    Regular Poutine

Amazing poutine! I never thought vegetarian poutine could be so good but Saus delivers. Got the classic this time with the miso-mushroom gravy but curious to try the toppings next time!

Saus came highly recommended and it did not let us down. We each had the most delicious hotdog, and the Nutty Cilantro Salad made of papaya & scallion slaw was dynamite. Flavors from both of these burst in our mouths, so delightful. We'll be back!

We were hungry while visiting Bow Market and Saus caught out eye. We got a large poutine with kimchi topping and the Sommerville Dip. They came out in about 15ish minutes. Both were great! The Sommerville Dip was a bit too salty for my taste - the sandwich and dip were both salty by themselves so the combination can be too salty for some. This next part is more of a general comment for Bow Market but it was very hard for us to find seats as there were lots of visitors to the market that weekend. I also don't recall any seating inside Saus itself (or any of the other eateries).

Poutine- 2/5 Regular fries- 4/5 Truffle ketchup- 5/5 Wait time- 3/5 Definitely some hit and misses here. We were craving fries and this spot was on my list to try out. Plus bow market is just the best place to hang out at. The poutine was fine, but the gravy was too salty and lacking in flavor depth. Also fries ended up too soggy for my taste. The regular fries were good! And the truffle ketchup was out of this world that I must look for truffle ketchup for my pantry. The wait was also crazy long for fries. We waited maybe 20-25min for 2 items. But at least the food was hot.

My partner and I enjoying nuggs, fresh French fries and awesome dipping sauces

Vegan premium "fast food" in a hip location. The menu is vegan I believe and my partner loves it here. They do a creative take on some American favorites. The fries and sauces in my opinion, put this place on the map. My partner loves the veggie dogs and has found a new obsession with the nuggs The folks at the counter are always friendly. There is absolutely an inclusive vibe and the ambiance is fun. The space is pretty small but there are some stools and counter space to perch at. Recommend.

    Very cool looking menu

This is probably closer to a 3.5/5 than a 4/5, but it wasn't all that bad. My basic feeling is that if I'm paying $8.50 for poutine, I want a pretty substantial portion of fries, but the $8.50 portion was pretty tiny. And on top of that, the toppings push the regular size over $10, which is pretty expensive for a small amount of potatoes with a small amount of toppings. The actual cheese curds were also disappointingly cold and a bit hard in some places. The ones buried deep in the fries were a little bit melty, but the ones near the top were really cold, hard, and not too pleasant. HOWEVER, the fries themselves were very good. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the perfect amount of salt to them. The mushroom gravy was also quite rich and actually tasted a little like truffle even though it was miso mushroom. There was pretty good coverage as well, and most of the fries had some amount of gravy touching them. Only after I ordered did I realize the entire menu was vegetarian, so I want to come back and try some of the other items. The crab cake, carnitas, and hot dogs look really interesting, and I'd love to give them a try next time! All in all, this was a mixed bag. The fries and gravy were good, which was the heart of the dish, so I give this a pretty high score. However, the cheese curds could have been warmer and the price for poutine is a bit high for the amount of food you get. I probably wouldn't order the poutine again, but I'd definitely try some of their other food!

Good food, all vegetarian, friendly staff, although very busy and very long wait during the Saturday evening dinner rush. Limited outdoor seating. Very salty. Nice assortment of sauces.

Dining method: Take out, eat in Bow Market. Item(s) ordered: Crunchy Bowl and fries Speed: about 10 minutes to come out Value: Overpriced The review: These two stars have been earned purely by the staff. They were absolutely lovely and awesome to talk to. Their service was great. Everything else about this place does not live up to the trendy marketing. The salad was entirely arugula, the accoutrements tasted pretty mediocre, the dressing was downright not good. Nothing went together, and the flavors did not mesh by any means. I also got the cauli-falafel patty, which was heavily fried and tasted good at first but starts feeling heavy after several bites. At least the fries were pretty addictive and tasty, as I do like the fresh-cut style. Some were quite soft and soggy though. Super disappointed because I'm a vegetarian and was hoping to support a plant-based spot.

Inside now market area - I was looking for something different to try and originally wanted the poutine but they were sold out :( But I shifted and was very happy with my veggie burger. It was not greasy or over cooked whats so ever. Honestly the best one I've had in a long time. My friend got the "pulled pork" and she loved it! The fries were so fresh and I got the truffle ketchup which I highly recommend and I also tried the secret saus and was not a huge fan - maybe because I loved the ketchup a lot more. The customer service was also amazing!! They were so helpful with us picking sauces ! And they also serve alcohol here in cans

I'm addicted to Saus! Been here too many times to count in the past few months. I always get the poutine with the miso gravy, shallots, and sambal. I love that this poutine is vegetarian friendly and has so many options available!

Ok this place may not get the most acclaim but the Sambal Poutine here is one of the most unique dishes I've ever tried. It packs a decent amount of heat and a lot of flavor- definitely try it! The other items here are pretty solid vegan items like the Reuben dog, but my favorite was definitely the sambal poutine.

Finally was taking a walk around Bow street court where all the neat eating/retail tiny stores were. Got the munchies so family and I went on a tasting spree. Now, we found out that the tables that are situated around the center of the area needs to be reserved online before you can sit in those reserved tables. Its free to reserve and they have a few folks there to help you check in. Once you check in and they seat you, you can scan the QR on the table and actually order from from your phone and the shops bring you the food when its ready. Very neat. Although we were not able to reserve anything at that moment so just sat outside of Saus that had a few tables and seats. Now, onto the food. We had Saus Poutine but was a little disappointed at the fries in general. It definitely wasn't something to write home about and really satisfied the cravings for food and tied us over. The chunks of mozzarella in it were good but you really have to fork it with mouthful of fries to work since it wasn't that hot. The fries were...well, just fries, nothing to flavorful. The gravy itself had plenty of salty gooey goodness but that was about it.

Absolutely amazing Vegetarian food! When first coming to Saus I had no clue it was a plant based restaurant. Besides reading the menu, you wouldn't be able to tell while eating the food too! We ordered 2 of the Chef Special Burgers and made them meals (came with fries) and a "Big Poutine." 100% we ordered too much food. This totaled to roughly $55 which took me for surprise. Highly disappointed in the total price, but highly impressed with the food. So call that a compromise. The service and atmosphere were excellent! You could find a dozen of card & board games to play alongside a mini merchandise area. As someone who is not vegan/vegetarian, I am not sure if i'll be back, but i'd highly recommend to those who are!

Nothing out of the norm, average, quick, and attentive service. The food was phenomenal! I love that the focus is around serving food in Tip as their highlight. I will say a lot of their food is cooked with alcohol, so slow down and read if that's something you're trying to avoid. Typically when restaurants charge higher in price the food is average in taste, but everything else we ate was a home run. I will be back to try more! For the scenery of the restaurant it was a mix of a Bar and fine dining. I like that, if you're there to watch sports and hangout you can easily do that. If you're there for a nice and simple date they've separated a space to do just that as well. I went up to the makeshift portable bar and they had I am guessing 8-10 beers on tap. No flights. So, I ordered the girlfriend and I each a beer which were poured into plastic to-go cups.
