Good place to get hotpot in Baton Rouge, good service, big space, huge selection, and pretty good sushi! I highly recommend and would come back.

I'm super excited to see a hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi all-you-can-eat restaurant open in Baton Rouge. I have tried numerous hot pot and Korean places outside of BR, and I even make them at home, so I'm thrilled that there is now this type of restaurant conveniently located within our city. Getting all three options for one price is absolutely worth it to me--if you're not in the mood for one, you can simply enjoy another. I much prefer having all the options available rather than having to choose one and pay extra for others. The restaurant itself is spacious and modern, with large, comfortable seating that is well laid out. Their hot pot is excellent--the spicy broths are very flavorful, with a heat level that's just right. While I haven't tried the non-spicy soups yet, I really appreciate that you can customize your broth at the sauce bar. It's well stocked with most of the essentials needed to enhance flavor, such as bouillon bases and soy sauces, and the sauce bar itself is nicely equipped for creating your own concoction. That said, the bar could be improved with more variety. Currently, the hot food options are limited mainly to fried chicken and fries, which don't offer much for guests or kids who don't enjoy cooking their own food. Dessert options are also minimal, consisting only of ice cream and mini cakes, which leaves something to be desired. The Korean BBQ is decent, though the meat selection is somewhat limited. The sushi is okay--not the best I've had, but it satisfies a craving when I'm in the mood for sushi. The all-you-can-eat sashimi and appetizers, however, taste great. Overall, there are both pros and cons, but I do think the weekday lunch is worth the money. You get access to most of the offerings, and being able to enjoy hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi all in one place makes it a good value. I would definitely come back again whenever I'm in the mood for hot pot, KBBQ, or sushi.

I've been waiting forever for Legend Pot to open, so I was super excited to finally try it today. I got the Szechuan broth, and honestly, it was perfectly spicy and numbing but not over the top. Didn't even need to add anything. I went all in on the premium brisket and beef tongue, and both were amazing. Great fat-to-meat ratio, and the sauce options were endless. We also tried the Korean BBQ and sushi, and for all-you-can-eat, the value is insane. The short ribs were my favorite, and the bulgogi was really tasty, not too sweet. Sushi was surprisingly fresh too; nothing tasted frozen. The service was impeccable, as we never had to wait long for meat despite how busy it was, as well as consistent grill changes and complimentary ice cream towards the end! Overall, I'd 100% go back. This could easily become my new favorite spot for hot pot and KBBQ.

Note: 1) been here once and will compare with Kpot 2) lots of space for parking 3) went for lunch Pros: 1) food was pretty decent 2) ambiance is good 3) service was fine Cons: 1) service could be better optimized 2) food selection is overall low Rating: 3/5 Walking in, was greeted at the front. It was packed so we had to wait for our table. This wasn't bad but there was only 1 couch to wait on. Thus, if there are a lot of people then the customers would have to wait outside or stand near the entrance. The ambiance was good and After the wait (just word of mouth, no ringer/ text/ pager), we followed the hostess to our table and sat down. The table was sticky and the walls had sauces on it. It seems that the area was not well cleaned before we can but that could be because of the lunch rush. The waitress came by and took our order. The waitress did well in putting our orders but it was on us to make the ordering more optimized (making all the orders for items at once). I feel like this system could be improved by just providing iPads for customers to order themselves. It would cut down on repetition and the delay between orders (waitress does many tables) and make it more optimized for the customers to figure out what they are ordering and to make sure that they had the order that they placed in. The food ranged between good and not so good. It was never bad as it was all edible, but it could definitely be improved overall. The hotpot was overall good. The miso soup, Szechuan soup, and Tom yum were good. The pork soup was not the best as it was not so flavorful. The items that you can get in the hotpot menu was great. Some were not flavored but that could be helped with the sauces at the appetizer and sauces station in the center. I did not get a few items that I ordered which worked for the best as we could have ordered more. The kbbq section did not have a lot of options. Most of the meat on the list were either unseasoned or seasoned with the same "spicy" sauce. This spicy sauce made the meats easier to burn on the grill and also made it hard to determine if the meat was fully cooked. The spicy fish also did not taste good. The grill during cooking was not hot enough so it had to be increased to help the meats not take a long time to cook. I'd say that this was definitely the worst part of the meal. The sushi was okay. We ordered 2 rolls which were okay. The sashimi and appetizers were pretty worth it. The appetizers were chicken tenders, fried chicken, and French fries. This was actually pretty good. The seaweed salad and octopus salad were good too. Some of the desserts were not the best aside from the classic cake that you'd see at all buffets. Overall, it was good if you get certain items but as an overall assessment: it could use some work. For the price, it is well worth to try and go once you figure out what was good. Foods: 1) soups: pork broth was not so good (3/5) but the miso, Szechuan, Tom yum were good (5/5) 2) fish balls and other toppings for hot pot: 5/5 most if not all were good. Some not seasoned but can be fixed with sauces from the sauce station 3) kbbq: I'd say it's not worth the wait for just this. The grill is not that good at cooking and most meats taste the same with the "spicy" sauce. The sauce station helps but the options are so limited that it really does not. 4) sashimi: 5/5 well worth it 5) rolls: heart seeker and rainbow: 3/5 average rolls that don't have the same freshness as the sashimi 6) Kani salad: 5/5, classic taste and decent amount 6) pepper tuna and tuna tataki: 5/5, classic taste but slightly small 7) fried chicken and French fries: 5/5, classic tastes, well seasoned 8) desserts: 3/5 some good and some bad

Legend Pot 2159 Staring Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 #tonylameats If you've never had hot pot, think of it as building your own soup masterpiece. You choose your broth, and it comes out simmering right at your table. Then you cook your own meats, seafood, noodles, and veggies in real time; every bite fresh, hot, and exactly how you like it. I went with the Chinese herbal broth, and it was clean, refreshing, and packed with subtle depth that made every cut of meat taste even better. Now pair that with Korean BBQ, where you grill premium meats yourself on a tabletop grill. Watching the beef sizzle, caramelize, and crisp up while controlling the cook level? That's part of the experience, and honestly half the fun. Legend Pot brings it all together with all-you-can-eat hot pot, Korean BBQ, and sushi, so the variety never ends. From thin-sliced beef rolls to fresh seafood and sushi options, there's always something new to throw into the broth or on the grill. It's the kind of place where every round feels like a new flavor adventure. Legend Pot is known for its customizable broths, delicious meats, fresh vegetables, seafood, and handcrafted sushi, all designed to create an interactive and memorable dining experience. If you haven't tried Legend Pot yet, give it a shot. Come hungry.. and leave legendary. #batonrouge #hotpot #koreanbbq #ayce

The service was ok. I understand they just opened but our server needed a little help as she forgot our table . Outside of that, the food was good . I like that they include freshly made sushi with the all you can eat. I'd to back. The kimchi was delicious . The inside was really cute.

Honestly, every single thing we tried hit. The ribs were dialed in just right. Not falling apart, but that perfect bite where they pull clean off the bone. You can tell they know exactly what they're doing on the pit. Pulled pork was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. But the real standout for me was the burnt pork ends. Absolute game changer. Crispy, caramelized, smoky... slamalamadingdong. I could've eaten a whole tray of those. Brisket was legit. Moist, rich, and packed with that deep smoke flavor you're always hoping for. No dryness at all, and the fat was rendered perfectly. Loved that. Sausage was good, just not my personal favorite. I'm a Louisiana sausage guy so I'm a tough critic there, but it definitely wasn't bad. Sides and extras were on point too. Pickles, onions, mac and cheese, sauce... everything complemented the meat without getting in the way. But those mustard greens? I'd go back just for a tub of that. So good. Slamming. Something about grabbing great BBQ in the rain just made the whole experience even better. If you're anywhere near this place, don't overthink it. Order more than you think you need. You'll be glad you did. We'll definitely be back.

Instead, we opted for the chicken combo platter and the brisket tacos... Brisket. Tacos. Did I mention I am a skeptic? The brisket taco came with brisket and cheese on a soft tortilla. The brisket was decently seasoned and the portions were adequate. It was served with chips and salsa which, on top of being really salty, had competing flavor profiles for me so I didn't eat them. The bang for the buck goes to the chicken combo platter that had two leg quarters +2 sides. The chicken was large, well cooked, smoky and tender. Flavor was not as pronounced as I prefer but it was good. Overall, the experience was good.
