This place is fabulous. Second time I've visited and both me and my husband have been thoroughly impressed each time. I always order a cinnamon twist and he always orders a breakfast croissant. My cinnamon twist is always a 10/10. I wouldn't change a thing! It's glazed, but not too heavily. It's a nice golden color, not overcooked at all! And the cinnamon flavor, DIVINE! The ham, egg, & cheese croissant my husband gets is good. They always make sure to warm it up so it's nice and hot. The only issue is that's it's a little plain. Not bad, but not great. We spotted Delicious Donuts on our way back to the hotel and couldn't pass it up the next morning. Walking through the door the smell alone made us hungry. The shop was exceptionally clean, the owners were very friendly, and everything looked fresh. The donuts were absolutely delicious, and the savory kolaches were just as good--we had to try both. It's been getting rave reviews by my neighbors on the NEXTDOOR app so i had to check it out even though I get up way to late for donuts. Great place with super nice owners. First time we got a few glazed donuts and an Apple fritter. Good as donuts go. Second time I tried a boudin donut. First place I'd ever seen this. I expected it to be something that I'd never have again similar to the donut burger I had at another donut place but this was done in a different way than that. Loved that it was boudin inside an unglazed round donut instead of glazed donut - made it less of a novelty food. There's also a drive through if you're in a rush and I think there's more to the menu than just donuts but don't quote me on that. As for the Coronavirus part of the review, very clean place and masks were worn inside. Should be noted that both times I went were somewhat later than prime donut time on the weekends and they were out of some items which would be expected for any donut shop. It's a great, early morning donut place. We were worried since we came in half an hour before close that there wouldn't be a lot left, but as you can see, there was still quite a bit and it was all so fresh and yummy. I had the jalapeño kolaches and boudin rolls..both were delicious. The boudin rolls were FULL of boudin, so if you love boudin then this is for you. The doughnuts are also pretty tasty. This was the first time I tried this donut shop. It was well decorated and had a great atmosphere when you entered the building. You are greatest by the owners as soon as you walk in and they are friendly and offer awesome service. The donuts are not the best that I ever had but settled the craving. They are better when fresh, not so much eating them a day later. I also tried the boudin stuffed roll. It was ok, the roll was sweet but the boudin was a little overdone. Being this is the only donut shop I pass on my way from work, it would do in a pinch. read more

Update: Forget heroin, crack and nicotine. Delicious Donuts needs to put a HUGE warning label for that the most addictive substance ever discovered: fresh, warm apple fritters. OMG!! My beloved husband has procured WARM apple fritters from Delicious Donuts for the last two days. We are in the process of moving permanently to Baton Rouge. I am certain that after we are moved in, all the effort I have put into maintaining my figure for the last 50 years will have been a waste. Those warm, crispy apple-y fritters are so incredibly and amazingly scrumptious that I will be a star on "My 600 Pound Life" by this time next year. The first ones I had earlier this week were not warm but still amazingly fabulous but the last two days when the owner put WARM apple fritters in the bag eclipsed all other apple fritters available in the known universe. I'm out of adjectives with which to praise their fritters which is sad considering I hold a degree in English. Go try them and you will also be addicted and speechless. They are THAT incredible. I got the boudin buns as a prize from Yelp's Thanksgiving Happizza Hour and wow it was such a treat!!! The dough for the buns is slightly sweet and not dense at all. The boudin is so savory and delicious it makes the perfect treat for a light breakfast! The donuts are so light and yeasty and perfectly frosted--not overly sweet. This was my first time here and it was love at first bite for me! The staff was so incredibly sweet. I wanted to try a little bit of savory and a bit of sweet, so I got a kolache and a few donuts. When I got home, I could hardly wait to dive into all of the goodness. I wanted to save the sausage kolache for my daughter, so I only cut a sliver of it to try... ummm, yummmm!! I will need to go in for more because it was so delicious and so fresh. Now, onto the donuts. The glazed one was so incredibly good... the lightest and most perfect glazed donut ever! I also got a chocolate filled one. They fill the donuts on demand and you get to pick your flavor filling. Their apple fritter was quite yummy, too. Please do yourself a favor and visit this donut shop. They're open 7 days a week, 5am-1pm... now that's dedication! Want to give the gift of donuts? This was my first time visiting Delicious Donuts and it was a great experience! The inside of the store was very clean and the employees are nice and friendly! I ended up getting a mixed variety of donuts including the glazed, chocolate glaze, and sprinkles. I also purchased a lemon filled donut and a Bavarian filled donut which were great as well. The woman who took my order also threw in a bunch of donut holes and a blueberry cake donut for no charge which was really awesome! The sausage kolaches were also delicious and were massive! Have stopped by Delicious twice now and I have to say they are true to their name. I'm a traditional glazed girl myself and these are awesome. Light and fluffy but just the right amount of bready goodness to perfectly match with the sugar. If you're looking for something a little more savory for breakfast, their croissant sandwiches are yummy as well. Served warm, they are the perfect way to start your morning. I've had both the bacon and sausage and was very pleased. The only thing that could make it better was if the donuts were served warm. I'm definitely a fan and will be back to try more! read more

I have been to this place twice in the last two weeks. The first experience started with a long car line, so I knew right there that the donuts must be good. Even though the car line was long, it was moving pretty fast unlike the Krispy Kreme in Baton Rouge where being in a car line could cost you an hour of your day. The customer service was very good, for the lady was very nice that took my order. The donuts were great during my first experience. They were still warm, and the chocolate donuts' sauce was still creamy with a great flavor. My second experience was different, for the donuts were cold. The chocolate donuts frosting was hard, and I just threw the other chocolate donuts in the trash. The glazed donuts, even though they were not warm, were still tasty. My second experience is why I took away one star and gave them a 4/5. read more

So my car is currently in the shop, and I've been craving donuts, so I had to enlist the help of some delivery and get my fix. I decided to try this new place, and with the way delivery apps are, I was getting quite a few items to make it work it. More than donuts, I was craving eclairs especially! So that was the first thing I ate in my order. Now, let's rip this band-aid off quick. The eclair wasn't up to par with what I envisioned; not bad in any way, just nothing special. That's the bad news. The good news is that is where the negatives end! I'll work my way from my least favorites to the absolute godsends of the order I placed, keep in mind none of this part was bad, simply some outshined the others. 5. The glazed donut- a true staple, and it hit all the right marks. Not a single bad thing to say. 4. Lemon filled donut - I'm a sucker for lemon, it's what you'd expect, fantastic tang to the filling. Now let me preface the top three by saying these items are all difficult to rank, on a 10 point scale they'd all be 9's at the very least. But if I had to try my hardest to rank them I'd say: 3. Jalapeño-sausage-cheese kolache. What's this? A savory item? Yes. When your plan is to eat 5 sweet donuts before 9 am you have to strategize and plan for something savory in the mix. This kolache went well beyond that which we can find at *cough* other local places. This is a kolache done right, and I know with delivery I paid more than I should have for this, but I'd pay it again (though getting them cheaper in shop will allow me to buy plenty more). A buttery crust wrapped around a spicy creamy fatty filling; now that screams breakfast. 2. The Apple Fritter- sure, when I was ordering I was looking at my phone and saying "hey look they have fritters, guess I'll buy one" but next time I'll be looking at my friends saying "they have fritters, buy them." This was initially thought to be an add-on to my order but wound up surprising me quite a bit. 1. Blueberry Cake Donut- I knew this would be #1 before I ordered it. Any donut place, when it comes to me, has a trump card up their sleeve if they produce a blueberry cake donut. This donut was no exception to this rule. Sweet, soft, fruity. Sweet Lincoln's mother, if this donut was a woman, I'd kiss her. My least favorite part of consuming this was realizing I ate the whole thing so quick. My rule of thumb from here on is you must purchase a 6 pack minimum of these things, you can thank me later. While my stomach's day has been immeasurably ruined by the sheer amount of sugar and carbs I consumed in this meal, I'll happily overlook that, because my day was made. Now, time to chug some pepto and start the days work. Thank you guys for putting a smile on my face this morning, I will not forget it. read more

Honestly one of, if not the best, glazed donut in town. I'm a Mary Lee fan and I don't know if anything beats a fresh glazed from there but this is VERY close. After sitting for an hour or so these are better than Mary Lee, so fluffy and light. These would probably be a better bet when bringing to the office as the keep for longer if that makes sense. Chocolate was great, sprinkle was great, apple fritter was great, blueberry cake was great. Y'all really need to do a maple donut and maybe one with Oreos on it and I would have no need to go to Mary Lee anymore. My one critique would be if their cinnamon rolls. There is NO cinnamon. It bothers me when places call something a cinnamon roll and there is zero cinnamon in the layers. read more
