Stopped in for dinner before heading over to the edge for blitz Blingo. We had crispy garlic chicken wings, rock n crawfish & pad Thai to eat and we enjoyed the red lotus cocktail and swamp dragon cocktail. Our server was attentive. It was a nice crowd, not to packed. The service was pretty fast also. So we made it out from dinner to the garage to put out to go boxes away and back into the edge in time for Blingo.

We decided to try this restaurant because it was the only one open inside of the casino. We were happy that it stayed open an hour later than the other restaurants. The crawfish appetizer was so delicious definitely a 5/5. The fried rice was a 3/5 pretty decent. The soup was not good at all. The broth was good but the noodles tasted very fake and the meat was not good. The noodles 3/5 as well. The service was pretty good as well. Mainly the crawfish appetizer is the reason we gave it 4 stars!

Zero complaints here. The food was great. The service was amazing and the ambiance was quiet and peaceful even if it's inside of a casino. The crabmeat and cream cheese wontons were the best I've found in this city. Half off drinks during certain hours and days of the week. This one was sunrise cocktail and was really good! The pad Thai was super flavorful. Enough to take home. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy good food.

Pho noodles and a kettle of hot tea with iced tea on the side.

I liked it, no complaints. It's a bit pricey but good environment and quality food, they use Louisiana seafood. Service was impeccable

Nice atmosphere. Service was subpar. Food was mediocre and overpriced. The drinks were awesome. It was a spontaneous visit and options were limited.

This place is located in the casino of L'auberge! I was pleasantly surprised. A high end kind of Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine place. I started with the crab rangoons and these are definitely a must!!! Best crab rangoons I've had -- the best fried wonton to crab/cream cheese ratio. The filling and dipping sauce was to die for. The crispy General Tso's chicken is crispy and comes with white rice. The orange chicken was a little too sweet for my taste. The cocktails were also really good, would get if you don't like too much alcohol and fruity flavors! The spring roll was good as well. Would come here again especially for the crab rangoons!

DRUNKEN NOODLES

Atmosphere good; food mediocre. I'm from the New Orleans area where Vietnamese and oriental food restaurants abound. My visit here included the following items: VIETNAMESE EGG ROLL, HOUSE FRIED RICE, SHRIMP & SCALLOPS and DRUNKEN NOODLES. As a whole, the food lacked depth and flavor. The entree sauces were bland, except for the dipping sauce that accompanied the egg rolls. The egg rolls were extreme greasy and lacked a crunchy crust known for such type egg rolls and the flavor was just mediocre. All of the entrees were well presented and fresh and the waitress was very pleasant. The use of some light soy sauce on all the entrees helped to enhance the lackluster flavor of the dishes.

Since the first week of trying this place, things have changed! Everything is overcooked and rushed. Nobody seems to care about your concerns. Some of the new menu items are the same as The Lake Charles location and the look and taste are totally different. The pickings of what and where to eat are very slim to none. I don't recommend eating there anymore!

Wow. Surprising how good this was. Shaking beef was amazing... even the salad was extremely good.

Drunken Noodles

Got Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai, its decent but Drunken Noodles barely had any noodles and the waitress said there was noodles in there. Had to transfer noodles from Pad Thai over. If you're expecting real Thai food, this is not it but good for quick meal.

Hidden up-charges and overpriced for what you get The menu…read morethat is clearly plastered online is full of incorrect prices that they don't bother updating. We ordered the big family meal, which online states that it's $44.99 for 3 large entrees and 2 large sides, and 6 egg rolls for $10. We called and placed our order, the woman on the phone didn't mention the $6 up-charge for an entree with shrimp. The online menu says it's $2 extra for small entrees (we got large) or sides with shrimp (we didn't have a side with shrimp we got the bang bang shrimp as an entree we only got plain fried rice and noodles as our 2 sides). We get there to pay and it's $70! She then admits that the online menus/prices are wrong and the big family meal is $49.99 and there's a $6 up-charge for entrees with shrimp which should have been mentioned on the phone and is funny because the shrimp was the best thing we got. Our beef and broccoli was very watery for some reason but the general tso chicken isn't bad, better than the fried rice. Overall I really wouldn't spend my money here.

I've always wanted to try this place and finally had the chance to. I went in at 10:30am as soon as they opened. I got the cove platter with the 3 meats. I chose chicken katsu, chicken teriyaki, and kalbi. I asked for brown rice instead of white and it came with a side of macaroni salad. The chicken katsu was very well fried. Very crunchy still since I made the trip to work and was able to still enjoy that crunch. The kalbi was okay it was marinated from what I could tell but I wasn't getting too much flavor from the meat. It was tender but it didn't have those grill marks or the char I was looking for. The chicken Teriyaki was a bit on the drier side for me. I was expecting the chicken to be in a sauce but it wasn't. It also didn't have that typical teriyaki flavor. They did put a sauce on the side im not sure what it was. It didn't stick to the chicken and the rice soaked it all up. The macaroni salad was a disappointment it was on the dry side with just egg and maybe a relish of some sort but that was it. I had to add a salt and pepper but still it was dry. The dumplings were the best thing, it comes with a tasty sweet chili sauce. The kimchi appeared to be old and didn't have flavor at all I didn't eat it. Unfortunately I may not be back.

We ordered the two meat plate (pork katsu and kalbi), spam musubi and the bulgogi burger. Kalbi was tender and had a good flavor, but meat was very thin. Pork katsu was ok - also very thin, but fried crisp on outside. Musubi was ok - a little dry. Burger was interesting. Not bad but probably wouldn't order again. The meat itself was marinated and tasted good. Again, the place was clean and the owners are very friendly and the food was good.

We went to Salt & Light for Sushi immediately after landing in Gonzales because we were starving,…read moreand it turned into one of the best date nights we've had in a long time. We met the owner, Shelly, who is originally from China, and she was incredibly warm and welcoming. What really surprised us was that they served us fresh wasabi instead of the usual paste -- I've never had that before, and it was amazing. Once you try it fresh, you can never go back. Our server, Dashay, was fantastic -- kind, attentive, and just such a lovely young woman. We started with hot sake and Kirin draft beer, then ordered a spicy tuna roll and a hamachi (yellowtail and scallion) roll, both of which were excellent. We also had tempura -- the batter was a little thick for my personal taste, but the sauces were so good that it still hit the spot. My favorite dish was the ama ebi (sweet shrimp), especially because they bring out the fried shrimp head, which was crispy and delicious. The sushi was fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully balanced. Between the amazing food and the genuine hospitality, we had such a wonderful evening. I can absolutely see why this is Parker's favorite sushi spot in Gonzales. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back.

We ordered the vegetable spring rolls they had very little filling, had an odd flavor from the oil, but were very crispy. I ordered the hibachi lunch. My daughter ordered General Taos chicken. The portions were large. The fried rice had hard dried out pieces of rice, I guess it had sat open somewhere and dried out. the menu said my chicken would have a teriyaki sauce, not teriyaki, some not good sauce which was so salty I couldn't eat it. The raw chicken had not been covered I am guessing, because it had a 'skin' on it? I could not eat it. My lunch came with a choice of salad or clear soup. I chose the salad, was very crispy but it had almost an 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the bowl. My daughter said her clear soup was excellent. Her General Taos chicken had an old freezer taste she said . We were totally unable to eat the entrees. So sad. We had hoped that this would be our go to place for Chinese food.

We were out running errands and the pang of hunger reminded us that we had not eaten breakfast…read more Following a brief stop at the Asian Mart, we proceeded to Teriyaki Tiger, which was conveniently located nearby. The estimated wait time for our call-in order was 18 minutes. My husband arrived 5 minutes after placing the order and found that it was ready for pickup, enabling a quick in-and-out experience. This establishment proudly proclaimed on its website, 'Extraordinary specialty, authentic taste carefully selects the freshest ingredients and serving traditional Japanese culinary skills to satisfy your taste buds.' After driving by it numerous times, we decided to indulge in one traditional, authentic Japanese item from their menu, eager to experience the epitome of culinary excellence. Marvin Gaye sang 'What's Going On?' So, let me describe what's going on at Teriyard Tiger, located at 11228 Florida Blvd... absolutely nothing. Because when it comes to authentic Japanese dumplings, they are not being served here. The perfectly crispy looking machine-made dumplings looked crispy, but tasted like eating a flavorless frisbee. As someone who shelled out $12.13 for two orders of dumplings, I expected to get the real deal, not some pre-made, pre-frozen impostors. The filling was basically just cabbage with some mystery meat that might've been pork, but I'm not convinced. And don't even get me started on the soy sauce - it was like they tried to recreate Japanese flavors, but ended up with something that tasted like it belonged in a bad 80s movie. Here's a tip: just use Kikkoman like a normal person. Several reviewers are praising this establishment, but my initial experience with their dumplings was underwhelming. The cost of dining out has skyrocketed across the USAs and menu prices keep climbing. Wasting my coin on mediocre food is not an option so as the adage goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately, they failed to impress by serving frozen food, which raises concerns about the freshness and quality of their offerings. This experience has led me to question the authenticity of their claims. Consequently, sticking to my one time resolution I will not be giving them a second chance unless someone else is treating.
