I'd give them 10 stars if I could. I get seated and ordered an ice tea, which was great. The server brings some miso soup, which was wonderful. I ordered 4 different rolls, all under $6.00. The food was fantastic. I wasn't expecting the rolls to be so big, considering the low cost. I have a new sushi place. I'll be there at least twice per week. Great service as well! Came here for the first time today on a whim because we'd been wanting sushi for a while and it was close to where we happened to be. We were immediately seated at the sushi bar by the polite hostess and took a look at the menu. Really, really good. It's in a nice little shopping area that we had never seen before. We ordered salmon, tuna tataki, the FEMA roll and a bottle of nigori to share. Wow. Everything was delicious, and they even served us real wasabi instead of that fake green paste. Super fresh fish, great service, VERY reasonable prices. Nice little place in an out of the way strip mall. The menu is very extensive. There are at least 25 $6 - 6 piece rolls in addition to the special rolls. Some regular sushi was as little as $5 for a two piece order. Fish broth noodle soup was complimentary. We had 4 regular rolls, 1special roll, gyoza, one order of yellowtail sushi, plus one large and one small beer for $82 INCLUDING tax and a full 20% tip. I try a different sushi roll every time I come. It's always been delicious. This is my favorite restaurant because I walk in and can feel the peace of God. They play Christian music (which is all I listen to as a personal preference). It makes for a much more beautiful atmosphere than many other restaurants in town (where I generally fight listening to the music they play) . The food is just as good as the last review I posted! Sushi Saigon is my go-to sushi spot in the Covington area. I love the crab stick salad and LSU roll. The service is always the best! I've ordered before closing and they even offered to stay past closing hours till I arrived. The environment is nice and quiet. I love the Christian background music too! read more

The food here is quite good...well prepared and attractive and served by the nicest young woman in a timely fashion in a clean and pleasant dining room. I would have liked to give them 5 stars but I must comment that they only play really bad, whiney and repetitive Christian music while you eat and it drives me crazy. All of the food was awesome. Me and My Dad shared a (2pc) Soft-shelled crab sushi that was honestly filling on its own on a large pad of sushi rice and the crab doused in a delicious sauce yet still crispy. We also got a Sushi Saigon Combo box, which despite it being $30 was more than enough food for its price. Even sharing between the two of us there was still enough left to feed a whole nother person. The squid and the seaweed salad were especially good. And the cuts of tuna and salmon were also much bigger than I was expecting, and very satisfying.
