Wow, this place succeeded my expectations. Even when the drink came out, I was hesitant because of the color of the Matcha. However, the drink was perfectly sweetened, the mango purée was one of the most fresh and not overly sweet ones that I've had. Sure the Matcha taste could be a little bit stronger, but in Baton Rouge this is probably one of the best tasting ones you can get! I highly recommend and would come back.

My first "office" of the day, I arrived here early enough to pick a good seat close to the power outlets. Cortado on the menu and when my name was called out a few minutes later, this is perfect. Served precisely the way it should be in a short glass and with another glass of fizzy water. This is a real barista and not one of those "button pusher" types! Over the course of the next hour, Light House Coffee filled up and got chatty. Lots of people talking, a few people working or studying, everyone drinking great coffee. My coffee did its job and over the three hours, I did mine. A lovely busy spot that isn't one of those Green Siren outlets. You will want to get here early to ensure you can get a seat. A great local coffee shop! Their food is amazing, I am more of a fan of the food than anything here... everything I get is always amazing. I got the bacon quiche and lemonade for breakfast. The quiche was probably the best thing about my day, just so good. On the way out, I decided to get a coffee, so I got my usual cold brew with almond milk. I love to decor in this coffee spot. Not too over the top, but subtle and modern. Such a great college hang out space for catching up or studying. Every month they have local pop up shops outside the store. I love how Light House supports local, and it is great to see all of the local shops!

Super friendly staff, great selection of coffees and tea's. They have all types of toasts here also the prosciutto and fig toast is my favorite and the blueberry scone is scrumptious but they all look and sound delicious. I got a iced black tea with lemon juice which is delicious! Lots of seating inside and they also have outside seating.

Great service must try if your a coffee lover great place to hung out with friends . The stuff is amazing

My favorite place to study as a college student! The aesthetic is super nice but I will say that it is a pretty packed place almost every single day so it's hard to find a seat. I love their staff and the music choice. I usually get a black tea when I study and it has become one of my staple study drinks.

Nice place. Not really for me. They only serve one size coffee, 12 oz. Pastries were good. I had a blueberry scone which was more cake than scone. Coffee was okay. Prices were a little high but competitive for the area. Staff was friendly and service was pretty fast despite being busy. Seems more geared toward college students. Probably won't intentionally be back because I'm a long time coffee drinker with habits and preferences but wouldn't mind it if I found myself there in the future.

The place was cute but overpriced and not that good. My husband got the tomato soup and said it tasted like marinara out of a jar, could not finish it. The iced coffee was also sour even after we returned it for a new cup. The avocado toast was overloaded with balsamic which meant I couldn't even taste anything else and the bacon toast was on the opposite end, under seasoned. All in all, the food looks pretty and service was good, but it is not worth the price.

I always really enjoy this place! It's a coffee shop I bring people when they're visiting Baton Rouge. First if all, the coffee is good! The quality is nice. The baristas steam, and aerate the milk to perfection making great tasting lattes, cortados...etc. And the aesthetic of the place is extra cute and picture worthy! Get ready to have some bomb instagram posts if that's your thing. The employees are so friendly, and are happy to give suggestions if you're not sure what to get. I also love that they sell goods of local small businesses. Things like books, hand-made scarfs, ankara bags...the items vary over time. It's also a great place to work. You'll find plenty locals with computers, and notebooks cracking down and being productive. There are both indoor and outdoor seats. I hope you love this place as much as I do!

We were recommended this spot by some of our local friends. The aesthetics are on point. It was such a popular spot because there was literally nowhere to sit. To be honest, the low review is mostly because of the baristas' lack of enthusiasm & knowledge of their coffee. I really wanted to justify the overpriced coffee, but I could not. It was "ehhh" coffee. I've had better for lesser than that price.

This place is a gem! I've been hearing about it for awhile but never checked it out. I needed to get some work done but had a lot of family in town for the holidays so it was too easily to get distracted at home. I went to light house, found a seat and ordered an iced coffee. The atmosphere is great. One room most people were working and reading. It was more of a quiet area. The main space was a mixture of people working, socializing, and enjoying their coffee items. It does get packed fast but I'll definetly be back. Next time I want to try some of their food items. Their avacado toast looked really good. Highly reccomend.

I have lived in BR for 6 years now. Many departments at LSU take guests there and in that time, Building 5 has done nothing to improve its parking lot. The restaurant sits underneath an overpass and the parking is pothole marked unpaved gravel. This means that there is no room for wheelchairs or accommodations for anyone who is differently-abled to get into the restaurant. The whole restaurant makes no room for handicapped persons. On the occasion I did get food, the food is slightly overpriced. All meats were cooked adequately but the food was lukewarm probably owing to sitting in the kitchen under the heat lamp than being delivered promptly. When I have gone, I regularly have to ask for refills on soda as I am the designated driver often for department functions. Servers pay you no heed if you do not buy alcohol. Because I go here because of academic reasons, I would barely go here myself. I've been here many times and found it wanting. It's an ableist place in its infrastructure. It's fine I'm atmosphere as a cocktail bar but would little recommend it to people I call friend.

We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.
