Second time visit and it's still just as good. The people made the place, the two women working there were so kind and attentive when I passed by. They ran out of what I want - decaf espresso so the staffs were super helpful with guiding me what drinks to order. The special crepe with prosciutto, goat cheese and fig jam was phenomenal. It had an excellent taste and soft crispy to it.. I had a crepe across the street from the Eiffel Tower and it tasted like basic simple dough... here at Les Bobos, the crepe itself has flavor like an italian bakery pastry. I mean... add nothing and its a winner. Of course... im not simple... i got the passion fruit plus (she just made me something amazing). My wife had one similar a passion fruit with strawberries. I had a simple no sugar cappuccino.... Mmmmm just like a european one.... It was amazing. My wife had a bourbon caramel expresso drink that was dammmmmmazing!!!! Service was great!! The wonderful lady (i think the owner) just gave us all kind of ideas and was just extremely nice and welcoming... we need more peeps like her. What a beautiful soul. I love crepes and this place was just exhaustingly mediocre. I paid $31 for three crepes that were just fine. They couldn't offer me a water, plate, or utensils, and I was told we couldn't sit at the four top (just two of us visited and like, I wouldn't sit there but it was so weird to have it forbidden from us?) The staff was nice enough, but after eating a really messy dessert, the keypad to their locked bathroom couldn't register the code I was using so I had to walk around with sticky hands afterwards :/ I'd like to give them a 2.5/5--I won't be coming back UPDATE: About a week after leaving this review, the owner thought it was appropriate to send me this nasty message at 10:30 at night. This crepe and coffee place is hidden in West Campus, but it's a gem. I was skeptical, but these crepes are really delicious. They are cooked to perfection, being crispy on the edges and chewy on the inside. I got the Turkey, Gruyere, Spinach, Tomato, Basil, Pesto ($9.50), which was worth it, since they give a lot of toppings and it was a great flavor pairing. The crepe is quite large and comes in this interesting perforated triangle contraption that you can unravel at you eat. The thing with this particular crepe is that all the pesto and juice collects on the bottom when you get there, so that was not a pleasant last impression. It's definitely worth trying. It did take some time to make, so with only one worker there, our food came out slow. You'll have to pay for parking on the street too. I hear their coffee is not bad. There's few tables and stools, so we sat a group of 6 comfortably in one corner of the place. Would I come again? I came in for a savory crepe and as I waited and chatted with the workers I just felt compelled to buy a sweet one also for a dessert treat as I just felt like it would all be good and I was not disappointed! Both workers, one actually the owner (the quiet one), were pleasant ladies who I was happy to converse with. The space is clean and open and has great window seating for people watching (one of my favorite pass times). Their crepes are delicious!!! (that's the whole review really) The crepes are properly light and almost flake but still kind of melt in your mouth. They're a lot better than many that I've had in different parts of France. Les Bobos isn't the most noticeable from the outside, but I'm so happy I tried this out. The owner is incredibly welcoming and happy to explain everything on the menu. She is also very accommodating and keeps her cafe in such clean conditions! The cook, I saw, took great care in cooking each crepe, handling each with delicacy. They accept CashApp too. I came here to study with a friend for a couple of hours. Free wifi is offered, and you can get free refills on coffee and these little ice cream cups people kept ordering (not sure what it is called, but it looked tasty, refreshing, and creamy!). Gluten free and vegan crepes are offered. The GF crepes have a darker hue, are more bubbly, and aren't as sweet as the white flour crepes. If you like a more wholesome & healthier taste of crepes, maybe try the GF. But for authentic and higher notes, get the white flour. I ordered a seasonal savory crepe (prosciutto, arugula, goat cheese, and fig - $10) and it was so delicious. The batter (white flour) of the crepe was perfection nice crispiness on the edges. The owner recommended I get the white flour so the sweetness pairs with the fig. I loved the goat cheese and fig especially - I wish more was put in!! I also got myself a 16oz coffee ($3). Milk alternatives are a little extra charge. It is quite a strong coffee (I liked it). This would be a 5 star review if it weren't for the price and how much filling in the crepe you get for that price. I will love to come back here and try some other interesting menu items. One day for lunch, my kids and I were trying to get out of the rut of ordering takeout from the same places we've been ordering. We decided to give this nearby place a try. The three of us ordered 3 savory crepes and they were yum! My daughter liked it so much that she went 2-3 weeks later for lunch here with her best friend. I learned that they make gluten free batter too, so my gluten-challenged husband could get some lunch here. The place has some tables and places to sit if you want to eat there. But it's not a huge place -- you can check out other people's pictures/reviews. The ambience is pleasant, clean and has the "cafe" vibes. I could picture... sitting on the bar stool facing Rio Grande street on a nice day, looking through the trees, the street and the red-bricked buildings around, feeling that life is just wonderful. While Monday "crêped" up on me so quick, I had the pleasure of meeting up with my friend @atxbrokegirls (IG) and visit Les Bobos in West Campus. This place is bright, clean and modern and Elle and her staff were so welcoming. If you ask me this is an awesome Instagrammable spot. You can see the art of making the crêpes through the plexiglass right in front of you and it is mesmerizing - the fulcrum in the center and the crêpe magician moves the wand to make that thin perfect circle. The crepes are affordable and filling. There are lunch/dinner crêpe options (savory) and of course sweet dessert versions too. I also recommend this place to just go and work at - put your headphones on and get your projects done. In fact, you will see a lot of UT students doing exactly that. They also serve coffee and tons of other caffeinated drinks to keep you focused on your work. I cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10 Check out the photos! We walked in and were immediately greeted very by some very friendly people. The place was extremely clean and I really liked the bright aesthetics. There's a lot of crepe options on the menu but they also let you create your own and customize it however you like. We ended up getting 2 to share, one sweet and one savory. We got the mushroom, spinach, goat cheese and basil crepe with buckwheat flour and the lemon curd with raspberry crepe (not on the menu). We took them to go and ate at home. Currently, they're offering dine in at a reduced capacity but we got takeout since we live nearby. Both crepes were delicious. I only wish they were bigger . So those people who give reviews less than 5 stars are terrible people. They are the type to come in an order 1 coffee for a group of 4 an demand to use the wifi. They complain about everything. I've been here multiple times. I'm not even a student, but go out of my way to eat here. The staff is amazing an the owner, Michelle, was very knowledgeable in her business model and menu. The crepes are filled with more than what amount of filling you'd get at a Dennys or iHop. My favorite coffee is the biscotti iced latte. I recommend this business to anyone and everyone. I've always walked past here when walking in West Campus, but have never been able to go in since it's usually closed when I walk by. Today, I finally remembered it existed during its opening hours and I'm glad I did! Les Bobos is so underrated. I can't believe I don't hear about it more when we have a crepe cafe in WC. I got one of their summer specials not on the menu with prosciutto, potatoes, herbs, and a cheese I forgot the name of and it was very good. The person who took our order, who I assume is the owner the other reviewers were referencing, was so sweet and very knowledgeable about her menu.
