The food was ok . This was my first time trying this market. The wait was pretty long just for a sandwich. I saw some people get their orders before me , even though they ordered after me. I'm not sure if they overlooked my order in the lineup or something but I had to go back up to the counter to ask about it. The gentleman looked around the back then conveniently told me I was up next. I sat there for 50 minutes waiting on a single sandwich and they weren't even busy when I first arrived. If I decide to go back I would probably order online.

I had the Tunacado and it lived up to the hype. Perfect combo with this warmer weather. I also tried the Spicy Tunacado and it had just the right amount of kick. If you like a little heat, this one's for you. And then... the Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake. Y'all. The server said they were all good that good so I can't wait to try more. Our server was so friendly and helpful, and made the whole experience even better. Mulberry Market is simple, fresh, and really well done. Can't wait to come back and try out some new things.

I've been wanting to try Mulberry Market out, so I made sure to be around here for lunchtime. This is a great little spot, specializing in bagels and sandwiches. They also have little groceries items and lots of different wine bottles you can grab. You can drink them in store now, too. Staff was friendly and everything moved pretty quickly. I ordered their special, the chicken salad croissant. You can grab a drink and chips. It was about $17 for my lunch, a little high for what it was, but I was expecting that. The chicken salad was lacking in any special flavor, so that was disappointing. I'll have to try one of their other items when I go back. It's a cute little spot where you can settle in or you can grab and go. They also have some desserts you could grab. While you're there. Im looking forward to trying other things!

Local little shop with baked breads/bagels serving up some sandwiches. It is also a little market for the people who live near the area. We stuck with plain Jane ham sandwiches on this day to try. The bread was a little toaster than I would have liked but the overall sandwich was good. They use fresh ingredients here which is a plus. Very clean and very bright. People helping us were great as well.

After hearing nothing but good things about this deli and market, I had to go and try it and all I can say is what took me so long? The ingredients are top quality and the bread is from a local bakery called St. Bruno Bread Co. Full of flavor and beautifully constructed, these sandwiches are the best in Baton Rouge. The cookies are fresh and delicious. I had a blueberry lemonade to drink and it was tasty. The server was friendly and knows about customer service. Love the interior and the location. Put this on your list of places to try in the Capitol area.

I keep going back to Mulberry for their tunacado - it is seriously so good! The sourdough is toasted to crunch perfection and I love the incorporation of dill in the tuna salad! Service staff is very friendly and quick. And I like getting to shop around the market while I wait!

this place is a hit or miss depending on who makes your sandwich. I LOVE THE GIRL THAT FILLS UP ON THE SALMON 100/10 SERVICE!! there is quite a stark different from who is making your sandwich! the tuna sandwich reminds me of joe and the juice from how crispy their ciabatta bread are. (the different between the spicy tunacado and the regular is that they add jalapeño, i thought it was spicy tuna lol oh well) disappointing they removed their shelves that was filled with interesting ingredients for more tables and chairs. The ambiance feels like a neighborhood to go sandwich shop rather than a market but overall friendly service.

The service was fast, I got my food after only waiting a few minutes. The bagel came with a lot of cream cheese which I love, but the bagel itself didn't have much of an Asiago flavor. The Caesar salad sandwich hit even harder the next day! A great, light lunch that comes with chips.

If you're wanting the change from a bagel you can also swap it for a croissant (which I love!) I prefer the sandwiches to the bagel pizzas, but the pizzas are nice for a change. Their coffee options are really good too! And I always get suckered into grabbing one on my way out the door. The outdoor area has some cute patio furniture as well as tables, and the inside is very spacious while still having a good bit of seating.

It's a small restaurant with a small open kitchen and a small dining room where you stand in line to place your order, get a number to put on your table, and servers bring the food to your table when it's ready. So, if you're looking for a large upscale, elegant restaurant with elaborate food presentations, this is not the place for you. But if you're looking for a simple, quick and delicious meal, Simple Joe Café is for you. The menu consists of a wide variety of breakfast favorites, but the menu is not intimidating and easy to read and order from. Simple enough. When my family and I arrived, the small dining room was packed with a few open tables and about six other customers in line waiting to place their order. On Saturday and Sunday, you cannot sit at the open tables or hold the tables until you have placed your order and given a tent number. At that point, the servers will help you find a table to accommodate your party. The employees do a very good job of clearing and turning over the tables to make sure everyone is seated and able to enjoy their meal in a timely manner. I am not a fan of breakfast food and normally don't eat breakfast, so I only had coffee while my family enjoyed their meal, so the food quality part of this review is based on what they described as they were eating. They each ordered Joe's Number One Breakfast Combos which came with two eggs, choice of meat and pancakes and they shared an order of hashbrown and a side of grits. The food came out quickly. They stated everything was fresh, prepared and cooked as requested, the food tasted very good and enjoyed every bite. Of course, the coffee was hot, and fresh and the service was fast and friendly. The relaxed ambience and decor add to the unique character of the restaurant. Date of Visit: Saturday 05-16-26 Simple Joe Café | 3057 Government St, Baton Rouge, LA

Walked in to a very lively coffee shop, lots of students and they had a very nice sized space. Service was bleh, not very friendly just kind of like "what do you want attitude". Not sure if the college students employed are a little stressed out but you are in the service industry, give people a good experience! Ordered a pour over and an oatmeal cream pie. The pour over was good! Whoever is roasting did a great job highlighting the origin flavors of that coffee and it was brewed well thanks to the automated brewing system they had. The oatmeal cream pie was nothing special. A little hard and couldn't tell if it was old or just a recipe used that made it dense. The worst part for me was at the area you pick up drinks, it was messy and because of that mess there were a lot of little fruit fly looking things flying around. Not the best look for an establishment serving food and coffee. I really wanted to like this place. My coffee was great but a coffee shop is more than the cup. It's the whole experience and unfortunately, it was lacking. If I'm ever back in the area I'd give it a second try to see if it was a one off or not.
