Combination fried rice, no flavor, not fried vegetables. A mess
Giovanni I.

Clearly, the five star reviews were written by the owner. This place is far from being five stars. Ordered takeout. I should have known while sitting there looking at the inch layer of dust on seats/chairs. Eggrolls were completely saturated in oil and very small. Pad Thai had a strange flavor, had cubes of something that could not identify saturated in oil. Combination fried rice was anything but fried rice more like old vegetables in white rice no flavor with huge chunks of chicken on top and only a couple of shrimp. Something is very fishy that this place has a five star rating. Complete waste of money all of it went in the trash immediately. Diners beware...

Pad Thai

Delicious food. Warm welcoming hospitable staff. Friendly people. Can't wait to return.

Amazing!! Loved everything we ate. Restaurant is comfortable and clean. Staff is super sweet and attentive. Best milk tea ever. We ordered the chicken bao sliders and pork kushiyaki for appetizers and they were delicious. Cucumber salad is complementary. We got the Korean L.A. Galbi and Japanese Pepper Beef as entrees. Both were amazing. Huge portions for a great price. AND they gave us a free dessert to take home with us! AND they gave us chopsticks with our names on them Will definitely be coming back

Korean short rib

Food was amazing! I had the Korean short rib and had to say WOW. The owners are kind and very attentive. I loved the vibe of the restaurant and it seemed like everybody eating there was thoroughly enjoying themselves. Would recommend this to anybody looking for Thai or Asian fusion cuisine local to the Covington area. Tell Miss Joe blaze sent ya!

Asi Fusion - New Orleans Roll

Asi Fusion

We decided to try Asi-Fusion Asian Kitchen & Sushi Bar in Kenner after noticing its extremely high…read moreGoogle rating (4.9 stars with mostly 5-star reviews). We actually chose it over another, more upscale-looking restaurant nearby because of those ratings. We always like supporting highly rated local spots, so we went in hoping for a great experience. The restaurant is small and fairly simple inside. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who also served as our waiter, and service throughout the meal was polite. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. My husband and I eat sushi often--both locally and when we travel--so we tend to order a few "baseline" items that make it easier to gauge quality. We started with gyoza and steamed shumai. The shumai had a strong shrimp flavor but was somewhat soggy in texture. The gyoza was pan-seared but fairly average. Both appetizers gave us the impression they might be pre-made rather than freshly prepared. Next we ordered the snow crab naruto, along with a rainbow naruto that looked great on the restaurant's display screen. Unfortunately, both rolls were assembled so loosely that they fell apart almost immediately when we tried to pick them up. It seemed the cucumber wrapping was sliced too thin to hold the ingredients together. The rainbow naruto especially fell apart as soon as it was touched, and it also had no sauce or finishing element, which made it feel incomplete. For our main rolls we ordered the Rock and Roll and the Po Boy roll. The Rock and Roll was average, and my husband described the Po Boy roll as just okay. We finished the meal with fried banana for dessert, which ended up being the best item we ordered. After dinner we drove back to Baton Rouge (we had been in the area to drop someone off at the airport). On the drive home both of us experienced stomach discomfort, and by the time we got home we both had upset stomachs. I'm still not feeling great the next day, which is unusual for me since I rarely experience stomach issues after eating out. I wouldn't say it was food poisoning, but the after-effects were noticeable. Given the very high ratings online, perhaps we just visited on an off night. However, based on our experience, I can only give it two stars and it's not somewhere we would likely return.

As you come in you seat yourself. It's a good ambiance and no frills experience. The service here…read moreis great, our waiter was quick to get our order out and food came fairly quickly. The food was great! We got a couple special rolls and a couple normal rolls. The prices are standard for sushi which is great. Next time we go here we really want to try the bento box dinner. It smelled so good as the waiter walked it over to another table. I highly recommend this for lowkey dates and casual get togethers with friends.

The service was wonderful, our waiter was very attentive, helpful, and friendly. It was a very cute establishment, but the food was just a big miss for me. I thought it was neat having several different choices of food, but I was expecting a little better quality food. The meat didn't taste all that great in my Udon combination. Not bad, just very cafeteria quality food. To be totally honest though, I think my hospital's cafeteria has much better food. We were recommended to try the honey garlic chicken, but we did not at all except to just receive a plate of fried chicken nuggets with honey mustard slathered all over them. Again, tasted just fine, but nothing special at all. The lo mein was quite bland to me. Never hurts to try something new though! Nonetheless, the happy hour was great. We got hot sake and egg rolls ($1.50!) and those were so good!! If I were in the area around happy hour, I would consider going back!

The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. The food was delicious and came out quickly, which I really appreciated. They also have a variety of food options to choose from. I also went on a Tuesday, when they offer $5 martinis. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, great drinks, and a relaxed vibe.
