No matter what else you wanna get on the menu.. you must get one of these! I had a long road trip and didn't wanna stop for food anymore in the day.. so I got a gambit of stuff. Breakfast burritos. The donut holes are delicious! They melt in your mouth. Sorry -they didn't make the arrival back home. Fritters are nice size for price point. Service was quick and fast with all the traffic they had at the time I entered. Very polite staff. A cute shop in an old fast food joint. read more

Great morning spot! We literally stop here every morning & our entire family LOVE this location! We enjoy the warm & fresh glazed donuts with a dozen donuts holes for the kids. My sister enjoys the apple fritters while my husband has an obsession with the cinnamon rolls. I get my coworkers kolaches when we have early morning shipment & they love them! There have mornings if they've sold out of apple fritters & they will cook some fresh. Service is always quick & nice. When we have time to sit inside, it's clean & service is just as great. Try their new iced coffee (not pictured). You get a pretty nice size & it's just the right ratio of coffee/creamer sweetness. There's also a location in central & new one on Perkins. Went thru the drive thru, which I was glad they had. I order a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito. She asked if I wanted it heated up which should've been a sign, but I got it heated. I also got a single glazed donut. The donut was perfect the kind of dough that compresses. Note that I usually get dount holes but the holes were more expensive than the single donut. Anyways the burrito was half steam half cold. I looked like it was cooked in a pan and cut into spears to fit a tortilla. Wasn't a fan. The BEST Donuts in town This was my first time trying these donuts, but my family drives from Denham Springs to get a dozen donuts every Saturday morning. I'm not a huge donut lover, but I do enjoy them on occasions. These donuts are so good, they melt in your mouth. I've eaten donuts from other places in Baton Rouge, but these donuts are the BEST. They were hot, fresh, light, sweet, perfectly glazed, and not too doughy. There are many other freshly baked breakfast options to choose from if you're not a donut lover. Today I had 2 Glazed Daunts for $1.49 each and the Spinach and Feta Danish for $3.99. The Spinach & Feta Danish was light, flaky, perfectly baked to a golden brown, and extremely delicious (I just wish they used fresh spinach). The restaurant itself was very clean, the beverage cooler was well stocked with a large variety of beverages, and the employees were moving with intensity to serve every customer as quickly as they could. I thought i got a croissant by mistake because it was so soft and flaky, not thick and chewy like most places make. I'm going back tomorrow! The donuts here are bangin! The flavor and texture profile of their glazed is similar to whats served at mary lees, but it hits several different hit boxes. The batter ir whatever they use gives the donut a more air like fluff and it just comes together so well! The lady who usually is there at 5am is very professional. Even though i had to wait a few minutes and pull up, I got brought hot "off the roller "donuts for my first visit at the establishment. Woke up this morning and had a craving for donuts. Decided to search on Yelp to see what was in my general vicinity that I'd not tried before and came across 'Town Donut & Breakfast' on O'Neal between Old Hammond highway and the I-12 interstate. It's located in a stand alone building that was previously a small Chase Bank. Chase still has a drive-thru ATM in their parking lot which is handy, and the donut shop itself has a drive-up window. Here's a picture of the three donuts I decided on. That is a PLATTER the three donuts are sitting on, not a regular dinner plate. The donuts are that large. For the large powdered donut I opted to get it filled with strawberry jam. They fill their solid donuts per order and have choices of: Bavarian cream, raspberry jam, lemon, and what I ordered which was the strawberry jam. It was totally filled with strawberry jam and what I really loved about it was that the strawberry jam was not cloyingly sweet. It was sweet of course, but not overly so like most jelly donuts. Can't speak for the other flavors - at least not yet LOL. My belly is busting so I can't give you a taste review on the apple fritter or the donut 'pinecone' at this writing but have every belief that it will be just as delicious as everything else I tried. I also enjoyed two of their savory options (oink), sorry I don't have pictures because I ate them before I thought to do that (sorry - not sorry...HeHe) If you like Spanakopia, you'll ADORE their lattice top rectangular spinach and feta cheese Danish. It's not puff pastry, but still light and airy. Their breakfast croissant sandwich is also absolutely huge. Unlike a lot of fast food places, the croissant is airy without being greasy. Not a French patisserie croissant quality like La Madeleine, but very good nonetheless. The egg is real/freshly cooked and overall the sandwich was very filling and quite tasty. They offer ham, sausage and bacon as the meat options for the croissant sandwiches. Of course they also have the traditional Baton Rouge kolach breakfast rolls as well with what seemed to be a large assortment of meat fillings. There's a small seating area with about 6/8 tables if you want to eat in. They serve community coffee and the usual assorted drinks including flavored/plain milk for the kids. Staff is friendly and quick with the orders if you need something warmed up like one of the savory sandwiches or to have a donut filled. The dining area appeared to be well kept up and clean. All in all this is my new favorite donut place in Baton Rouge. I still miss Dunkin' Donuts because I prefer 'cake' over 'yeast' donuts, but a good donut when you're having a craving really hits the spot. I am a part time door dasher and I have been to this establishment a couple times and the donuts and other baked goods were amazing the workers they are very informative, polite and courteous.
