Extremely helpful service! Sam was really cool and personable in his interactions! Had a good convo with him while he was fixing up my laptop and he went above and beyond to attempt to diagnose it, and gave honest suggestions for proper care and maintenance! Highly recommend. read more

I had a macbook pro that was running very slow and sluggish after a new hard drive installation. I wasn't sure what the issue was, but from what I was reading online, it could've been many things. I found Sam by looking for computer repairs on CL, called him up and explained my situation and he told me to come by. I arrived and he started working immediately, and explained how he had to run a few tests before figuring out what was wrong with it - the hard drive and wires were fine. After some time of trail and error, everything was working (he had to replace the RAM). Really like Sam, because he is honest and I was able to watch everything he did and that is really important to me as a customer to be able to see what it is he was doing. His prices are extremely competitive!! I will be back, thanks again Sam. read more

Sam is awesome! I have an old 2008 iMac that I love, but was running really slow. I don't use Yelp much, but took a chance on Sam because of the great reviews. I was not disappointed. Sam made my computer like new! Not only did he fix my problem quickly and at a reasonable price, he also provided phone support a month later when I needed help to transfer files from my old hard drive. Service like that is rare today. Thanks so much, Sam! I will definitely call you for my future computer repair and I gladly recommend you, too! read more

Sam is the smartest and the fastest yet. I felt comfortable and projects were quick and effective. Nice guy!

I tried calling a couple times during business hours but did not receive an answer. So, I left a voicemail hoping that I would get a response. It's been almost a week now and still did not get a call back. read more

My computer knowledge is zilch. Sam diagnosed the problem, replaced the hard drive, returned in 2 days, and helped me understand and navigate through the new system. Top Notch. read more

I had problems with two computers in my office. One completely crashed. The other had issues with power and I couldn't remember the admin password. I called and was answered by Sam instead of an answering machine. He was really professional in asking me what the problem was, quoting a few estimates based on best and worst case scenarios for the computer repair and setting an appointment and I was especially thankful that he wasn't like a pushy salesman since I was already stressed about possibly losing my work files as well as having two computers down. On the repair day, he kept me updated on his status and explained to me what was going on. He was quick about his work and pretty quiet and unobtrusive to the work environment. In the end, he was able to recover all of my data, reset the admin password for the second computer and fixed my power issue with it. And his price was not ridiculous. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again for future issues since he is local, quick, and effective. Thanks, Sam! read more

It's a magic story that my computer got repaired well within one hour, not because he is a magician, because he is knowledgeable and capable. I thought my computer will be in "game over" situation, I didn't like to save all files and reinstall the operating system. My wife helped me to find a expert from yelp. He is a pro, he just found the specific problems and gave a right shot. I really appreciate his help! read more

Sam came to my home within a few hours of my contacting him about a virus my computer contracted. He arrived on Super Bowl SUNDAY to get the job done, at a very, very reasonable rate. Sam was aware of the specific virus and knew what to do to rid my computer of. He stayed as long as the job took; he's very professional, friendly, easy to talk with and can explain in a language that those of us who aren't as technical can understand. I have since needed his assistance on another occasion when my computer picked up the same virus that I needed his assistance for in the first place. Yet again, he was able to save all of my important photos, emails and notes, re-install a new system and troubleshoot any other difficulties I have had. He was professional, friendly and quick to complete the things I needed to have repaired. His rates are affordable, he doesn't price-gouge like Best Buy or other computer repair companies I have dealt with in the past, and he works with ease and intelligence. If I ever need help, he will be the ONLY one I call!! read more

Usually, I'm pretty skeptical of services found on Craigslist, but I took a chance with Sam to help recover data on a crashed hard drive and was more than satisfied at the outcome. I had gone to Best Buy first before I found Sam to see if they could recover my crashed hard drive and my business invoicing program and they gave up after having the computer for a couple of week. Then I found Sam and dropped the system off and he took care of everything within a couple of days. Not only did he recover the data and restore my invoicing system, but did it for a fraction that a big computer store would have charged. He did what a big computer store couldn't do. Since then I've used Sam a few times and I'm always satisfied with the outcome and the price. I wouldn't bring my computers, or trust my business data with anyone else. I brought my laptop to the guys house because he wasn't working in the store on the weekend two months ago. I took it there because I had a virus so he fixed it and everything was great but I am 300% sure he purposely messed with my laptop. It turns on in the middle of the night for no reason and the fan is so loud I literally cannot use my laptop in public. He definitely did something to my laptop probably hoping I'd come back for more business. I had to buy a new laptop because it was not worth the money to fix. COMPLETELY UNTRUSTWORTHY! read more

dudes real shady on how he does things so becareful. came over to my house, i told him either power supply or mobo is bad. didnt fix neighter and charged me 60 cause he "diagnoised" the problem. Edit: tech rock stars does diagnostics for free, and I just googled that in 2 mins. And we agreed on a time you didn't show up for TWO times and hours late. So tell me do ppl pay you to be late and not fix shit? I found other reviews like this after I paid this guy. Yea buddy, your still shady. 2nd edit: Sam, they are not lies, you were not late mins, you took over 2 hours. Anyone reading this can check out other reviews. Cause I'm not the only one. And btw I did not thank you on your way out. And frankly i shoulda done more research, but moving on I just want people to know what you are running. That what these are, reviews. Hopefully less ppl get jipped. read more

Last night I had a dream about a black puma. It was friendly and I was petting it until it was startled by some outside source. At that moment, I was unsure whether it would attack me. I awoke abruptly and went to my computer for fun to google the symbolism of "black puma" within dream interpretation. I clicked on a link and was suddenly attacked by a nasty virus with an audio warning and a prompt for me to call "Microsoft". Right... I tried shutting down and powering up but the virus kept directing me back to this malicious site. Enter Sam, puma hunter and computer expert extraordinaire. Sam met me at the house and was able to resolve my computer issue within minutes! He charged a very reasonable fee. I will rely on Sam for all my future computer needs. He saved the day and a possibly disastrous weekend. As a writer, I need access to my computer! Thanks Sam. read more

Sam is a cool guy. He drove out to meet me at a location of my choice, fixed my computer while I studied and made small talk. All in all, it was a good experience. My laptop had a harddrive issue and couldn't even start up due to all types of malware. Sam worked his magic and now my computer is back in working condition. In fact, I'm writing this review on my computer right now. Be warned, his services are a bit expensive. The entire experience cost me $153, $53 for the parts that Sam told me to buy and $100 for Sam's services. read more

Sam spent three hours in my office to make sure all my computer problems are fixed (Flat Rate!!!!)

Sam's Computer Repair was a godsend. My wife's Macbook Pro hard drive failed to work this last Friday. We were desperate to find someone who could save her files and repair the computer quickly with care and integrity. Luckily, we found Sam's Computer Repair! I examined the reviews to get a sense of Sam's work. After looking at the posted reviews I knew this was our guy! I called and he took us in immediately. He quoted us a very fair price and had our computer running as it was brand new. All our documents, photos, and videos were retrieved. Our computer was running as well as the day we received it. Sam will be our person for any computer repair. read more

Sam actually just left my house 10 min ago as I am writing the review. I found Sam on yelp with bunch of good reviews, and he sounded like he knows what he's doing perfectly when I called for a quote. He was able to come to my house the day after I called. He actually offered to come because it might cause more damage when transporting my desktop. He replaced a bad hard drive and installed windows 7 for me. It took a little bit longer than he expected because my computer wouldn't boot with windows 8 disk =/ Overall, he did a really good job. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends! Thanks Sam! read more

I needed a quick repair to my computer after a nearby lightning strike fried a component. (Yes, I used a surge protector). Sam had it working and back to me the same day. It appears to me that many of those who have left him poor reviews seemed to make judgments without even having met him or had him do a job. read more

I called Sam this morning because my computer could not load to the login page and the screen kept blanking. He came to my house to check out my computer after an hour. Sam did an amazing job resurrecting both my Mac desktop and my MacBook, so slowed down with age, stuff, iTunes, iPhotos and more that they were almost inoperable. Craigslist has gotten iffy these days so I went with trepidation. Never the less, Sam took care of EVERYTHING! And I do mean everything. Both computers are running great, fast and smooth....I am very grateful. It's such a drag when folks talk to you with all that computer mumbo jumbo, I simply go cross eyed! Sam kept it simple, inexpensive and friendly! read more

Sam saved my life! I had a computer issue that came up & I thought it had died-right in the middle of a stressful time for me. I found Sam through Thumbtack and checked reviews on Yelp. I work from home and the other morning my laptop just decided to die. In a panic I searched Yelp and found Sam and another local computer repair store. I called Sam and left a voicemail. I went to the local computer store just in case and they wanted to keep my laptop for 24 hrs. Thank goodness I didn't agree and left with my comp. On my way home Sam called me and was able to diagnose the issue which just the description I gave him over the phone. He was upfront about costs and said he could be over early the next morning. That was great with me! Two hours later he calls me back and says he was able to get the part my computer needed and would be able to fit me in that day. He was over in an hour and we was able to fix my computer, retrieve files I thought I had lost, AND took a look at a separate IP issue I was having. He was really nice and having someone being able to come to my home made it so much easier. I can't recommend him enough! read more

My computer was pretty much dead and I was ready to bury it figuring the cost to fix it would amount to the same as buying a new one I couldn't afford (well, at least a desktop). Though Sam wasn't able to retrieve my "favorites" folder, which is where I had all my main files; he exchanged my ka-put hard drive for a new one and got my computer up and running beautifully on a new, updated operating system. All for $120. I'm happy =D He even answered a question I'd had after calling him a few days later, and gave me guidance that helped resolve it. And I've also learned the value of saving my files in Dropbox or something similar! read more

Sam is someone who wants to get the job done and be a true friend to the people. He is patient, professional, and cares. Even though the job was more complex than we both expected, he still charged me the same and even showed me how to use the new computer programs I was unfamiliar with. He even helped refer me to some discount software for my business/personal needs. He didn't need to do all that, but he has what Donald Trump calls the wow factor - underpromise and over-deliver! read more
