They are consistent with the food, placing an order and timeliness. If I was going for a late night place, I would order here. It's really takeout. But there are stools and a counter. I'm mostly ordering hot family who live further away now. The fish sandwich is very good, the roast beef sandwiches. That's about all I've order. They have hot/cold sandwiches, dinner plates etc. Never out of style, a good lunch run.

I was very excited to stop here because I never been to Boston and I wanted to try a roast beef and a lobster roll. When I received my food the meat was cold. The roast beef and the lobster roll were cold. It was as if they pulled the meat right out of the fridge. The total comes to around $37 which is pretty steep and disappointing since it was cold. I had high hopes for this place to get a cool Boston experience and was unfortunately let down.

It was either Kelley's or Mikes for a 3 way roast beef. Tried the super 3 way . The onion roll had a nice chew. I thought it needed more beef. It was good beef , a little tough chew, but cooked right pink red. Sauce a bit heavy , not issue with the mayo and cheese. It was a good beef... I meant to add a tad horse radish sauce. Kelley's in Dedham last visit was just ok, but last Medford Kelley's was solid and I think more beef than Mike's... but I think Mike's super price is cheaper? Menu says 8.99; 9.72 with taxes. So ... no issues with Mike's ... a good 3 way beef for under 10 bucks in 2026 after Biden beef inflation.

I came back to Mike's again a few months ago. I live 5000mi away, so Mike's is a treat whenever I can come back to Boston. This is a place my dad used to always take us when we came back from Logan and wanted to skip the tolls. Prices are obviously higher, but it's as good as ever. Really can't complain. There's a standing/seating area to down your beef before you move on.

This is not a place for ambiance or romantic getaways. It IS perfect for a quick, solid meal with outstandingly fresh ingredients. There's a wonderful seafood menu, with lobster rolls, fried scallops and more. **No public restrooms

Mike's is awesome! Got the super roast beef 3 way with horseradish sauce, lettuce, and tomato. Delicious! Meat was tender and yummy and sauces were flavorful.

This review is for the roast beef and roast beef only. A while back, I fell down the rabbit hole of an r/Boston thread that debated where to get roast beef and Mike's ranked as one of the top places particularly for its authenticity and value (apparently, Redditors are staunch in their belief that North Shore places should be avoided, or anywhere else that requires a fork and knife to eat the sandwich). Anyway, we pulled up on our way to Costco and ... my expectations were not high. It seemed like a typical fried food joint right across the street from the Encore.* Well, this is a lesson to never judge a book by its cover because the sandwich was phenomenal. There's a reason why that sign looks super vintage, it's been around for decades. We got the super beef three way (BBQ, mayo, and cheese), and after the first bite, I wished we had each gotten our own sandwich. The onion roll was super chewy and pillowy, the beef tender, the sauces combining in perfect harmony. UGH. I'm not a beef person at all but I could've eaten the whole thing myself. If I'm in the area next time, I might take it to go - there's not much seating and you're just looking out at a parking lot and the street. PARKING: Just a warning that if you pull in from Broadway and park on the front-facing side, you may have to back out onto Broadway, which gets pretty busy. There are spots further along the other side. *I looked up later to find that Mike's was sold last year for $5.5 million to the same development group that owns the Encore. Hope it sticks around!

Unassuming place, consistently delicious food. it's open late, service is quick ( may get busy later at night ) , and friendly service ( usually;) Ask for well done chicken wings- they make them real crispy and juicy. And i love their cheese and steak and pastrami sandwiches ( make sure to get it on onion bun)

NEVER COMING BACK HERE. I live down the street and have gotten Mikes for years! This is so bad that a person who has NEVER made a yelp review is making one. I ordered a super roast beef, a small roast beef, and a order of fries. I return home to open my roast beef and the meat is raw legitimately raw. And I've had roast beef my whole life. I know how roast beef is supposed to be, and I know that it is rare, but this was raw and most of the meat wasn't cooked. I called up Mike's roast beef and told the guy what happened he said that he would give me another sandwich and to BRING THE OLD ONE when I returned. So I returned and brought the old roast beef with me that was raw and told him I would like to replace it, and I told him to open up the bag. He immediately threw it away and said he doesn't want to. I I asked him twice more to open up the bag and just look at it because he was trying to tell me that the beef is supposed to be rare which I do know, but this was raw not rare. He refused to open it still and asked me what I wanted. I told him a super roast beef three-way again and he continued to tell me over and over again that I should order something else because what I got was how it's going to be. I just told him please can. I have a three-way roast beef. He then gives me a roast beef bag and I open it before I leave and it is a WELL DONE roast beef. these guys did this on purpose. They were speaking Spanish in the back, laughing making jokes and I know they did this on purpose. I attach the photo of the well done roast beef. They did to get back at me before complaining. Well I'm sorry I didn't want to waste $35 on a raw roast beef. I just walked out never returning again. I suggest you don't come here.

This place is good place to quickly grab food. The food came out in five minutes and everything tasted really fresh! The onion was fresh and crispy. They put good amount of roasted beef to get you full. The service was really nice and had many options to choose from. I feel like it is rare to find restaurants like this in Boston since it has a vintage vibe. I really liked the food and if you are in Everett it's a great place to come visit! I got the large roast beef sandwich and it had so much flavor and went well with the bun.

There are plenty of places in Boston that can make a good burger. What is much harder to find is a…read morerestaurant that feels like it couldn't exist anywhere else. I'd heard Waverly had one of the better burgers around, so when a friend was visiting for Sail Boston, we made the short trip off the more traveled streets to see if it lived up to the reputation. I'm glad we did. Waverly is tucked away on a quiet side street in Charlestown, and that's part of the charm. The dining room is small, warm, and comfortably lived in. Nothing about it feels manufactured. The decor has an old soul without feeling dated, almost like it has been there longer than it actually has. Later I learned that's intentional. The restaurant takes its name from the historic Waverly House, a grand Charlestown hotel from the 1800s, and was designed to capture the feeling of the neighborhood's historic brownstones rather than chase the latest restaurant trend. The room felt like it belonged to Charlestown. Most of the people inside looked like they could walk home after dinner. That's the kind of place I always hope to find when visiting a neighborhood, somewhere that serves the people who live there first, and everyone else second. We asked for a window table, and the staff happily accommodated us. It's a small gesture, but one that made us feel welcomed instead of processed. The burger justified the trip on its own. I added the sunny-side-up egg, but the real star was the bacon-onion jam. It pulled everything together without overpowering the beef. The burger itself was tender, the sesame brioche somehow managed to hold everything together, and I appreciated the choice of Vermont white cheddar and Grillo's pickles. Those aren't flashy ingredients, they're just the right ones. Seeing Downeast Cider on tap certainly didn't hurt either. What impressed me most wasn't that Waverly was trying to reinvent the neighborhood burger. It wasn't. It simply executed it exceptionally well, with enough confidence to let good ingredients and thoughtful choices do the talking. Charlestown wouldn't just lose a burger if Waverly disappeared. It would lose one of those neighborhood places that quietly makes a neighborhood feel like itself. You come for a well executed meal, but you leave feeling like you've experienced a small piece of Charlestown. Places like that are a lot harder to replace than a good menu.

I really, really, REALLY wanted pancakes. The website said brunch goes until 3. We get there at 2:50. They said they were no longer serving brunch and they've moved to their limited menu, because brunch ends at 3. You can imagine the puzzled look on our faces when they told us it ended at 3pm but it's still 2:50pm. They said we would have been fine if we were 5 minutes earlier. Weird that 2:45 is fine but 2:50 is not. We were annoyed, to say the least. But we were hungry, we didn't know what else was around, we needed to eat, and it already took us 30 minutes to get here in an Uber. Two guys came in after us, also before 3, who were also really excited for brunch. They too were shut down. We ordered off the limited menu. It was okay. It was fine. But that's not the point. If brunch ends at 2:45, then say it ends at 2:45. Don't say it ends at 3pm and then shut people down because it secretly closes earlier. I get that you guys want to switch the kitchen over and prep for dinner, but serve the food you say you're going to serve at the time you're going to serve them. Nobody came in after us and the other party that was also in before 3, so it's not like there was some never ending rush of people trying to get brunch. I also don't recall anyone else coming in before we left probably an hour. Poor communication and poor customer service.

Huge shoutout to Eduardo, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our sisters holiday outing feel special and intentional, and to our server Paulina, who was attentive, warm, and truly wanted everything to be perfect. And it was. Let's talk ambiance first because whew. Chic. Stylish. Aesthetic on aesthetic. Even the walk to the bathroom felt curated. Ladies... the mirror alone deserves a moment. Full body selfie approved. Now the drinks. The mocktail I had was SO good. Balanced, flavorful, refreshing. I like a mocktail that has flavor and layers without being super sweet. The apps thoughhhhhh! They deserve their own paragraph because baby... The crab rangoon was TO DIE FOR. That old school wrap dough situation? I have been hunting for that exact texture and flavor forever. My fave restaurant switched dough and I haven't had a good Rangoon since then until now. It was crispy, nostalgic, and perfect. The fried egg rolls? Delicious. The pickled cucumbers? Bright and refreshing and er literally ate every drop, lol. But the WINNER... those fall off the bone ribs. I might have made a sound when I bit into them. Cooked to perfection. A full blown flavor party in my mouth. The scallion pancakes were the only thing that did not hit for me. The dough was thicker and heavier than I prefer. I love mine light and airy like traditional scallion pancakes. If they leaned that way I would have been obsessed. Our main courses... baybeeee The Dan Dan noodles... I did not even get a bite. I went to ask my sister for a taste and they were GONE. All of them. That says everything. My other sister loved the dumplings and even more that they fried them for her instead of serving them traditionally. And the sauce with those dumplings... Let me tell you about the sauce. I am OBSESSED. I took some home and Eduardo generously gave me more to take. That is top tier service and an at home sauce party, lol. My fried house rice was excellent. The mix of veggies and flavors was perfection. With everything else we ordered I could not even finish it. And then... dessert. Eduardo and Paulina surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake that was so light and decadent, topped with fruit and homemade whipped cream. Next time I am absolutely saving space for that. The customer service was truly top tier. The decor, the food, the staff, the background music. Everything PERFECT. My sisters and I sat for hours. We laughed. We ate. We shared emotions. We were present. That alone tells you how comfortable and welcoming this space is. I would go back today. I cannot wait to bring my husband and some of my fellow foodies.
