I think I'm obsessed with their sweet potato casserole. I can't stop thinking about it and how deliciously creamy it was. I might have to try making something similar for Thanksgiving. My main dish was their smoked chicken plate which I topped with their sweet BBQ sauce. My only complaint is the chicken wasn't super warm but it was flavorful and seasoned very well. I also got the fried okra. This was delicious but again, not super warm. Overall, the staff were friendly and the food was tasty. I'm not a fan of bbq, which is why I got the smoked sausage platter, and found this place to be so delicious. It is very clean inside, even the bbq sauce bottles. You order at the counter, and then they, bring your order to you. Food came out super fast! The sausage wasn't spicy, it was just right! Again, there was so much food on my platter...I was pleasantly surprised because you get a good amount of food for what you pay for. I only wanted one side, and they gave me two Mac n cheeses. The Mac n cheese was creamy and unlike any Mac n cheese I've had before. I also loved the garlic toast, and I devoured that in seconds. I have the bbq sauce a try, and to me, it was too sweet, but again not a fan of bbq so that's why. My friend got the two meat combo, and his pulled pork and chicken looked delicious! Me and my family have ordered from here many times. The food is consistently good. If you have a taste for some quick bbq this is a solid choice. The drive thru pick up makes things really easy. The service is usually good as well. Every food item we have tried has been good. The only dish that I am not a big fan of so far is the spaghetti. They have a drive thru window, which was very convenient. There wasn't an employee when I pulled up, but she quickly walked up and I could see she was talking to a customer. I should have known when we pulled up and got out of the truck, no smoke from a pit, no smell of the smokers doing what they do best, low and slow!! As we waited on our orders, again I noticed no real smokehouse aroma.. but still tried to remain positive! Our to-go orders arrive to the table within 15 minutes and we headed home.. Well, here comes the truth! Turkey appeared to be roasted, no smoke ring or bark and horribly dry-- F Ribs appear to have been either boiled or roasted, no smoke ring, or bark... and slathered in sauce -- F Brisket was the same, no smoke ring, no bark--- I cut a piece from the center of the slice, it tasted like pot roast! -F Sausage was a cheap sausage from a food supplier like Cisco.... No visual evidence that it spent any time in a smoker - F Pulled pork was no better than any of the above! -F I suspect this place cooks in a roasting oven with a little tin of wood chip on side that produces a little smoke in the roasting oven... which is not Barbecue. This place is by no means a true "Smoke House" -not even close First and last visit, this might pass for Barbecue in Baton Rouge!! But no true connoisseur of barbecue, and the art of slow smoking meats will be fooled.... This place couldn't keep their doors open a week in Dallas! Wouldn't know what the food taste like but I can tell you as far as customer service goes, it's poor. My mom had been wanting to go to Hannah Q for over 5 months. We finally cleared our schedule to take her tonight because on Google it showed all of the locations were open and operating. However, when we made it to the Bluebonnet location, we couldn't make it inside because an employee sitting outside notifying us that they were closed for their Christmas party. I asked him why it wasn't posted online that they were closed for this evening and he just shrugged. I asked him if the other two locations were closed and he said "yes" . I voiced that we drove an hour away to take our mom out to eat and they should really have put that online. he said he could go get his manager. he went inside and we seen him inside talking to what we believe were the two managers he was referring to, but instead of them coming out to at LEAST apologize for the inconvenience, they just looked at us from inside of the building. Definitely won't be giving this establishment another chance after that interaction. read more

Very average. The bbq chicken was over cooked and only tasted ok. The bbq sauce tasted like it was from the store. The baked potato was hard as a rock. Third Hannah Q location and for me, it's the closest one to me--yippie for me and my palate and upon visiting here I was recommended something new---the brisket grilled cheese sandwich which I promptly ordered and can without a doubt say I recommend you to try ---definitely now in the rotation when I go back. My usual go to is the brisket plate and I appreciate that they offer the brisket at lean, marbles or mixed since I have the more unhealthy preference of the more fatty selection. But there also pulled pork and smoked chicken as well as your usual and customary bbq type offerings. Additionally, the appetizers and sides Hannah Q offer are a little different but in the positive, modern innovative way so you certainly should try their appetizers and sides when you Geaux. Very disappointing. Portions were large and food was good, that's why they got 2 stars instead of 1. I was too grossed out to finish my meal after watching what was going on behind the counter. There were 2 men working and both were constantly eating behind the register. They would take a bite of a big juicy burger, while there mouth with the back of their hand and then go serve a meal. It was so gross. They also asked for a tip when I paid at the counter, so I chose the 20% option. When they called my name, they did bring my tray to me, but when I asked for silverware, they pointed to the drink machine and said "it's over there ". If you can at least bring silverware to the table, don't ask for tips. They also keep the to go containers in the main dining area. I witnessed guests bringing containers to their table and then returning the ones they didn't use back to the stack! Oh, did I mention the chef throwing out is cigarette on the floor at the entrance as he walked back in? Geez, at least use the back door and throw your butts in a container! I'm usually very careful about where I eat, because I'm gluten free and dairy free, but I was in the area and the building caught my eye, so I checked the ratings on yelp. I was so surprised and happy to see when I came in that they have a gluten free menu that also identifies the items with dairy. It was so easy to order! The ribs were probably the most offensive thing about this place, as the few times I've tried it from this location it was pretty much straight dog food. Went for lunch today with my wife around 11:45am. While the place wasn't packed there were about 4 tables with more people starting to trickle in. We ordered the brisket Fries for an appetizer which were AWESOME loaded with brisket (that was not fatty at all) and cheese and green onion on top of it was delicious! Then we got a burger and the brisket melt sandwich both were phenomenal. Great taste lot of meat flavor was tender and juicy. I want to point out a few things i noticed while we were eating in there. One being the guy at the register taking orders, he was did his job well and was professional and helpful. Also once we sat down there was a girl that soon as a table got up and left she would go over there and wipe the table down and get it ready for the next guest. Place was extremely clean also and food came out very quick and was presented nicely. It was refreshing to go to a restaurant and have everything go as it should. No bad attitude employees no employees standing around doing nothing no crappy food presentation no dirty tables.
