That was completely fine with us. What wasn't fine was the way the situation was handled. When I told the hostess that we were willing to wait and asked to be seated, she suggested that we leave instead and said she would come back with the time frame and "hopefully we'll be available." This was especially frustrating considering there were open tables and seats visible, it was cold outside, and we were traveling with two toddlers. We also don't live in the area, so leaving and "hoping" to return wasn't a realistic option. If the kitchen was backed up, that's understandable -- but the lack of accommodation, empathy, or even basic courtesy made us feel unwelcome. First impressions matter, and this experience felt less like managing a wait and more like being brushed off. I can't speak to the food because we never got the chance to try it, but based on customer service alone, I wouldn't recommend this place -- especially to families or out-of-town visitors.

My friend and I got "the Mandu" app (MY FAV); the hot honey chicken, fried shrimp, and pork belly bao buns; the wookie wings (my friend's fav); and the chilled crab claws. To drink, we ordered The Ginger (mocktail), the Spritz (mocktail), the miso coconut old fashioned, and the frozen "snake wrangler" rum cocktail. All delish. *The Mandu consisted of fried dumplings stuffed with spicy bulgolgi beef and topped with white queso. Rich and indulgent, right? Yes...but it doesn't stop there! Every dish here is a perfectly balanced party in your mouth. You'll also bite into Gochujang aioli, fresh cilantro, kimchi salsa, and pickled jalapeños. So freaking good. *The Wookie wings were crispy and tossed in a delicious sriracha-butter glaze (buffalo style), drizzled with green chili aioli, and topped with fried shallots + green onions. They were also served with a generous portion of the MOST delicious pickles!! I'd order those on their own. *The chilled crab claws were refreshing and flavorful. The menu was still similar to the old one, with some new additions to the appetizers like being able to order a small or large karaage, wong wings, takoyaki, etc. We ordered karaage and cucumbers to share, but they completely forgot to add any ponzu sauce. It seems to be a recurring issue with this app where there is always something that is missed, whether it be the sauce or a garnish. It's cool that they decided to merge/ combine sweet society and their new claw machine arcade all into one establishment, but the new dining space here honestly felt a bit claustrophobic, so it was difficult to comfortably enjoy ourselves. With that being said, I unfortunately don't see ourselves returning for boru, but possibly for dessert.
