Feeding a family or group? Or just want to sample it all? GET THE SAMPLER! Great portions and a taste of everything. We love getting this for our family of 5. Everything tastes great! The best BBQ in Baton Rouge.

I had a to go order from off set smokes and BBQ. I ordered the smoke sausage plate with Mac and cheese and greens. The sausage was good, Mac and cheese was good, greens were from a can not seasoned at all. My Family members ordered another sausage plate, Mac and cheese, greens, brisket plate, Mac and cheese, greens, brisket sandwich on regular bun, Mac and cheese and turkey sandwich on regular bun,Mac and cheese. Choose both bbq sauce and spicy Asian sauce both were good. All other food items were good. Didn't take long to prepare our food order. Plan to revisit soon to see about sides of greens improving. We did not dine in. Area was open and clean to dine.

I always enjoy this place and the Asian BBQ twist they add to meat smoking! I ordered the brisket plate with Mac and cheese and collard greens and 1/2 pork belly. The meat was exceptional as always but the sides were sub par to poor. The greens were canned, bland, and not even collards- they were mustard greens. The Mac and cheese were tasteless and really dry noodles. They missed this time on the sides but enjoyed the proteins. The service was swift and friendly as usual. The vibe is casual dining, outdoor seating, perfect for a picnic, lunch date, and more.

The turkey? The turkey is so good! It's super moist, tender, and full of flavor. I can't even explain the ribs, but I need a lesson on their process. Baked beans have a vinegar base, but good. Now, I will say I don't care for the BBQ sauces or sweet tea.

    Beef ribs!!

Holy cow!! Literally!! The beef ribs are the star of the show at this place! Don't get it twisted, these are NOT spare ribs. They are huge! They sell them by the bone and each bone has about 1.5lbs of meat on them. They are perfectly seasoned and almost fall off the bone. You can cut them easily with a plastic knife. The combination of their spicy Asian bbq sauce with the pickled onions and dill pickles was an absolute winner for me! These ribs made me respect Baton Rouge bbq! The sides we tried, Mac n cheese, potato salad, Cole slaw, were average. The greens were actually better than average and I would buy them by themselves. After we got our food and were thoroughly enjoying it, the manager came out to check on us and make sure everything was ok. He even thought us a sample of their Dino Eggs, a jalepeno, wrapped in bacon and cream cheese and drizzled with bbq sauce. Nice touch! They were pretty good too.

I'll start with the good. Nothing had a bad flavor or tasted off or old. Everything I ordered was edible and service was good. Nice setup of outdoor eating, but still shielded from the sun. That being said I didn't feel this was BBQ. I've eaten BBQ in many states some known and unknown for it. The smokiness factor was lacking. The bark on the brisket wasn't doing what it's supposed to do. The greens tasted more like meat cooked in pot liquor as opposed to tasting like a vegetable seasoned with meat. The potato salad, while not bad was sweeter than I like mine to be. The sausage was crumbly like the fat to meat ratio was off in it affecting cohesiveness. The chicken made me think baked rather than smoked. What comes to mind is meat that has been cooked sous vide and then finished on a smoker to get a ring, but ultimately ends up without that true smokey flavor of real BBQ.

    Ribs, brisket. Awesome

Our first time stopping here. And omg. It was awesome. My new favorite spot We ordered. Ribs, brisket. Potato salad, Cole slaw It was all fantastic. Highly recommend

FYI - This restaurant has nothing to do with Migos. I was expecting bad and boujie bbq since Offset is in the name but it was so much more. These people definitely walk it like they talk it. There is no doubt that this is Baton Rouge's best BBQ and is solidly in the top 5 in the state. I have been following the opening of this restaurant for some time. It is right across the street from a restaurant I visit frequently and the anticipation has been building for a long time. Now that it is open, I have been on several Fridays in a row. Why Friday? It is open Friday-Sunday only, which means Friday is my day since I am not frequently in town on weekends. If you have ever had real deal Texas BBQ at places like Hutchin's, Terry Blacks, Lockhart, Lavaca, etc. you will understand the level of BBQ put out by Offset. It is truly BBQ excellence. Brisket is my favorite food on earth and they know what they are doing here. Trust me when I tell you, get brisket and no sides. Brisket and a side of brisket is the way to go. In addition to phenomenal brisket, I have had their jalapeno cheddar sausage, sate sausage, and pork belly burnt ends. None will replace brisket as my go-to but the jalapeno sausage is the best I have ever had. If you live anywhere near Baton Rouge, you need to get to Offset BBQ and get you some ASAP!

We got a big spread ribs, sausage, chicken, brisket, turkey, pork belly, pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, greens, mac & cheese, pickled veggies and bread and everything we tried was spot-on delicious. The sausage had this super unique, incredible flavor. I'm someone who normally does not like turkey at all, but theirs was juicy and shockingly good not dry whatsoever. And the pork belly? Absolute life changer. And let me tell you about the sides amazing and not to be skipped. I'm a sucker for mac & cheese and they nailed it, but every side we tried was just as impressive. Service was next level. It was pouring rain and I had a huge tray they came outside and helped load everything into my car. Super friendly staff, food came out on time, and the place has a great vibe with nice lighting. If you love BBQ and you're in Baton Rouge, don't skip this spot. I'll definitely be back!

    Baked beans and potato salad.

This really is the best barbecue in Baton Rouge! My plate was excellent! The ribs were tender, the regular & jalapeño cheddar sausages were jam packed with flavor. The sausage casing was a little thick though. The potato salad was great, it reminded me of Rouses deviled egg salad. The baked beans were also top notch.

The food was amazing! They provided great service & made this Texas girl feel back at home I love the passion in the food that the owner creates , i will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family Will be back soon !

There was salads, sandwiches, vegetarian options and lots of sides and dessert options. Because I didn't know if the sandwiches would come with sauce on them, which I don't like, I opted for a Cesar salad with a brownie. During our meeting before lunch, Jason's Deli delivered our boxes and put our names on the boxes so you knew which one was yours. I really liked this inside of just categorizing by lunch type: sandwich, salad, soup. When I opened my box, my Cesar salad was there with a big cup of dressing on the side. There was also two slices of bread and my delicious brownie. The salad was delicious and so was the bread and brownie. If I'm ever needing to cater for something, I am definitely doing Jason's Deli!

Currently they have French onion soup, delicious! It was full of onions. Would def get it again. The salad bar was constantly being refreshed with new food. $7.79 and you can get a "side salad". I was so filled from the salad I didn't even need the sandwich. For $20 you have 2 full meals. Can't beat that.

If you need some real Italian grocery items for your home, there's a good chance you can get them at Anthony's. However, if you would rather let them prepare your meal for you, that's an excellent option as well. I think they have a first rate muffuletta, and it's important to have the right bread and meats for those. This is something they have covered! Their Po-Boys are also my favorites. These are pressed so they are crispy and flattened. I typically like to get these with a small salad, which is indeed an excellent choice. If you have room, there's always some great dessert choices. Another consideration is picking up something to take home for later, I think a tub of high quality imported olives are a good selection. Don't forget their cheeses as well, these can lift your home cooking to a higher level. Next time you are in the Government Street Arts and Entertainment District, drop into Anthony's for a bite, dessert, or take home items. You'll definitely thank yourself later!

First, the store was dirty. Plates were piles up on numerous tables. The floors were sticky. Next, I ordered behind a group of three people. After they ordered, the employee walked off and I waited another five minutes or so to order. I had to repeat my order twice and correct the drink as she was pouring it. I stepped aside to wait. While waiting, a couple of kids walked in. They waited about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. They left and two employees who just needed to acknowledge their existence made some snarky comments for all to hear. While I was waiting, there was clearly a tussle in the kitchen with employees shouting at each other and one lovely f bomb dropped. Another employee mediated and calmed it down, but they all had attitude. The trio in front of me got their food after about 20 minutes of waiting. A door dasher came and waited a while during that time and got his order. Someone finally asked me what I was waiting on. I am pretty sure at that moment they just started to make it. Here is where the only star was earned - A very nice employee walked out with my food after another 10 minutes and apologized for the wait. She offered me a free item, but I just took a refill of my drink. She was friendly and acknowledged the fact I had been waiting for so long. (35 minutes for slathering chicken salad on a croissant) I walked out the door just in front of that trio who had finished their meals and I had just received mine. So I took my order home..... no side. The sandwich was correct, but they did not give me the entire order. That was disappointing. And I paid way too much for that sandwich. I won't go back. As much as I loved the restaurant and love the menu all these years, this location sours it. Someone in corporate needs to visit this location because it will not and should not make it.
