40 dollars for a salad and soup I expected better service. Never been to one of these places and it was clear when we walked in, looking around lost and trying to figure it out while three employees just stood around talking. The options were nice but the lettuce was turning brown for the romaine and the iceberg. The soup was disgusting and I love soup. The other soup my husband said was cold. It's clear from the other reviews the owner does not care about their reviews and that's sad because this place could thrive under better management. They were out of ranch and I told the girl and she not only dropped the top while filling it but then touched all over the spout, never washed it and then tried to serve it. Why am I wearing gloves if the practice is so lose for sanitation and cleanliness. She then proceeded to talk crap about that to another girl working there and when I asked her why she was talking about me she turned red and stated she was explaining what happened. This is specific for Covington Salad Station* This Salad Station reigns supreme. I have been to every other location, but this one stands out from the rest. Now let me be clear.. I have never had a bad salad at ANY location, but the quality of ingredients and friendly atmosphere stand out. As far as service, I am always greeted and checked out in a timely manner. Good and Bad. When they are good the food is fresh and the selection very large. When they are bad the lettuce is brown as well as the avocado, the carrots and a few other items. Just went there this weekend and the food was great but about three weeks ago we reached for a tray and it had old food on it. We pointed it out and the person working there cleaned only the top tray in a stack of more than 20. We really like the salads so we continue to go there unless the bad days become more frequent. No other places where you can build your own salad but if we think the food isn't fresh or the trays not clean we will have to find another restaurant. read more

Let's talk about common sense ! Which clearly this business has zero of.. I get the gloves, that's common sense. FYI there is no longer a mask mandate ! Very clean store and the ingredients seemed very fresh. There were a lot of people in the store, but the layout works to keep people moving through smoothly and the cashiers were very efficient. The manager/owner was also very gracious asking if we enjoyed our meals and informing us of upcoming deals. He even gave my son a free cookie. read more

First of all, I am a loyal customer and eat at salad stations often. With the covid crisis, I was a little hesitent about going to a buffet type restaurant but was relieved when the SS advertised that masks were mandatory to its employees and all customers, plus gloves were provided when serving yourself. Well, when the covington SS changed locations, the Mandatory Mask sign came down and I have noticed customers coming in without masks and serving themselves while laughing and talking over the salad ingredients.Employees said nothing. I will not be returning to this location again. Masks should be mandatory in buffet serve yourself eating establishments especially when the virus rates are so high. I wanted to give this place 4 stars for cleanliness and friendly staff. I ordered a potato soup and broccoli and cheese. There was about two tiny potatoes in it and could taste no cheese in the broccoli soup. Both were terrible and tasteless. I really like this location because it offers the salad bar on two sides rather than one long salad bar, which really helps when it gets busy at lunch. Never disappointed when I come to Salad Station. The choices are always fresh, and they have enough of a variety that allows everyone to get something they like. Salads purchased last night around 6:30pm made my wife and I sick this morning, something we chose must have been contaminated.

I truly do miss the old Salad Station. The new store is beautiful and well kept up, but the management is poor. I always seem to be in the store to witness the owner's husband poking his head out from the back of the store just to stare at an unattended customer at the register before turning back around into the kitchen, leaving the customer for the BUSY BUSY kids working behind the salad bar. These kids are over worked and obviously exhausted. The manager is always incredibly sweet and tries to help these kids out as much as possible, but never once do I see the owner and her husband jumping in to save the day. Another complaint! The chicken tenders, soups, and potatoes are almost NEVER COOKED!!! Every single time I bite into a chicken tender, the inside is pink!!! The soups are also never fully "defrosted" in the morning, always chunky and thick! The potatoes are also ICE COLD on the inside. I am convinced that the cook in the back just microwaves the food instead of sticking it in the oven. This past week was the exception. My son happily bit into a fully cooked tender, and I a nice warm potato. Why the difference you ask? Apparently the cook took the week off!! Haha! The manager had to take charge of the food this week! And boy was it good. I've asked my friends if they've experienced the same problem from the Covington location, and they AGREED! So sad to see a great restaurant go to waste...Very upset it became a franchise. read more
