I have been to multiple Honda locations, specifically the service centers, and the routine has always been to drive up, wait in your car, and somebody will come up to you when they are available and let you know when to leave the car with them. I assumed it would be the same here, especially since when I drove up there was no sign that said 'go inside!' Or anything. I waited 25 minutes with no acknowledgment and multiple employees walked around my car completely ignoring me. After maybe two people had drove up after me and got serviced I thought maybe I'm supposed to go inside, so I did and finally someone was able to tell me that you have to go inside to be serviced. When I called them this same morning they said I don't need an appointment and to just come in, and so I did, but after I sat and waited to be addressed time had been lost and they told me I had to come in the next day instead because there's wasn't anymore time. I'm definitely a bit annoyed and I wish they had better communication because I don't just live down the street so I wasted some time and gas to come here. Also, they are very pushy with expensive services that you didn't ask for, definitely trying to upsell a little too much. We will not return to this location read more

I visited or called 8 different dealerships from Fairfield to Salinas looking for a Honda Civic, and the amount of BS I got from all of them except Salinas Honda was amazing. Everyone else insisted that they simply had to charge $2000 for floor mats or $1300 for a little plastic thing to put under the door handle and of course $2500 for a system to track all our movements. Sleazy. But Omar Rocha of Salinas Honda offered a fair price quickly and didn't lard it up with extras. Wouldn't recommend this company for any cars. Jim and has team have been ripping people off since new ownership. Jim knows these have something wrong with it yet they still try to clear the codes to get it out of their inventory and they don't disclose everything about the vehicles history. Jim and his people try to pressure you into buying a vehicle and then to pressure you with another large warrant fee that ranges from $3,000-$5,000, they stated you must purchase it so you can bring it back whenever something is wrong. I'm a young adult that's barely in their 20s so I definitely couldn't afford another $3,000 after I had just spent over $10,000+. These guys give you the run around for everything. Hopped on here to write a different review and finally came back to a 2017 draft about Sam Linder Honda. I see that Eddie and some of the other guys who were involved in my car-buying experience are no longer listed as staff, but Mike Alvarez is, and after reading a few reviews about crappy service and potential fraud, I felt obligated to restart my review of my experience. Long story short, Eddie sold me a car--he was nice, but a few things threw me off, namely going to the back to run my credit and info, and seeming surprised that it was excellent. I bought the car, anyhow, as I was over shopping. I get to Mike, and he's ready to do his thing--upsell and squeeze out every dime he can. Gap insurance, warranties, accessories, loan terms, etc. I went in prepared to say "no" to it all...because, you should say no to it ALL--walk away with the warranty your car comes with, and your insurance, that's all you need! I wanted to pay for the accessories upfront to avoid paying interest on them -- he blew/waved that off and didn't let me. I didn't want the dent/paint repair option; he wouldn't stop discussing it and kept pushing it as a good thing to have for not that much more, pushed the gap insurance as necessary (but we know from the lawsuit that it was a sham). I got all of it...but hated myself for it--he just wouldn't let it go. Due to a promo and my excellent credit, I went in with 0.9% APR in mind--I qualified, but as I thought aloud about my focus on paying off my student loans, Mike started decreasing my monthly payments as if doing me a favor. I didn't NEED this done, but was being conservative with financial goals in mind. First-time car buyer--he didn't mention that the promo only applied to the 3-year term, and I wasn't thinking of how decreasing the monthly payment by a small sum meant he was increasing my loan term by years, and thus the APR (1.9%). I didn't find out by how long until later. I immediately started focusing on paying it off early, and did. They had my car delivered from the Bay to add the accessories. I was told to pick up my car at a certain time, but waited MUCH longer, and the vibe was weird. I couldn't quite figure it out, but by the time I got my car, I was so frustrated and ready to leave. I walked around the car with Eddie--he was acting anxious--but didn't carefully comb over as closely as I should have. It looked fine. I drove off and left. Weeks later, I find very subtle, inexplicable damage to my brand-new car--a subtle dent and some scratches. I imagined every situation in which that damage may have occurred, even blaming myself, but was 100% sure I hadn't done it--I was the sole driver. It looked like someone scraped the car while turning into a place, or another car backed in near it and scraped the side. After figuring out my brand new paint and dent repair wouldn't cover it, I went back to the dealership to cancel it. Every person involved in my purchase, from Eddie to the guys in finance, ignored and avoided me, very deliberately. Since I was on the sales lot, I was approached by others, but when I let them know what I needed, they went to the back and returned to tell me someone would be out. That whole wait--over an hour or 2--they kept walking out, pretending not to see and overlooking me, and as if they were on their phones. It was so cartoonish and weird. Then, when Eddie inadvertently ran into my mom, who was with me during my purchase, she was walking the lot, he started acting strange--jumpy and avoidant--couldn't get away fast enough. Something was off--it further heightened my suspicion that my car was damaged there. I'm not a confrontational person, nor did I use profanity often, but I had to start raising my voice and cussing for EVERYONE to all of a sudden be available. Mike and this other weirdo who worked back there magically saw me and were ready to make nice. No customers back there--they weren't busy--it took one minute to sign the PAPER to cancel all the extras I didn't ask for. No eye contact, weird conciliatory energy--much different from before. Something was not right...I should have worked harder to prove it. It's been years--and this review isn't nearly as short as I implied it would be--but if you take nothing else from this, heed this advice.: Don't buy the extras! Don't be swayed to do anything you're not comfortable with--leave, mull it over, and return with a clear head, if you have to. Learn about loan terms (years to repay loans and how that affects your APR). Negotiate and shop around until you get what you want. And lastly, but certainly not least, INSPECT THE HECK out of your vehicle from ALL ANGLES before purchasing and before driving off-- get up close and personal, take your time, let the sunlight hit it, put a flashlight up to it, and if you see anything, ANYTHING wrong, demand that it be fixed or leave. Trust only your gut--they are not your friends! This experience completely ruined car shopping for me. read more

I was sent a written quote with the exact price for a one-pay lease and confirmed it nearly ten times with multiple people (Jim & Andre) -- including right before I drove over 3 hours to get there. Every single time, I was told this was the final price. Even when I walked in the door, I made sure to get explicit confirmation from the salesman about the exact quote. Then comes the "manager" Alex who was EXTREMELY rude, arrogant, and condescending. He suddenly claimed "the deal didn't exist" and tried to charge me over $1,000 more than the written quote I had in hand. When we were rightfully furious about wasting our time and being lied to, he shrugged and said there was "nothing he could do," even though it was his dealership that gave the quote and confirmed it repeatedly. He even told us we "shouldn't trust what the salespeople say" -- which is insane considering the quote and confirmations were in writing from his team. And here's the kicker: Alex ultimately refused to sell us the car at all because he was afraid we'd give the dealership a bad survey score. So they lied, wasted hours of our time, tried to scam us, and then turned us away entirely because they didn't want to be held accountable. This dealership operates in bad faith. It feels like a bait-and-switch scam run by people who have zero integrity or respect for customers. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I've been coming to this Honda dealer for years. Since the dealer changed owners it has gotten worse. I tried to communicate this to the manager but did not receive a call back after leaving a message. So now Yelp gets to hear about it. 1. Refer to the photo I attached. I took my car to them for an oil change. This time around I changed it myself. I've been working on cars and motorcycles for over 20 years. The service tech at Honda put the oil filter on so tight I had to almost destroy it to get it off. This is a sign that whoever did the oil change does not have experience. Hand tighten! I am certain this filter was tightened with a wrench. I've never had one this tight in my life. 2. The dealer is now charging a surcharge when using a credit card. The old owner did not do this. What happened to the cost of doing business?But now everything is passed on to the customer. 3. I called to speak with the manager of the service department. I was told he was at lunch and to leave a message. I did that and never received a call back. This proves to me that improving things is not a priority. Talked to a sales rep at salinas Honda that assured me to leave Seaside and drive to Salinas that his manager John hated to lose sales to Seaside. Wasted about 4 hrs that day negotiating; we had a trade in car. John the manager gave me a good deal on the car and the trade in; it was very late and I had to leave for my dads bday celebration but I had Johns word on the deal. Came back two days later when I said I was going to come back. No john but his boss whos name I dont remember was there; tried to change tbe deal on me by giving me almost a third of tbe price for my trade in value. Thurs. 22 September, 2022 I decided on trading in my Toyota RAV4 today for a Honda Accord. I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle with 20,000 miles on it. The car is completely loaded and comes equipped with all the latest safety features. I got a decent trade in for my Toyota although I'm sure had I sold it myself would have gotten more. The salesman name Julian was friendly and understanding of what I was expecting and wanting. He was not pushy and listened to what I was saying. The finance manager named PJ was also outstanding. He explained everything about my maintenance and all the paperwork I signed. He also explained the warranty in depth and made sure I understood everything clearly. Now I just have to get use to all the huge screens and buttons, etc. It's as if I am in the cockpit of a plane. My name is sergio currently employed by SVF and I gotta say, I am really disappointed with DGDG Honda. I went there with my friend as a witness and to help him of course that was looking to get a new car with a possibly good deal. At the end of the deal, we had all agreed upon a final out the door number. Afterwards once everything was settled. We discovered a mark up of $4K that was never once mentioned to us along with the $3200 hidden fees. This Honda HR-V turned out to be roughly $34k when he received his bill with his "discounted" price. The salesman should be ashamed for how he performed his duty.
