Sarbez is located right over the bridge of lions; a quick walk, bike, or car ride from downtown. It is building covered in original artwork and murals with a parking lot and street parking--- there is also a bike rack! Sarbez has an enclosed outdoor patio and an arcade in the back of the building. As of right now, they just serve dinner from late afternoon until 2:00 am; they also have a wide variety of craft and local beers, wines, kombucha, and much more. Sarbez' main menu item is grilled cheese, but they have a few other small items as well. There are some pre-made grilled cheeses or build your own style, which includes many different bread options, cheeses, and toppings to choose from. I've been here quite a bit so my order varies, but they have options for vegan and vegetarian customers which is a huge plus seeing there aren't many restaurants in Saint Augustine like this. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the grilled cheeses I've ordered, so I would give the food a 10/10. They have happy hour grilled cheese that's half price from 4:00 pm- 7:00 pm. The grilled cheeses are already pretty inexpensive (ranging from $5-$15), but I've gotten one for less than $4 during happy hour. There are also happy hour beverage deals that differ depending on the day. They switch up their beverage selection every once and a while so there's always something new to try. I like bringing my dad here when he comes to town because they carry Narragansett's, a beer from a brewery back home in Rhode Island! I'd give the beverage selection a 10/10 as well. Sarbez has live music most nights of the week so there's always something going on, whether it's a local band or open mic night. They have a relatively new arcade with air hockey, skeeball, a few pinball machines, and many more. There is also darts, a pool table, and a few other games inside. The employees are very attentive and you get served quickly at the bar even on busy nights. The whole inside of the building is adorned with original/local artwork, and many cool items you wouldn't normally consider when decorating a bar. One of the major reasons I love going to Sarbez is because I always feel safe here. The owner does not put up with any form of sexual harassment or allow any situations that would make someone feel uncomfortable. The overall atmosphere is excellent, 10/10. Sarbez has only disappointed me one time, and that's when my brother was visiting from out of town. He was so excited to try a wonderful grilled cheese I was always telling him about, and he has food allergies which often makes it hard for us to dine out. I assumed that since Sarbez is so good with vegan and vegetarian options that it would be a good place to take him, but unfortunately they weren't able to give us any of the ingredients in their bread and some of their other items. Hopefully, next time he comes down they'll have their ingredient lists so he can finally try some grilled cheese! read more
