Crispy fish curry (delicious!!) and cauliflower bites appetizer.

Nice people, food is delicious. And unusual. Crispy fish curry was delightful. Spicy, but not too much. Cauliflower bites were wonderful and just right seasoning. Def recommend!

My friends and I had a great time! We had a 4 person party and had just enough space to be comfortable. It can get tight in there but it's popular for good reason. We got the hot honey bao buns and the bread pudding to share and they were both a great start and a great end of the meal. I got the T-bokki and wishing I had more as I'm writing this now.

It had been years since I had visited Chow Yum, and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long! The bao on their happy hour menu are a can't-miss (my favorite was the crispy fish). We also enjoyed the soft shell crab and hot honey chicken bao, curried crab claws, rad Thai, and a rice dish I can't remember the name of. A cozy place with delicious food!

It was well worth the wait!! I've been wanting to try their crawfish for a while and I'm so happy I called and was able to get them same day. The spice was just right, the only complaint I would have is there was a lot of baby crawfish in there and claws. I'm not sure if they cook the corn and potatoes separate but the flavor wasn't pronounced but they were still good. There was a live band playing and it wasn't too hot outside. I'll definitely be back to try their regular menu and to get more crawfish.

The crawfish were amazing. Spiced to perfection. The service was delightful. The live music both visits was the perfect vibe for crawfish on the patio.

Very impressed with Chow Yum! I normally think fusion restaurants always have meh food and good atmosphere. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the food and drinks here. We sat at the bar and the bartender was sweet. The place is a little cramped inside, but it was also super busy and a Sunday night. Once it started to clear out it felt cozy & the decor adds to the aesthetic of the entire place. We had the 2 special frozen drinks, a snake wrangler & the Bali blast. Both were really tasty and strong. The snake wrangler is a honeydew melon based cocktail and the Bali blast is similar to a blaja blast with a tropical twist. For food we tried the rib stack, pork belly bao, fried fish bao, & the smokehouse fried rice. The rib stack was 10/10 so tender and so much meat and the sauce was addicting. The baos were also a good size and yummy! The fried rice was meh and didn't have much flavor. Overall, we would definitely come again as there's other dishes we want to try and the dessert also sounds bomb.

This is one of our favorites ! It's always amazing ! And slaps every time. Like you know how you'll go somewhere to get your favorite dish and then one day it taste different... and not better ? Not here. It's delish everytime. In fact I ate all the wings and the pork belly bao buns before I could even take a photo. The house rice is so good we get it as carry out

I'm typically not a fan of Asian cuisine/ramen noodles, but this place is seriously so delicious! My friends were craving something different, so we decided on Chow Yum! We went late on a Saturday night, and this place was packed. It is small inside, but luckily for us, a table just had gotten up, so we were sat immediately. There are limited tables both inside and outside, but inside there are tvs and a bar. Also, this place is right under the overpass, so a very convenient location. To start, we got the wings. There are only 6, and they were spicy. I'm not a huge fan of spice, so I thought these were just ok. For an entree, I decided to try the fried chicken Bao buns. WOW! These are packed full of flavor. The Bao bun is sweet but it was paired nicely with the fried chicken strip and soy sauce. One of my favorite bites actually! I wish there were more Bao buns per order because I could have eaten at least 4. My friends got the ramen noodle bowl and a stir fry that they said were delicious. Service was good and food was amazing! I will be back solely for the Bao buns!

Treated my sister to her birthday lunch here in February 2025. It was my first time dining her, but my sister had been several times. It's near LSU, where she works. Food was different and delicious. Service was good, but a little slow. Not terribly slow though. Haven't been back, but plan on visiting again soon. *Sorry for the late review. I'm catching up on all of the restaurants I've visited for the first time this year."

Birria tacos and smoked fried rice.

I have been going to Chow Yum for about 6 months now, always wanting to try their Birria Tacos fusion. Finally, i was able to make it on a Tuesday night. We ordered the Pork Belly Bao Buns to start off. Then had the Birria Tacos and the smoked fried rice. Let me tell you, the food was incredible. Our server had been so nice and attentive. The ambiance is amazing at night time.

    Fried rice and tteokbokki

Food was great! Service could have been better (meaning the server would ask only one person if they needed a cocktail refill and not everyone at the table, there would so many empty dishes at the end of the table, but the server would only grab the empty beer bottle, and finally the server was not be found so someone else came got out tickets). The area and room was great but the changing of the lights was too much because we could barely read our menus.

This is one of my favorite go-to restaurants, and I crave it often! It's also a great place to visit when it's cold out. The parking situation can be a little tricky, given that there are so many other restaurants around, but don't give up--keep driving around, and you'll eventually find a spot. The drinks are always superb, and the food is incredibly tasty! It's a great spot for a date night or a fun girls' night out. If there aren't any tables available, the bar is a fantastic option! The wait can also be a bit of a pain, but again, just be patient; the best food will soon be in front of you!

I heard all the rave during crawfish season so I finally got around to coming over here! My honest review on the crawfish was that it is ok. They add some stuff in that you won't get at any other place in BR (edamame, quail eggs and such) and the butter sauce has lemongrass flavors. A twist on a regular south Louisiana boil. The wings were crunchy and quite yummy. Overall the place is small but they move people in and out pretty quick from what I experienced. Inside and outside seating and some anime to enjoy on the bar tv.

Master Roshi cocktail - very good!

From the kimbap expertly wrapped in triangle-shaped plastic to the adorable photo booth that offers visitors a chance to take silly photos with props and special effects, Seoul Stop reminded me so much of my time in Korea. The tuna kimbap was spicy and rich while the bulgogi kimbap featured sweet and savory beef enveloped in soft pillowy rice. We also enjoyed the wide variety of Korean snacks, with our favorites being the BBQ drumstick chips and the chocolate Pepero. The green onion popcorn was also surprisingly addictive and turned out to be the perfect movie-watching snack. And of course the snacks many of us know from childhood, like prawn crackers or Marukawa bubble gum. For the size, I was very impressed with this cute little shop. It's clean and organized, well stocked, and they're so friendly there. Honestly, prices are also super reasonable. They could totally jack up prices more and get away with it, since it's the only shop of its kind in this area. So I decided on 5 stars because while I do wish they had more non-frozen actual food and more variety, for their size, they're doing the best that they can. You can't walk into a store this size and expect an H-Mart or Assi or Hong Kong Supermarket. And the fact that they appeal to all the Asians is pretty darn great for this side of Baton Rouge. Overall, I would highly recommend. Come here for snacks, dessert, or getting ingredients for cooking. Just beware. You might end up getting more junk food than you anticipated!
