So we just moved to madisonville 2 weeks ago, the local pho restaurant was closed, and I remembered seeing pho Saigon a few times while going to other places. Decides to try this place today for lunch and it's not disappointing AT ALL. From walking into the restaurant and getting a to go order; everyone was so nice. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with hellos and smiles. (Which we're finding out very quickly seems to be a thing here, compared to the south shore where everyone seems annoyed) so it's a breath of fresh air. I ordered the brisket and steak pho and summer rolls which is shrimp and pork. ITS SO GOOD! I craved pho during my first pregnancy and here I am again craving it again, yay! I have eaten here several times and had great experiences, however my Uber Eats steak pho last night tasted like someone dumped an entire package of cayenne in it, I don't know if the broth was old and just had all the spice from the bottom, but it looked visibly different and was inedibly spicy. I almost missed the place because of the terrible traffic on Highway 190. The parking lot was also extremely crowded even though the restaurant itself wasn't, as the neighboring restaurant overflows into Saigon's parking area. Leaving back out onto Hwy 190 was risky and you should just wait for a large gap before attempting to leave the lot. I ordered the combination Pho with no meat ball and extra tripe. Mung beans, cilantro and basil along with a slice of lime and jalapeño slices accompanied. The broth was strong with star anise, for which I was not prepared. It was quite strong but still tasty. The tendon and tripe were nicely cooked and there was plenty in the soup. I couldn't finish it all there was so much. On a whim I ordered a pork Banh mi to go. Man was it good. Cilantro, cucumber and carrot made for a fresh crunch. A light dressing of hoisin sauce and the chewy bun made it perfect. Price was very reasonable. Service was great. I'll be back when I am in the area again. I might even make a detour on the way through the area just to stop in. read more

Plenty of parking spaces...entrance of the door is a bit hidden so follow the signs. As Robby said...just like mama use to make...literally! The flavor profiles is very much similar to how my mom would make pho! Huge portion for the Pho Dat Biet (special pho). It has a combo of meat balls, beef, tripe and tendons. Suggestion: I always get my steak on the side because i like the slices of beef not over cooked. I add it in after i sip the broth to taste its flavor. Right after, i add the beef and let it cook for a bit. Then i add about a three swirls of siracha, and one swirl of hoisin sauce (sweet sauce). Then I had my greenery, bean sprouts, jalepeno slices and finally squeeze in that piece of lime wedge. The lime with bring out the pho's brightness! Very friendly, appears to be family owned restaurant. Spotlessly clean, spacious, and quiet with great service. Been eating here for better than a year and never had a bad meal, although I basically stay with pho and the occasional egg roll. One disturbing thing I have noticed lately, the last couple of times I have been here the noodles seemed tougher than before and sometimes had clumps of noodles stuck together in the bowl. Evidently there are a couple of these on the Northshore. My nieces were craving pho so we stopped in here after their first choice was too crowded. Very traditional menu but very few vegetarian options. The nieces both got the chicken pho. One ate all the goodies out of it and the other ate most of the broth so perfect leftovers when blended.
