Great experience from the waiting room to the staff all around nice shop! Will be coming back!

Always good customer service. Very helpful. knowledgeable. Always recommended. Decent pricing. Fast service.

Prices are great. Diagnostics was quite a bit less than most shops I looked at. Honest and friendly mechanics z

Came in for an AC recharge service and waited in their waiting room. They offered me some complimentary coffee or water. When it came to my car, they were very informative and honest. They noticed the previous mechanic's fault causing me to have this service in the first place. They gave me good first impression of their business and professionalism. Price was reasonable compared to dealership pricing. Definitely would go back for other services. read more

Listen, I like to write reviews for both great and bad services and customer care. When It comes to Gomez Auto Repair, I only have great things to tell you. Steven and Richardo are the most honest repair shop front end managers you can meet. You might not like the answer, but it's the truth and the best they can possibly do. I have been a regular customer for three years now. Recently, I was low on oil and strapped for cash for a regularly scheduled oil change. But stupid me overfilled it. The check engine came on. After calling Steven, he said Paul, check if you overfilled it. Sure as shoot. I HAD. He said clear the check engine light by undoing the negative of the battery and go get an oil change. ZIP ZAP ZOOP. BACK TO NORMAL. Any place else would have milked you. These guys pride themselves on integrity and customer service. That is why I will never go any place else for my truck maintenance. You would be blessed to do business with Gomez Auto Care read more

Great value and quick friendly availability offered right away for service that was needed.

Came in to Gomez with a laundry list of things to fix on my 2017 civic. They fixed my AC, fixed a broken window that would not go up and down, fixed a leak in my trunk, replaced band that I didn't know needed replacing and got my smog. I was consulted about each thing done and felt the communication was great! It feels good knowing I have a mechanic that's honest and fair I can go to when I need work done. Thankful for honest places like this that do good work and get folks back on road without headache or robbing them. As long as I'm in Salinas I'll be going back here with all my families vehicales . read more

Great service at a good price! Battery change and smog check. Friendly, fast, above and beyond.

These guys are EXTREMELY professional. They took great care of my car and got me back on the road the day after I dropped it off. I had bad fuel injectors and they had to take apart the whole front end to change them out. Steven was the service advisor and kept me up to date on my car every step of the way. I was really impressed with the turn around time. Most other shops will make you wait for weeks while they fix a car. If you need your car repaired in Salinas, you can't do better than these guys. read more

Richard was great! they all were very fast and efficient.. oil change took about 30 mins:)

Ask for Neto!!! The price & customer service was exceptional!!! Y'all getting your car serviced is hella expensive AF! Especially in the Bay Area. As many of you know, there are only a few places I go to get my car serviced for major repairs. Oil changes? Depends if I'm in a pinch, and even for that, I have like 5 places I rotate between. Point being I'm picky. So I called around to a few of my normal places to see how much they would charge for back brakes, brake pads, whatever else goes into changing brakes. I also needed an oil change, and a smog. Now, most auto body shops don't include the smog. And most smog places only specializes in smog in the Bay Area. So my over all total I was quoted was over $615. That was not including the smog. So mind you, my total was going to be more than $750 for sure. I started looking into local places in Salinas to get a quote, because that's where My Grumpy White Man lives. I only called places that have the highest Yelp reviews. I happened to call this place, and spoke to Neto. He quoted me originally $385 for the oil change, brakes, parts, labor taxes. I almost spat out my coffee. I'm like excuse me? Repeat that number one more time?! That was almost 50% off of what I was quoted from my normal places. Since they were saving me that much money, it was worth the 1 hour drive to get my car serviced, regardless of my Grumpy White guy lives here. It's also my first time doing smog. I tend to trade the car in before I do. So they smog checked me, I got out paying only $433.49! I need to come back here, and get my car serviced again. I'm going to have to get Grumpy to get his car serviced here too. Thank you Neto & Gomez auto body shop! read more

I submitted a request for a diagnostic estimate for my 2010 Subaru Outback on 9/30/25 and I received a very prompt response from Richard at Gomez Auto Repair. Pricing is fair and Gomez Auto Repair did a complete diagnostic. They checked everything on my car and provided the info I needed to choose the best course of action. Thanks Gomez Auto Repair! read more

This is my first time coming to Gomez Auto Repair. Used to live in the Bay Area and I was used to the fast pace of coming in and out but I loved the waiting lounge and the complimentary coffee. Perks to it was that they have a restroom that is clean and many seats to sit on while you wait. Stephen so friendly and friendliness goes a long way with me, shows me that he cares about the customers. On the other hand, this is my friend's family own business and I had not had the chance to come and get my car oil change done here. However, the friendly environment and well done job that Gomez Auto Repair has, is an honest and true representation of this family business. read more

Great shop and great people. Today, my daughter was driving around in this terrible storm that is bearing down on all of us today, 60 miles from home. Bam - suddenly a dragging sound. Apparently the other shop's technicians failed to secure the plastic shield under the engine and a puddle pulled it away from the body and suddenly it was loudly dragging along the asphalt. Help! She drove into this very nice looking shop and explained that her car was making this terrible noise. By this time, the asphalt had destroyed so much of the part that it could no longer be re-attached by the original features. They fabricated a repair that would get her back home safely so that she could have the piece replaced. They could have easily charged whatever they wanted - especially to a young professional woman that doesn't know much about cars. Their charge - $25. This is a place that values the safety of those people that they have just met......something that you can't say in general about car repair places. Dad says CHECK IT OUT and [thumbs up] Shout out to Steven - thanks for taking care of my only daughter :-) read more

While driving up from LA, my car was fine until I got off the exit for my dad's in Salinas. Suddenly the car started making a weird noise and the oil light flashed when I would brake or accelerate. Luckily I was only a mile from dad's. We were in town for only 36 hours for a wedding and this was on a Friday evening, right as all shops were closing, so I was panicked. I called Gomez Auto Repair and told Stephen the situation. He said bring it in now and I will prioritize your car ASAP. I was there in 10 mins and only had a min to chat as we were racing to the rehearsal dinner. I basically had to throw him the keys as I was running in and out I was so late. Did they prioritize me? ABSOLUTELY! We were not even back to my dad's when he sent pics and called telling me there was a hole in my oil filter (must've hit a rock or something on the off-ramp) and that as long as there was no internal damage from driving a couple miles with basically no oil, he could get it all cleaned up and repaired for me by 9am the next morning. Wow! That's exactly what happened. I called at 9 the next morning as told and was told to come on down, it was ready. They were short-staffed, but still got this done for me immediately as promised. Stephen knew how desperate I was and that I had to leave the next morning. If this was a dishonest operation (like so many repair shops) they could have run up the bill saying it was God knows what and taken advantage of the situation. Not so. Instead, they went out of there way to expedite my car, were extremely kind, beyond accommodating and went out of their way to keep the costs down. Stephen even messaged me to make sure I got back home to LA okay. This is what you call exemplary customer service. Take your car here folks. If I lived in Salinas, I wouldn't take it anywhere else for life. read more

This is my second oil change at Gomez Auto Repair. I still give them a 5-star rating. I live in the Bay Area. When I need an oil change, I time it for when I'm visiting Salinas. Great service and a great oil product! read more

I called in on a Friday afternoon and was able to bring my car in 5 min later. Got my brakes and rotors changed in just 2 hours. I thought i really trusted these folks , i took my vehicle in because of a check engine light. The total was $6,999 for the autopart and service. I did it my self only costed 89$ and the replace. ,,, Soy Hispano y no se vale que se aprovechen de la jente. read more

I have been taking my vehicles here exclusively since I found them. Trustworthy personable staff inform me of every step and updates of repairs. When repairs are complete, the work is always high quality at a fair price. I have had multiple services ranging from wheel bearings to engine replacement preformed and all were up to my expectations. I speak with Neto Torres and he never disappoints, going as far as making calls to update me on progress past shop hours because my work puts me out of signal range. I would recommend speaking with him if you are looking for a friendly, trustworthy, and informative face. I won't be taking my vehicles anywhere else. read more

This company is amazing and quick. My car was unable to drive faster than 20 miles . I will updat in a month

They worked on my 1998 GMC k1500 after a check engine light came on. Turned out the timing in the distributor was off. They were able to fix my problem right away the same day. Great customer service too! read more

This was my first time visiting Gomez Auto Repair for a leak in my ac. Neto was the one who took my call and assisted me in the office. He made my visit so smooth and looked out for my best interest. Although they could help me and fix the issue they wanted to save me a little bit of money and advised me to see my dealer because there is warranty on my condenser which had the leak. They are very trustworthy and efficient. I'd highly recommend seeing them for any of your cars issues and ask for Neto! read more

I called this place on a Friday morning asking if they could fix my no start issue on my 2004 corolla. I had called many mechanics before I found Gomez Auto Repair and I'm honestly glad the other places couldn't take in my car. I received the best service here at this shop! I had to tow my car from Marina to Salinas and I wasn't able to get it in the shop until 4:20 and they still helped me even after letting me know they close at 5. I had to leave my car overnight but they fixed it and we're able to give me my car back on that Saturday at like 11am! Talk about great service!! As a women it's really hard to find a place that's trustworthy and that has great service because most places will up charge just because you're a female!! I definitely didn't get that vibe here and honestly felt like I was dropping off my car to family. Steven and Fernando helped me get everything situated and I'm so glad I found this shop. I'll definitely be coming back to do my regular maintenance here as I know my car will be in good hands. Also Richard who was on the phone was super nice and had great costumer service! I appreciate this whole team thank you! read more

So I reached out to a few shops and Gomez Auto Repair was quick to respond and offer a good rate for labor. I have a set of rear brakes and rotors and needed a shop to take care of it for me. GARBAGE SHOP, GARBAGE SERVICE AND GARBAGE WORKERS/ OWNER. My mother a not well versed woman in car mechanic work, took her SUV because a valve kept making the check engine come on. I had changed it a few times before she decided to take it to a shop. She brought it here because it was a shop with decent rating that was down the street from where we lived. The worst mistake my mom made was to take it to this GARBAGE shop. They told her we put a cheap part and that if they fixed it, it would not pop again. Gave us a 90 day insurance on it. Not even 30 days later it popped again. No problem we took it back and they said they would take a look. Keep in mind they had promised to fix the issue the first time around and if not they would be liable to fix it. My mother took it in. She called a few days after the drop off to see if it was ready and the moron said they needed to open the car to check for certain things. They ended up doing the work and saying that the timing belt was shot and it needed a new one. They told my mother over the phone the timing belt was completely broken. Which if you know anything about cars you would know the car wouldn't run if that was the case. Yet we had been driving it for a week with the engine light on. My father and mother both went because at this point my father knew they were just scamming my mother. Once we got there they wanted to charge us 700$ for doing nothing. Once my father didn't back down and showed them who the real man was, they backed down like cowards. We didn't pay a thing. The whole convo took about 30 mins. After my parents got the car back they decided to drive to Napa to get a code read. In the beginning before she took the car to a shop it only showed one code for the valve. This time it gave 11 codes, 11 CODES. These cowards disconnected the hoses and left the engine open. We assume this was done as the coward owner was being put in his place. Just GARBAGE PEOPLE, SCUM OF THIS EARTH. They don't have a clue of what they are doing. They guess what the problem is and if it doesn't work, it's at the customers expense. Or they are just scammers. I believe these people are SCAMMERS. I would stay away, FAR AWAY from this dump. GARBAGE WORK, SCAMMERS THAT DESERVE TO ROT. Thank you read more

First off, Stephen makes it seem like you've known him for decades when you make that first step inside the shop office. Super friendly dude, with great customer service. Long story short my car wasn't passing smog, and without Stephen and Adan help they saved me $1200 or more from buying a brand new catalytic converter for my 325i. They both set me up with a drive cycle follow procedures. Went back the following week to Gomez Auto Repair for the smog and it was a pass. This repair shop would have to be the best one in town for having great customer and price which I consider it to be an A+. I would chose Gomez Auto Repair rather than any other shop in town in any given day. This was all done without an appointment. read more
