Delicious sandos! I got the Combo Sandwich and the Rosemary & Garlic Baked Fries. The sandwich was great: unique bread, plenty of protein, and hefty. The green beans didn't detract from the flavor of the sandwich and added a nice textural component to it. The jalapeño sauce was pretty mild whereas the habanero sauce packed a serious punch. Go for the beef over the chicken as the chicken was slightly dry. Solid fries too (especially the Spicy Mayo dipping sauce--absolutely bomb, definitely one of the highlights of the meal). Very hospitable owner and hostess. It clearly is a cherished establishment as people were constantly coming in and out

I successfully beat the lunch rush and picked up a small chicken original Chacarero sandwich which came with avocado spread, tomato, and green beans. Hold the spicy sauce. The chicken is thin cut white meat, which was fine moistened up be the avocado and green beans, but the bit that overflowed the bun was a little on the dry side. Service was pleasant. I was satisfied. $13 after tax for the small original chicken make for a reasonably priced lunch these days.

One of my OG go to sandwich shops in downtown Boston. The pairing of Munster cheese with string beans and peppers with bbq beef is not your typical sandwich but it works and tastes good which is why they draw so many people each day for lunch. The spicy beef is a bit spicy for me and the chicken is usually dry so I like the beef!

What a gem! We stopped by for lunch and it did not disappoint. Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted by the hostess that welcomed us to her family's restaurant. She asked if we had tried Chilean food and proceeded to kindly explain the menu. We opted for a small BBQ beef sandwich and a drink. The food was prepared by the owner/hostess' father, and the owner/hostess' mother helped us with our drinks. The beef was soft and delicious, with unique flavor in part to the slow cook spices, the green beans, and the avocado spread. Highly recommend!

Delicious Chilean food. We tried the bbq beef sandwich. Bbq Beef was delicious, soft and flavorful! Pair with your choice of drink and it will be delicious. The wait time to receive our food was not long. Inside seating is available. Thank you for providing a pleasant experience during our visit. See you next time!

Came here at 1 pm as they do close at 3 pm to find the lines long and fast. People had already placed orders or already knew what they wanted when walking in. One of the owners sweetly suggested we try their BBQ combos as they marinate the chicken and beef. My friend and I each order a large combo of the BBQ and original and split. Both sandwiches were so flavorful served inside soft and chewy bread. Although toppings were similar, the original had more of a pesto based taste and was spicier in my opinion. The BBQ was served with roasted bell pepper and tomatoes which I am a sucker for and was my preferred as a result. Overall, the food was phenomenal and the staff were so kind. I will absolutely come again to this hidden gem and hope others do too! Now I understand how they are able to stay afloat with their limited hours and rightfully so.

Dry Chicken, whaaat? Hate to give this Chilean sandwich place only 3 stars but the barbecue chicken sandwich came with chicken so dry I had to fish most of it out. And flavorless, dismaying considering they claim to marinate their barbecued meats overnight. Everything else about this sandwich was superior, from the fresh baked bread to the spicy sauce, the avocado spread, tomato, cheese etc. Hopefully this was a one off culinary hiccup and not the norm.

This place is awesome! I've heard so many good things about Chacarero, but could never get there on time until recently. Got there at 1pm which was the sweet spot. The line was long but moved quickly! Almost everyone in line was a regular and did not waste any time. It's sandwich shop with a small section to sit and eat. The staff was so friendly. They knew it was my friend and I's first time and were super patient with us. They kindly recommended we get a combo and a bbq sandwich. I ordered the bbq while my friend got the combo. Both were so tasty and great portions. It was my first time eating a Chilean sandwich and it was an experience. The meat was fresh, the avocado spread was great, and I really enjoyed the crunchy green beans. I also asked for their homemade hot sauce which I recommend. I can't wait to go again!

The sandwiches at Chacarero are very solid, good ratios of chicken/beef and veggies to bread, my favorite is the BBQ combo. The prices have risen sharply over the past few years making it hard to justify going there and the dining area is small and noisy. I would recommend ordering as takeaway and enjoying in one of the near by parks.

One of the things I miss about working Downtown is my weekly sandwich from this place. Large chicken and beef combo with tomatoes, green beans, Muenster cheese, avocado paste, and hot sauce on freshly baked Chilean bread. This sandwich is single-handedly responsible for an 85% drop in office productivity between the hours of 1-3pm in a 1-mile radius.

Delicious homemade items including the bread. However, the menu is a bit confusing as it doesn't clearly explain the protein options and spice levels.

Visited Chacarero this week - it had been a long time. Staff was super friendly, but the dine-in seating was closed to customers. These sandwiches are best eaten warm, and by the time I got back to my office to take that first bite, the meat was luke warm and everything seemed a bit dry. Needed more avocado spread and seasoning, but they still make a really unique, tasty, and satisfying sandwich. At $15.18 for a large combo though, I won't be a regular like I used to be in DTX...

My first introduction…read moreended up being at a corporate event in Boston's Seaport district, where lunch arrived courtesy of one of the city's best-known sandwich shops. The catering was impressive. Before anyone even took a bite. Every half sandwich was individually wrapped and clearly labeled, with salads and sides neatly organized, making it easy for a large group to grab lunch without the usual catering chaos. The choices were wide and varied. We took our lunches upstairs to a rooftop seating area overlooking the Seaport, which made for a pretty great setting on a beautiful afternoon. I chose the Gobbler, and it lived up to the hype I've since read in other reviews. At first glance it sounds like a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich, but it's much more than that. The turkey was fresh and flavorful, and it was complemented by stuffing, cranberry sauce, spinach, pepper jack cheese, and just enough chipotle mayo to add an unexpected kick, without overwhelming everything else. It's one of those combinations that sounds busy on paper but comes together remarkably well. I spoke with several others over lunch, and they were equally impressed with their choices. That's always a good sign when you're feeding a crowd. It's one thing to make a great sandwich to order; it's another to deliver dozens of them catered while maintaining that level of quality. Since this was catered, I can't really comment on the restaurant itself. The service on the catering side, however, was evident in how thoughtfully everything was prepared and packaged, and the rooftop setting where we enjoyed lunch certainly didn't hurt. Needless to say, this won't be my last Sam LaGrassa's sandwich. I fully intend to visit the restaurant one of these days, and in the meantime I'll spend some time trying to recreate that Gobbler at home (maybe with sliced roasted chicken, but also with turkey when I have it). It was that good.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

You can order online, which is a big plus for me and it's very easy to customize items through the online ordering portal. I also happen to really like their iced coffee, too. The staff is so nice and it's Boston, low key all around. I'd like to officially put my bid in for the seasonal Korean "Good for the Seoul" BBQ sandwich to find a home on the permanent menu. It just ended in July and I am heartbroken. My taste buds are piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed to say the least. It was the sandwich that dreams are made of: soft (yet firm) seeded roll, thin fresh cooked chicken cutlets, cabbage slaw, pickled carrots, gochujang BBQ sauce and sriracha mayo. I stood in 85 humid sunny Boston heat for 20-25 min for it. Yes, it's that good. It's heaven on a bun! I've gotten the Drunken Parm, the Hogan, and the Caprese as well. All solid and delicious. I've never gotten one I didn't like. They are pleasant and open to customizing them as well. i.e. no lettuce, extra onion, BBQ on the side. I'm also not sure how, but Thomas the cashier remembers my name every time. That's SO impressive. I mean, I know I don't blend like most, but still, my name among all those people all week long at all the locations? I feel honoured to say the least. Seriously. I didn't get a picture of the BBQ sandwich because honestly, I had devoured it before realizing I should have. whoops. I did get a pic of the Hogan and will post that soon. The good: All of it. and I mean ALL OF IT. You can opt to get chicken, eggplant or one cutlet of each if you're feeling swanky. The location - this is good and bad. Good right by my building and bad that it moves down to Dewey Sq other days. BOO! The bad: The line. They open at 11:30am at Rowes Wharf and there is a line that starts to form at 11:15. I got there today at 11:20 and there were 8 people ahead of me. I might bring a lounge chair with me one of these days. The cost. I personally don't feel it's outrageous. It's a food truck in Boston on the Wharf and it's phenomenal. However, that said I think it's at the cap of what I would spend. I feel it's worth it for what you get. it's $15 for 1/2 and $20 for full sandwich. Pro Tip: psssst, get the full and take 1/2 home. Or eat it if you can't control yourself. I won't berate you for that. I don't consider it bad, but some do.. they cap you at 4 sandwiches per order. If you want more, get catering. And invite me over. Cheers!
