I used to think of this as a take out place, but the last three times we have dined in. Not fancy, but the food seems to be getting progressively better, the service is good, full bar and nice wine selection. Try it. read more

excellent, very good pad Thai was wonderful with tofu vegetarians dream, yummy lime, and peanut sauce when asked read more

We had a superb experience. Upon walking in, we didn't know what to expect. But the food was phenomenal. If you want to eat at a slower, more traditional pace, do not order everything all at once. Because our food came out in seconds. read more

This is the best Thai I have had in some time. I have eaten mostly Vietnamese for the last several years after getting some disappointing Thai. The Charm Thai Bistro made me very happy and a fan again when I dug into my to-go order of Massaman chicken curry. My partner got the special fried rice with pineapple and he was happy as well, My curry had a great flavor. It is not a sweet curry and I know often people expect a curry to be sweet and this one is not overly sweet. The only mistake was I ordered it mild. I wasn't sure of the heat level here since it was my first time ordering. This is white people mild and I say that as a white person. There is zero heat and spice at mild. I will order medium next time. I don't usually like the highest levels of heat because I prefer to taste my food, but I will definitely go to the medium here since I love some spicy flavor and a little kick. Otherwise, yummy! Really good flavor even at mild and huge pieces of white meat chicken, potatoes, and veggies. Fresh ingredients! Whole peanuts! It was delicious and I can't imagine how yummy it will be with a bit more flavor and heat! The special fried rice was equally delicious with fantastic ingredients. There were raisins!!! Oh, there's nothing like the taste of a caramelized raisin in a savory dish and then the sweet/sour pop of the pineapple with a mix of proteins. Mmmm... really yummy too, in case you can't tell, I tasted it. It's the price I would expect to pay for these dishes. It's not an inexpensive meal out but not overpriced for the food you get either. I don't mind paying around $20 a person (with fees, tax, tip) for quality food. There is a small convenience fee when you order online for pickup. I don't like paying a convenience fee but it is convenient and easy to order. When we arrived to pick up, our order was ready and hot. It's located in a nice, newer shopping strip on HWY 21 in Covington. The strip still has a lot of open spaces but it has this excellent restaurant and Albasha (Also delicious!) in it, so you can't go wrong! The restaurant is small with maybe 8-10 tables and a few seats up at the bar. It was clean with a modern look. Very pleasant. My limited interaction with the employee since I had ordered and payed online was also quite pleasant. We will definitely be back! I can't wait to try some of the other dishes, although, it's going to be really tough not to order these two dishes again since they were so scrumptious! read more

We got the Pad Thai and it was really good. To make it even better ask for some extra sauce on the side! read more

The Charm Thai Bistro - Pad Thai with Extra Chicken & Sauce - Thai Near Me - Covington, Louisiana

Food was good, not great. I was surprised how big their fresh spring rolls were, and how much carrots they stuffed it with lol. The peanut dipping sauce was good. I enjoyed the fried wings. I had the traditional Pad Ke Mao and it was basically mama noodles, if you ever ate those kind of thai/lao instant noodles before. I didn't think it was great, well not what I expected. The beef fried rice was not bad, a little salty though. read more

We eat here pretty much every other Sunday. It's delicious. Pad Thai and tom yum fried rice are amazing. Can't go wrong with anything here

Great food and great service. If you like really really spicy go for the Thai spice level, if not I highly recommend the lower spice levels. Taste and Preparedness, as well as Proportions, timeliness, and services, very well done. I will be returning to this hot spot! read more

I had been trying to get to this place since I saw their opening. I possibly should have given them more time to get up and running. I had fried calamari and seafood pineapple fried rice. The calamari was over done and caused the usual rubbery chew that comes from that. The fried rice had good flavor and a large quantity, but there were barnacles left on the mussel shells, one of which broke loose during the prep and cooking process. Weird doesn't begin to describe the sensation of biting into a barnacle in your food. I probably won't return here. read more

Tried calling for a takeout order this evening at least 8 times. 3 times the phone was picked up and then hung up, 2 times after ringing at least 20 times, I got a recorded message that said this number was not able to take my call and the other 3 times I gave up and disconnected the call. Tried one last time and the call was answered. I asked why I was hung up on 3 times. The person who answered said he was slammed with orders and had to take care of other people. I told him instead of hanging up on me 3 times, he could have told me that they were very busy and could take my order a little later or that they were not taking orders at this time!! Anything but hanging up on a customer!! Really bad business practice! read more

Husband and I went for lunch and really enjoyed the food. I got the drunken noodles subbed glass noodles instead of what it comes with. Hubby got the Pad Woon Sen and they were both so good! We also got an order of the crispy spring rolls as an appetizer and they were amazing. Our 2 little boys were very welcome in the restaurant and the staff was all so friendly. We can't wait to go back! read more

It wasn't that good prices are little bit to high for the food amount as well and very spicy ! Chicken smell really bad like it was just boil in hot microwave water don't recommend read more

Very good food! Great serving size too. Service is pretty good. Kind of a quiet place, could use more personality.

Have never left a bad review, i usually try to keep positivity with my reviews. I'll say the place is very clean very nice, tables are way too small though. Service sucked, left plates at the already too small table up until the very end. Server sat behind the counter talking to 3 random women that came in bombing the place with the smell of a nail salon. Food was absolutely MID. If you don't know what MID means, ask your kids. read more

FANTASTIC EVERYTHING! This was our first visit & we were beyond pleased with everything from the service to the freshness & perfection of the food. We started with fresh spring rolls, which were super crunchy & huge! Hubs ordered med heat green curry (DELICIOUS) & I got combo Pad Thai. The portions were enough for two meals, & the best Thai food I've had in 10 years! We are DEFINITELY going back. read more

Great experience at this Thai restaurant;;service was good but the food was amazing. My wife and I shared fresh spring rolls which were delicious but the entrees were the main event. She had Pad Thai which was plentiful and she thoroughly enjoyed an my green curry chicken was phenomenal. The best green curry I can recall having in 15 years. Check them out! read more

The roti with massaman curry, fried egg rolls, pad Thai were all excellent! The soup and salad with lemon vinaigrette were also delicious! The owner was so accommodating and sweet we will definitely be back! Great addition to the Hwy 21 corridor! read more

I've tried twice. The tofu is terrible. I don't think the actually cook it. It taste like they take it out of the package and dump it in. Flavor is decent, but noting to make me go a third time. Really wanted to like this place since it is so close to my work. read more

Great little Thai spot, food was fresh and I like that they have satay on the menu, I don't understand why so many Thai restaurants around here don't have that but they do. I use to live in SE Asia and obviously no place will be as authentic as it is in Asia but it's still really good Thai and if you want it Thai spicy they will make it that way for you, just ask! The server is very accommodating. My only criticism is the restaurant seems a bit understaffed for dine in service, but the one server is very nice and tries her best to service the front of the house by herself. Sorry I don't have a picture, I was too busy enjoying the food! It's so yummy. read more

First and last try. Does not deserve a second try. Food was terrible. Even their steamed rice was not cook well. I am very familiar with Asian food and I can cook. Poor and cheap tasting quality as to no quality at all. None of the food we ordered are even average from egg rolls to curry. Curry and tofu are not supposed to be very sweet. The ambiance is good but that's about it. I was gonna say the server was nice but it was not nice to serve bad food. I know he was not the cook but we told him that it was bad after tasting the food and we could not eat them considering that we were starving at the time. read more

Delicious food. Great service. Loved the spring rolls and pad Thai. Will be back. Very fresh and plentiful!

I decided to give this place a second try after visiting the first week it opened and being thoroughly underwhelmed. Not a good decision. First, the service was slow for the amount of people dining. Second, the food. The beef salad had chunks of meat so big and tough that I couldn't chew or cut it. The flavor was decent, but not enough to risk choking on a wad of meat gum. The Pad Thai had 4 thin pieces of chicken a little smaller than a silver dollar. The carrots were so large and undercooked that they might as well have been raw. The flavor was nothing to write home about. Moral of the story, do not waste your money here. read more

Great food, great service. Very tasty curries. Fried rice is also very good. A good choice for takeout.

Wow! Fabulous Thai cuisine, possibly the best I've ever had. Liz got the Pad Thai with shrimp and I had the seafood massaman (sp?) curry. Plus we split an order of "fresh spring rolls." They've been in business 3 months and I guarantee they'll give any other Thai food establishment a run for their money. Try 'em out! read more

Was concerned after I noted mixed reviews about this place. Decided to try it anyway. Service was good, food was good, prices were good.

Excellent food and service. We were promptly greeted when we arrived and the staff was happy to answer any questions we had. Our noodle dishes (pad see ew and drunken noodles) were piping hot when they were brought to our table. It is a nicely decorated spot and felt casual, yet clean and new. I wish I lived on the Northshore to come here regularly!! I will definitely be back. read more

I spend a great deal of time in Los Angeles and live very close to Thai town when I'm there. The food here is comparable, or better than anything I can find in Thai town in Los Angeles, which obviously has a huge Thai community. The atmosphere here is pleasant. The staff are very gracious, and the food is amazing. To their credit I asked for Thai spicy and got Thai spicy did not have to add it. If I could, I would for sure.rate 6 stara! read more

Really, really good! I'd rank it with some of the best Thai I've eaten. Dining in is far better than to go here.

I was disappointed. The meal I had was so salty I couldn't eat it. I had given it two try's, both sub par. Hopefully they can get it right

One of my new favorite restaurant in Covington. Pad Thai and mini egg rolls are my favorite. The fried rice not bad either

I have only ordered take out. Each order was on spot, great taste. Employees were friendly and helpful. Price is a little high.

Went for lunch special. Broth is blah but lettuce salad was ok. The drunken noodles were missing something but portion was good.

Northern Thai cuisine at its best. Very clean restaurant. Spicy not sweet Thai food. Have been several times and will continue. Owners are on site and very involved with the customers. read more

The food is always SO fresh. The owner and wait staff are always patient in explaining the differences between dishes. The spring rolls are the best anywhere. Food comes out quickly and is piping hot. When I leave, I feel like I have eaten healthy. And EVERY dish I have tried has been excellent as well as eye-appealing. read more

Delicious food - generous portions - after one visit I will never go anywhere else for Thai food!

We decided to try this place because we LOVE Thai! we will not be back. first of all, for the portions and the flavor it was WAY OVERPRICED. I ordered the fried rice with my meal, which included an up charge, which would have been no big deal, except the fried rice came out 15 minutes after my food did and was so salty, it was inedible. The girl who brought our food to us, literally did not speak. Each time I said thank you, she did not even respond. Not great for service, especially because we were the only people in there, so it's not like they were super slammed. Very disappointing read more
