda nasty. Venue: 4 stars Super cute venue on the bottom right side of a business complex. Nice decor and has a nice lil storefront for miscellaneous frenchy items. Inside of the bakery is quite toasty, so I hope they get their AC fixed soon or something since it makes it a little unpleasant to stay for long periods of time. There's plenty of parking outside. I also hope there's a sign or something coming soon since it wasn't as easy to find. As much as I love queen Rihanna, I'd suggest having different music to set up the ambiance for a quaint modern french bakery. Staff: 3.5 stars Staff were all very sweet, but they're a little unorganized and they could probably hire more people to work since service was slow despite the place not being insanely packed. Would I come back? I'd like to give this spot another chance to see if they improve after having more experience.

Banana bread pudding, Cappucino, I forgot the layered pastry name but it was incredible!

You will start your teacher's day off right if you surprise them with some caffeine! This location is where Uno used to be. IYKYK. They transformed this place into a lovely spot: to grab a brew, do homework, or even bring the kiddos. I saw a mom early this morning with three of them in tow- all in their jammies! :) I love that they have a board for orders. They tell you that it's been: received, in progress, or done. I think they hit the done button too quickly as it said mine was done but then it was another five or so minutes until it was actually done. They were slammed with orders so perhaps it was just a busy time. I will definitely be back when I'm in the neighborhood. I doubt that I'll be back on a work day as the traffic is already horrendous with all of the construction. You would have to give yourself plenty of wiggle room for time and getting to your destination. Ordering ahead would be the way to go. The outside space leaves a little to be desired. It seemed pretty barren and things needed to be wiped down. The baristas were friendly and they were taking good care of keeping their work spaces tidy.

It's kind of hidden in a corner, so if you're having trouble finding it, I recommend using one of the large maps on-site to make it easier. I ordered the Banana Matcha Cloud and a Blueberry Croffle. After my first bite, I immediately regretted not ordering a few extra croffles for the road--but I guess that just gives me an excuse to come back and try the rest of the menu. If you're unfamiliar with croffles, they're croissants pressed into crispy, buttery perfection in a waffle maker. They're topped with an assortment of mouthwatering ingredients before being served, making for an incredibly aesthetic (and delicious) treat. They also serve warm, freshly made taiyaki with a variety of fillings that are just as tempting. This place stays busy, and for good reason. Even if there's a line, it's absolutely worth the wait. They move through orders quickly, the service is efficient, and the quality never seems to suffer. I left completely satisfied, and this spot has definitely earned a place on my list of cafés I'll happily keep coming back to.

We arrived at 7:32. When our party of four arrived, we were told there was no table for us. Even though there were two tables available in the dining room. We were told that those tables were reserved for someone else and we could not sit at that table. We were told that it was another reservation for 730. We were not offered any accommodation, even though there were four barstools at the bar open, except to sit outside on the patio in the 90° heat. We refused and decided to find a different place to eat. It was very shocking that they treated us in this manner as I have been a guest at the Wayback multiple times and never had this experience. It was almost like it was a prank. We went back to the car to find another restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. While we are making arrangements for that, I realized that I had paid $25 for this reservation that they were not honoring and I wanted to make sure I requested that be returned. I went back into the dining room at 7:50 and the table for four that they refused to sit us at was still available. Amy, the young lady who said she was "like a manager", treated us as though we had done something wrong. When I went back in and requested my $25 back from her she made some comment regarding my refund tied to whether we gave them a bad review for the incident (one of my friends as we walked out of the dining room, said she would be leaving a review). I called the main number the following day and spoke with Vicky. Vicky told me she wanted to look into the situation and figure out what had happened. I told her the intention of my call was to get my the deposit refunded. She called me back a few hours later explaining it was their fault. She said that there was another person in the restaurant that had my same name and they wanted to move from the patio to the dining room and the staff gave away our reservation to that party. Understandable. She was apologetic and told me she would take care of the refund and also offered to send me $50 gift card through Toast. I'm not even really sure how that works or what that is, but I really just wanted to close out the whole deal. No refund or Gift Card ever showed up. I know sometimes that can take a little bit of time so I waited until the 25th and called back. No one answered. I left a message and did not get a returned call. I called again at about 11 AM on the 26th again no answer. I did not leave another message. I called again around 4pm. Amy, the young lady we dealt with on the evening of the event, answered the phone. She said the people in the office had already left for the day and she would take my phone number and name and somebody would call me on Monday. She called me back about 30 minutes later telling me she needed the card number that the reservation was made under. I didn't really feel comfortable giving that to her so I just said I would wait to hear from the office staff on Monday. Well no one called on Monday. No one called on Tuesday either. I called in on Wednesday and spoke with Vicky again. She said she had gone out of town and doesn't know why the refund was not taken care of. She said she was needed some time to look into it. I asked her to call me back when she had some resolution. I did not hear back from Vicky but today I got an email from toast that a $25 refund to my credit card had been run.... and I never provided my card number to have that refund issued. I do not take any pleasure in writing a bad review for a business. I waited to write this review until there had been full resolution so I gave them plenty of opportunities to communicate clearly and make this situation right. It kept getting fumbled which leaves me with the impression that they don't care about customer service.

While mistakes happen, what was most frustrating was how the situation was handled. The staff showed little concern for the inconvenience caused and made no meaningful effort to make things right. There was no attempt to find a solution, accommodate us in another way, offer an alternative time, or show any sense of urgency in resolving the issue. Instead, we were essentially left with no options and had to leave. A reservation is an agreement between the restaurant and its guests. When the restaurant fails to honor that commitment, the least customers should expect is an apology and a genuine effort to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, we received neither. The lack of customer service, accountability, and professionalism was disappointing and left a very negative impression. We had been looking forward to our evening, but instead walked away feeling like our business was not valued at all.
