This was my first time going to this restaurant and I was very pleased. I ordered the spicy orange chicken, mixed grill platter,spicy chicken lettuce wraps, crab Rangoon everything was great. Also order a pot of hot green tea perfect. This was a great experience a hidden gem go through the casino and you have a great place to dine. I had the opportunity to try this place after visiting the Baton Rouge Asian Night Market Event and winning a food voucher to visit any restaurant in the casino. The atmosphere is dim lit and chic. This is a good date night spot, great for online/pick up orders, lunch dining, and more. Service was a bit slow but I truly enjoyed the chicken lettuce wraps, spicy mandarin chicken, egg fried rice, and crab Rangoons with sweet and spicy sauce greatly complimented them. I was not a fan of the mixed meat plate- the meats weren't very seasoned/tasted fresh. Also, the beef meat was not tender. I'm a regular customer to Red Lotus. However my experience with the front desk customer service today on 09/18/2026 was the worst customer service experience that I have experienced in a long time. I always do take out, but whoever this staff member was, needs to be fired. First, she appeared like she hated her job. While ordering and asking her questions, it seemed like I was bothering her. I kept asking her about what was left on my card and she didn't really want to answer. I wanted to add a last minute item on my order and she handed me my receipt and stated sign this. I told her she wasn't being very nice and she said, " I don't have to be nice to you". Yes mame you do. You mean to tell me that you treat your customers this way. I spoke with the manager, not sure if that did any good. I also witness another customer saying thank you and she turned her back and walked off. She was a mess and if it was my business she would have been fired. Just out right unprofessional. Standing up there scrolling on her cell phone and all. Please don't let this young lady run your customers off. Then when I received my food, I wasn't so nice because she had this smirk on her face. I jerked my food and walked off. No that wasn't very nice either. But what she did after, was let out this weird crazy laugh as to say to me "F me. She just started laughing real loud as to taunt me. Just crazy. If I ever buy anything else from Red Lotus, I would never order if this young lady is there. I absolutely love red Lotus Asian kitchen! The food is very authentic, the customer service is top-notch and they have my absolute favorite egg rolls in town! Even when I get takeout, the food heats up perfectly the next day. Their prices are moderate, the ambience is great. I'm picky and I would highly recommend the red Lotus Asian kitchen. I love the orange chicken, pad Thai, egg drop soup, Any of the appetizers really. I also like the PHO which has several types of meat in it! I had egg rolls which fantastic the girls had crab Rangoon. You know egg rolls are rolls but these were great. The scallops dish was amazing. Stopped in for dinner before heading over to the edge for blitz Blingo. We decided to try this restaurant because it was the only one open inside of the casino. We were happy that it stayed open an hour later than the other restaurants. The crawfish appetizer was so delicious definitely a 5/5. The fried rice was a 3/5 pretty decent. The soup was not good at all. The broth was good but the noodles tasted very fake and the meat was not good. The noodles 3/5 as well. The service was pretty good as well. The crabmeat and cream cheese wontons were the best I've found in this city. Half off drinks during certain hours and days of the week. This one was sunrise cocktail and was really good! Best crab rangoons I've had -- the best fried wonton to crab/cream cheese ratio. The filling and dipping sauce was to die for. The crispy General Tso's chicken is crispy and comes with white rice. The orange chicken was a little too sweet for my taste. The cocktails were also really good, would get if you don't like too much alcohol and fruity flavors! The spring roll was good as well. The orange chicken was very good too. My husband ordered the hunan chicken. He didn't care for how the chicken was diced up so small, but he liked the vegetables that came with it. The only fault we had with anything was that we couldn't seem to get our check in the end. We kept waiting and waiting. Our waitress kept passing and not coming over. My visit here included the following items: VIETNAMESE EGG ROLL, HOUSE FRIED RICE, SHRIMP & SCALLOPS and DRUNKEN NOODLES. As a whole, the food lacked depth and flavor. The entree sauces were bland, except for the dipping sauce that accompanied the egg rolls. The egg rolls were extreme greasy and lacked a crunchy crust known for such type egg rolls and the flavor was just mediocre.
