I haven't been here since high school so it's been time to come back. I got a beignet and a cinnamon roll, along with the pork-chop egg and rice. It's just like being at your grandma or auntie house eating breakfast on a Saturday morning. The beignet was soft and fresh with just the right amount of powder sugar and that cinnamon had some weight to it but it was really good. The pork chop was seasoned to perfection I seldomly eat pork and it was really good. The rice and eggs was good too not over seasoned. Picking up something for a friend and he wanted this place so I decided what the heck. I am so glad I got something because lord was it good. For timers do not stop the the drive thru sign to order the speaker is not working. Pull to the window and order! Also the hours on here aren't correct I think they open about 5 am and close around 1. Y'all. This pork chop was pretty good. I could tell it had been marinating. Nobody was in the drive thru line but still felt rushed to place order. Pork chop breakfast was good but it didn't come with toast. I went to the window because on the website and delivery apps toast is included with meal. Cashier stated she'll have to charge me an extra $2.19 for toast. I went in search of a plain King's Cake. One of my teammates suggested Mikey's so I thought I would give them a try. I wasn't disappointed. I addition to the Kings Cake I decided to grab breakfast. Sausage patty, toast, eggs and potatoes with a side grits. The potatoes were well seasoned and the grits needed a touch of salt but otherwise delicious. The King's Cake amazing. Ya want a really good breakfast and not pay a ton of money? Mikey's is the place to go!! From 5:00 to 6:00 am it's drive through but after that you can sit inside. The staff bustles about cooking and serving good food and doughnuts, really good doughnuts! I've found the early morning coffee clutch old codgers holding court to be a lot of fun, they are warming up to go hang out at the barber shop. There's a super friendly nice as pie lady running the counter and a couple guys running the back, they don't seem to slow down! They are open Tuesday through Sunday. This place was somewhere I would stop at for a quick breakfast on the go, but today I was disrespected and yelled at by an employee of this establishment who told me he didn't have time to ply with food and to get out. He also refused to give me information as far as who is the owner or manager so I can have this issue resolved in a more professional manner. Brad is RUDE AF!!! First, I placed a specific yet simple order with the counter guy (the same guy who yelled and disrespected me). He never told the cooks that I had a special order, so after seeing my food, I asked for it to be made the way I ordered. Second time asking, they still didn't get it right. At that point wanted a refund being I was about to be running late for class finals and didn't want to waste time having them remake my simple food order again incorrectly. When I asked for a refund, the counter guy exploded with anger yelling at me in from of MANY customers "What is wrong with the food?" I told him, "please, I just want refund,". I visited this restaurant for the first time today. I walked inside to place my order. I informed the cashier that I needed a second, he says to me in a very unprofessional, rude manner that they were short staffed and the lobby was about to close so if I was going to order, I needed to order now. I let someone go before me and after I was treated poorly, I still decided to place an order. I proceeded to place my order and when the cashier told me my total, it was extremely high and it didn't match the price on the menu. I questioned him about the price and was told that the prices on his menu were incorrect. The menu that was posted all over the restaurant. The cashier started to stutter because he was overcharging me. I told him don't worry about it, I would go somewhere else. I wouldn't advise anyone to visit this establishment. The customer service is horrible. I spoke with a couple people about this and they said the cashier that I encountered owns this establishment and he's always rude. So I went back and by the time I drove back and waited in the drive thru line...which all they do is drive thru....my food was cold so I decided to just get my money back. The lady told me that she can put it in the microwave. I was like I could have done that but when you put it in the microwave, it gets rubbery. So she started telling the cook what I requested and grabbing my bottle water I never received. He came to the window with an attitude asking what did I want. I told him the same thing. He said toast doesn't come with the omelette. I pointed to the menu and said the menu says it come with toast or biscuit. He said their prices went up. So I was like that has nothing to do with nothing. I was thinking I was getting toast. If it doesn't come with it anymore, just tell me that and give me the option to pay for toast or not. So, I told him that I don't like eating an omelette without toast. He said well he doesn't know what I don't like to eat and its not his fault. I was like really.
