Very good food. Very good service. Racquel was such a nice server. Kitchen was a bit slow. That's why they lost one star. Vibes were vibing. Italian music was playing.

Lamb ragu

We came here on a Tuesday evening and were sat right away, no wait, which was a nice surprise. They started us off with complimentary bruschetta, and our server was attentive and very friendly throughout the night. For entrees, my friend had the lamb ragu and the sea bass milanese. The lamb ragu was a bit gamey with a hint of nutmeg(?), and the sauce was on the sweeter side. The sea bass was a hit - moist, flavorful, and paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes. I ordered the spaghetti and chicken Parmesan to go. The spaghetti was much heavier on the pepper than I prefer, but still edible. The chicken Parmesan came with a chunky marinara and a side of spaghetti. It was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The ambiance, however, was lovely - cozy, and moody.

Chicken Marsala (special of the night)

The interior is the polar opposite of the former restaurant (Tucci's). While it was dark and mysterious, Sapori is light and airy and inviting. The complimentary bruschetta is reminiscent of Ti Amo's. Our server was friendly and gave us time to decide on our meal. We weren't rushed at all. I started with the Sapori salad and it was delicious. The dressing reminded me of Tucci's lemonata vinaigrette. I went with a special, the Chicken Marsala. It was delicious. The baby carrots on the side had a smoky taste that complimented the rich sauce well. Chicken Piccata and the penne with vodka sauce rounded out our table. The only thing that wasn't five stars was the bread sticks. They were a bit pastry like but the sauce was good. I would return! Aall of the staff was friendly and inviting. (The take Yelp reservations, too.)

Very light and lemony Caesar and a delicious veal Parmesan. We hadn't been to Sapori before but were really, really impressed with both food and reasonable price point. I also loved that they had some NA wine options!!

Lamb rigatoni

Friend and I went tonight after we decided on pasta. This place is phenomenal, you must go. The lamb and rigatoni are as made perfectly. The cheesy sourdough bread was so good we didn't have enough room for our dinner. My friend chicken Parmesan was hand breaded, flavorful and tender. Ambiance is warm and cozy and stayed busy the entire time. Was a treat to meet the sweet owner. Will above back to try other meals that peaked my interest.

Their seasonal aperol spritz!

This was our second visit to Sapori before JBros at the BOK, and it did not disappoint! Libby has waited on us both times, and she's been phenomenal. She's yet to miss with a drink recommendation. The pumpkin spice espresso martini was so good... and honestly, dangerously smooth. Highly recommend trying it while it's in season! We've sat both outside and inside. Outdoor seating is perfect for people-watching on Cherry Street, but we also love the cozy, relaxed vibe inside the restaurant. The pumpkin ravioli was my favorite seasonal dish. Rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back for it before the season ends. Sapori has officially made it into our Italian restaurant rotation.

Steak Diane cooked by Chef Angela

I highly recommend Sapori. Great food and service in a classy, comfortable space with outside seating to dine. So cool. Just had the Steak Diane by Chef Angela, best one I've ever had.

The pizza here is not good. More like a Totino's pizza. No wonder I haven't heard a single person mention this place. Tucci's was better!

We ordered 2 pizzas, and a salad with sardines and I couldn't believe how flavorful the Caesar salad was. That combined with the sardines was the perfect bite. Much like Ava June, everything is a little funky here--not in a bad way, just different and unique. We started with cocktails; she had her usual Old Fashioned, but ordered it as a "normal", with Makers Mark, I had a glass of chardonnay (subtotal $28). She put her Makers Mark Old Fashioned near the top of the best in town ($2 extra for Makers??). We frequently split meals, so decided to share a Little Gems salad, which was VERY good. There are only a few salads in town that I like as it's just not my thing, but this one was super tasty. For our pizza we went with the limited edition Cubano as I love a good Cuban sandwich and have a tomato allergy. They did a good job of converting a sandwich to a pizza, though I thought the toppings were a little sparse for $22. I would have preferred that the pickles have been chopped into something smaller than the thick slices it came with (so it LOOKED beautiful). The best part for me is that they offer a fresh-made GLUTEN-FREE rosemary dough!!!! It was absolutely THE BEST gluten-free crust I've ever experienced hands down. My wife said that she would order it even though it's g-f. The vibe was just good, pretty crowded with a mix of generations. The space is fairly small and tight, so be prepared for the possibility of sharing a table. So if you followed the math above (which should be easy if you knew me!) it was $65 plus tax and tip, so $100 for a pizza and salad dinner.... Would I go back?? I wouldn't rule it out given the fantastic gluten-free crust, but would likely consider somewhere else that I consider a better value before beating a path back to Lofi.

I enjoyed the way I open the pizza box & the pizza is just about completely covered in arugula to the point you can only see the crust. Very filling & has me curious about the other vegan friendly pizzas, like the Wise Guy, which has grilled cauliflower. I placed an order over the phone (it was NFL Sunday). The individual who took my order over the phone was super nice & just as nice when I came to pick up my order. I ordered closely after they opened, which was a good time because when I'm in the area, I usually see a good number of people inside. I'll be back, way too many pizzas to choose from.

Appetizer Lemon Pesto Shrimp Very great combination between the richness of the pesto and tangy goat cheese, it complements the shrimp very well. It also just a great dip for the pizza points. I went with a slice, and it was straight-up that classic NYC-style pizza. Big, thin slice that you can actually fold, with a crust that had just the right amount of crisp on the outside but still soft and chewy. It wasn't floppy or soggy either, which I appreciate. The sauce had a nice, slightly sweet tomato flavor, and the cheese was melted perfectly stretchy and not overly greasy. The toppings were solid too. It had a good mix on there meats and veggiesand they didn't go overboard, so every bite felt balanced instead of overloaded. You could actually taste everything instead of it just blending into one thing. The place itself was clean, which always matters, and they had two different seating areas so you've got options if you want to sit and eat instead of just grabbing it to go. The service was great as well. Overall, it was a really good slice. Nothing crazy fancy, just a legit, well-made NYC-style supreme done right. Definitely a spot I'd go back to.
